Sounds of hard punching can be heard in the locker room. In was the raging rose, Valerie jeane. Valerie was punching the wall to mentally prepare herself. After a few more punches she was called down. "Time for a beat down." She walked out. As she was walking to the ring, she just waved to the crowd, while she can be rude to people she's not a complete asshole. Some cheered and this made her smirk a bit.once she climbed onto the ring she sat on her corner and waited.

While waiting this gave her a good time to think about what she's up against. A woman named ayumi sato and all she knows is that she's tricky and unpredictable. *that sounded awesome!* Valerie thought to herself pretty excitingly. Valerie was now eagerly waiting to face her, ready for the challenge!!!

As the theme song of her would be opponent played, a rather theatric presentation would be in place which was bound to throw Valerie for a loop. For better or for worse Ayumi was an unpredictable one as instead of a person what seemed to be some sort of box. One that stood about the height of the average woman that seemed to have a giant question mark along it.. A stagehand at law with what seemed to be a stagehand walked up and rocked the box, as if to display this one did not seem to come apart or had sections before he took the saw and began to cut the box in half before the ever curious crowd.

The box would be cut clean in two as the new top "half" flopped and banged onto the stage. An audible curse escaped as it opened up and Ayumi's body tumbled out. Ayumi had not gotten a clean exit as she would have liked but the trick concluded with a bow as the crowd cheered a bit at this as Ayumi then made her way to the ring and slide under the bottom rope. Striking a pose before she turned to face Valerie with a wink.

"What do you think? Pretty cool huh? Figured I could try a new trick to dazzle the crowd. I do want to make it a show~" Ayumi said in natural high spirits.

Valerie heard the theme song and smirked. "Ok time to..." soon her smirk turned into a look of confusion, instead of seeing ayumi sato she saw a big box with a question mark on it.

"Hm?" She wondered, then she saw a male who cut the box in half! This shocked her! *did He.... just kill her?!* looks like she was gonna win this by default, and that was very disappointing to her.....but wait! Ayumi Sato appeared unharmed and game the crowed a bow, and then slide under the ropes and struck a pose and winked at Valerie.

All the excitement that Valerie had was now gone in the wind without a trace, as if it never existed at all. She put her face on her hand and gave a very disappointing sigh. *are you.... fucking kidding me?! Instead of facing a unpredictable and tricky oppenent, or a juggernaught or even a speedster I get a goddamn showwoman stooge?!* "sigh" fine..... I'll do it but I'm not happy about it" she said to herself and then she turned her attention to her. "Yea yea sure whatever, anyways get ready for a Beat down, I'm gonna hurt you so badly that your hat Wil be your face" she said as she cracked her own neck bone.

Ayumi felt a sweat drop roll down the back of her neck as Valerie made her threat known to her. Seems she was a harsh critic, and given that in this case the critic can punch one in the face if they dislike their opposition this did not bode well for her. Especially given her opponent's greater height and more athletic frame.

Perhaps if Ayumi performed a better trick before they began, she could get on Valerie's good side and ease into this. Or maybe she can use it as a distraction and try to take the offensive. Either way she decided to go with it as she walked over to Valerie with a toothy but "friendly" smirk.

"Ah no need to have the long face, this is all meant to be just good fun. Here let me show you a really good trick and see if I can turn that frown upside down." Ayumi said, as she reached into her top's pocket and pulled out a hand of cards holding it on display before Valerie.

"Pick a card, any card!"

Valerie had a look of anger on her face as she gave her a shit eating grin, that made her sick! And now she was offering her cards to pick one. At this point she's slamming her head to a brick wall in her mind.
But..... she'll play along.... for now...

"Alright I'll play your little game for now but know this, your a embarrassment towards fighters everywhere. In fact everything your saying is making me violently angry and the only positive is that soon I'll beat you with a honest to god smile on my face in fact I'm already thinking of 17 ways on beating you, and all of them are unpleasant to the human ear." She said staring her down and grabs a card.

"T-thank you..." Ayumi said, with a comical sweat drop as Valerie picked her card, but not before she made mention her contempt for Ayumi's little act and what she planned to do for her in this match. Suddenly this seemed like a poor idea, but she could not back down now and she could only hope the impression she left would change her tune.

"...a-all right! Now memorize that card, make sure I don't see it and place it back here in the deck." Ayumi said as she opened up the deck for Valerie to work with.

Valerie groaned and moaned at her stupidity. *Oh god this is gonna take all damn day* "fine." She put the card back into the deck, waiting for to be done so she could punch her face hard.

Ayumi took the card as she would shuffle the deck as she then "dropped" the cards into her jacket and seemed to have an overdramatic "fluster" to her.

"Oh dear, apologies let me just go and get them real quick." Ayumi said, pulling the cards from her jacket as she counted them before she frowned.

"Oh dear, your card seems to be missing. Ayumi said checking the ground around Valerie, before she grinned as she faced her.

"Ah here we go, tell me...is this your card~" Ayumi said pulling the card that Valerie picked from behind her own ear as she showed it to her with some in the confused crowd actually impressed with the trick and even some kids clapping.

Valerie went from a bored expression to a "I'm gonna beat her so hard that her grandchildren Will feel it in 50 years" expression as she dropped the cards and was checking the ground to for her card, and then she did something that was amusing and stupid to her.

She went behind her and pulled the card out of valeries ear, she heard the crowd clapped. Valerie thought of a sneaky little plan. She had a fake smile, "hmm not bad I was wrong about you, your pretty good, here's a round of applause for you." She suddnedly punches her face hard! Making the crowd gasp in surprise.

"Thank you! But you were a great subject glad you could...GAH!" Ayumi said, as her plans to help quell Valerie seemed to work only for the more athletic girl to reveal her true intent as she decked Ayumi across the face as the magician and her cards flew to the canvas as she groaned rubbing her jaw.

Needless to say, the cheap shot began this match with a bang. Just not the type the magician had been hoping for.
