Finding a groove! Alizeh vs Zetta

Alizeh sighed backstage bouncing from heel to heel psyching herself up for her next match. She had accepted as many matches as she could off the bat to make the most of an impression she could with the crowd of LAW fans. Good or bad. And tonight was another chance to do just that as she was up against a somewhat enigmatic opponet that was apparently a technical expert. However rather than be deterred by this the green haired girl was quite excited to go against another technician!

Taking a deep breath she ran out from backstage onto the ramp posing for the crowd in her classic orange outfit. Posing a bit as what was becoming normal for her she would run down the ramp highfiving fans in the front row before leaping up and landing on the ring apron. This time on her feet as she turned and looked over her shoulder to the crowd while giving a playful wink to show she was willing to mix things up every now and then. Throwing a leg over the rope she would slip between the ropes and enter the ring. Posing on top of the corner she would smile proudly at the fans before. stepping down and waiting for her opponet.

*Another day, another fight. The stoic firebird never hesitated in the face of a challenge, and tonight certainly wasn't an exception. Her opponent wasn't somebody that Zetta had previously encountered, but regardless, she would face her foe with the same level of zeal and enthusiasm as if she were competing for a title. After a silent moment that entailed her fitting into her signature, crimson and gold attire The Phoenix Queen was ready to make her appearance. Shaking off her trepidation, Zetta breached the opaque curtains and instantaneously struck a karate stance!*

*This prompted the vast majority of cameras in the audience to flash simultaneously, but that mattered little to the taciturn Zetta; all she was focused on was conquering the woman between the ropes. Finally approaching the outskirts of the ring, she calmly climbed the metallic staircase, eventually reaching her designated corner before hopping over the highest turnbuckle and landing squarely on her bare feet. Once she had finished her theatrics, Zetta removed her mask, unveiling her immaculate yet apathetic visage to the crowd.*

Alizeh seeing the brightly colored competitor on the entrance ramp smirked excitedly hopping up and down in excitement for the match to begin. Nodding to her opponet as she saw her unmasked apperance the green haired girl would send a wink to her opponet as she started to stretch her arms and out in preparation for the bell to ring starting this sure to be technical, and for Alizeh, fun match.

*While taking as much time as necessary to stretch her rigid body out before this altercation officially commenced, Zetta felt an unusually upbeat aura emanating from her opponent. Regardless of her best attempts at detecting any duplicity, she was unsuccessful; perhaps this Alizeh was genuinely eager to engage in a fight after all? Despite this oddity, Zetta had every intention of meticulously dissecting and isolating her foe's limbs, ultimately leaving her immobilized and defeated by her unmatched technical prowess!*

"Clang clang clang!" *The all too familiar bell sounded, signaling the beginning of the brawl! Still relatively unfamiliar with the affable entity across the ring, Zetta decided that the most pragmatic route to take would be one more geared towards accentuating her defense. Taking a solid stance, she planted her rear foot against the canvas while simultaneously raising her front foot, displaying her impeccable balance as she kept watch over Alizeh!*

As the bell rang Alizeh smirked bounding towards Zetta eager to get things started. While her opponet remained silent the green haired girl didn’t really get an upset or malicious vibe and figured that the submission expert probably was just the silent type. However as she ran Alizeh noticed the stance Zetta took and noted she’d probably have to be careful. ‘still a good offense is a good defense.’ She thought to herself as she jumped up going for a running knee to Zetta’s chest to see how she formerly masked woman would respond

*As a veteran of numerous encounters, ranging from humungous brutes to those of her own, diminutive size Zetta was seldom the type to ever get intimidated. As Alizeh charged towards her, her lower limb rising to introduce itself to the Phoenix Queen, Zetta would gracefully sidestep and manage to narrowly avoid the incoming attack. As the verdant-haired rapscallion whiffed, her leg sailing past the contemplating tactician, Zetta ensnared the base of her throat inside of a brutal headlock! It wouldn't be long before Zetta seized the entirety of Alizeh's neck, entrapping the unsuspecting woman within her deceptively powerful grasp!*

"Hnnh!" *With an unintelligible huff, Zetta torqued her body downwards to forcefully smash Alizeh against the canvas beneath them, causing the ring to shudder with a sickening* "THUNK!" *As her backside plummeted into the ring! Without a moment of hesitation, she covered the wounded woman's shoulders, attempting to secure a pinfall early on in this contest!*

Alizeh smiled as she sailed through the air her knee homing in on Zetta. However things would take a turn for the worse as at the last possible minute Zetta avoided the move. Widening her eyes Alizeh had no chance to do anything let alone react as she felt a arm like iron wrap around her neck. Then a single moment turned into a long, drawn out expansion of a second making everything seem like slow motion as she was suddenly thrown down to the ring gasping in pain from her back hitting the mat. “Huaf!”! She gasped out from the impact. ‘Ok... wasn’t expecting that.’ She had thought Zetta would counter somehow. But she certainly wasn’t expecting THAT. Feeling the Pheonix’s weight come down on her shoulders Alizeh’s eyes widened and despite the pain coursing through her back Alizeh would plant her hands on the mat and arch her back lifting her shoulders off the mat and stopping any three count from happening.

*Reinforcing her body's natural power by propping herself up and leaning against Alizeh full force, it came as quite the shock when her target forced a stoppage. However, even though the impromptu kick out slightly deterred Zetta, she wouldn't allow the groggy greenette any time to recuperate. Zetta was well aware that every second mattered in a tense matchup like this one, and setting the pace was paramount. If she abdicated her part in trying to put the rookie through her paces, then how could she claim her rightful throne as the elite lightweight of the law circuit? Surely, she wasn't going to relinquish her hold on Alizeh anytime soon, and to accentuate her point, she decided to transition from a pin to a submission maneuver.

"Mmhh." *Wasting little time in reasserting herself, Zetta ensnared Alizeth's arm while simultaneously pulling it sideways, attempting to catch her within a crooked armband. If proven successful, she would forcefully tug her limb sideways, looking to tear her arm off if possible. This wasn't just a way for her to establish herself as a tangible threat to the novice's chances of emerging as the victor, but to test the waters of her knowledge regarding various holds and locks she would inevitably face throughout her career!*

As she heard the ref stop the count Alizeh was about to turn over to try snd get some distance from Zetta. Unfortunately her opponet was just a bit faster than her as she pulled her arm back in a painful as heck submission hold. “Gah!” The greenette exclaimed as pain shot through her arm and elbow. “Grrrr think alizeh think.” She muttered while clenching her hand and jaw thinking of way to escape the hold. Kicking her legs against the mat Alizeh’s eyes widened as she got an idea. Pushing her head against the mat Alizeh twisted her torso towards Zetta in order to lessen the angle and subsequently the pain from Zetta’s move. In addition she’d hopefully angle herself to counter attack by shooting her leg up to kick Zetta square in the head and hopefully stun her. If successful she would follow it up with another knee to the head where if it hit she would then try to pull her arm free from the pheonix’s grasp

*While continuing to crank against her isolated limb, Zetta could feel the gears in her head begin to whirl. If she wanted to teach Alizeh the basics, then her form had to be impeccable. Attempting to roll sideways to achieve a better vantage point, Alizeh suddenly countered her move, effectively negating her motion completely! Perhaps there was something more to this rookie than first glance, Zetta thought, but before she had the opportunity to regain her composure, she would quickly find the business end of Alizeh's boot greeting the flank of her skull!*

"Gnnnh!" *She gnashed against her teeth to try and mitigate the pain, inadvertently releasing her prey before scooting across her posterior. The world seemed slightly hazier than it did a few moments ago, which instantaneously put Zetta on edge. Realizing that the most prudent option at her disposal would be to make a hasty retreat, she reluctantly recoiled from the situation entirely. This gave Alizeh the perfect opening to either press her advantage or regroup!*
