L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

Everything for the past few weeks was building up to this. Ever since Kaylie got recruited to LAW she was tweeting up a storm advertising her first match. She would say how lucky it is to be here, and to have a chance to prove herself. But Kaylie doesn't consider herself lucky. She considers herself more pragmatic. She picked up a bunch of fights with Jobbers that she absolutely knew she could win against to build up her win/loss ratio. Those easier fights made her record look a lot more impressive than it might have been if she had taken on fights honorably. Kaylie doesn't have time for honor though. She has a substantial online following she needs to impress. Kaylie's fans like her more when she wins, so she does whatever it takes to win. Just about everything Kaylie does is for the fans.

She found out beforehand that her very first opponent is going to be none other than Rose Matsumoto. Kaylie recognized the name. Rose used to be in some popular J-Pop group! Kaylie doesn't know which one, she doesn't listen to J-Pop often, but that doesn't matter. What matters is that people know Rose, and they like her. Kaylie was already thinking up all the ways she could use this. If she gets friendly with Rose, she could extend her fan base with Rose's fan base! Kaylie can already see it in her head. She'll win this fight and win over the crowd, then afterwards she'll dazzle Rose with her stunning personality, they'll become friends, and Kaylie will be more popular than ever! She has stars in her eyes just imagining it.

Kaylie's entrance music came on, and that was her cue to head out.

"Ladies and Gentleman, from the United States of America, the KO Queen, Kaylie KO!" The Announcer says as Kaylie walks out. On the front of her ring attire she has a pink and glittery "KO," but the O is replaced with a kiss emoji.

How many opportunities would Kaylie get to record her first entrance in LAW? Just one. So she came out with her phone in selfie mode, taking a video of her show boating to the audience as she made her way to the ring, blowing kisses as she does. She quickly uploads the video to her twitter before putting her phone down along with her headphones. Kaylie gets into her corner and waits for her opponent. Rose may have been in LAW longer than Kaylie, and may have been wrestling for longer than Kaylie, but Kaylie isn't worried. She thinks of herself as the best, the KO Queen, so why would she have to worry about her fight with Rose?

Familiar J-pop music started playing in the arena as Rose Matsumoto made her appearance to the LAW audience. Dancing to the beat of the song, Rose carried a bright smile as she greeted the fans who stuck their hands over the barricade for a chance to shake Rose's hand. She climbed onto the apron with ease and gave a teasing swivel of her hips before entering the ring. The arena dimmed and a bright silver light shone directly above Rose as she spun around before posing for the crowd, getting the cheers that the charismatic wrestler had earned.Soon the ring lights came back on and Rose started removing her entrance gear to reveal her usual red and black ring attire.

When Rose entered the ring, Kaylie knew it was time to put on the charm. Sure she has to fight Rose, but she doesn't want Rose to have any hard feelings when she wins. Maybe Rose would respect her for her fighting abilities. And then Rose would tell her how cute she is too. Yes, Kaylie was going to enjoy it here at LAW. It'd only be a matter of time before she makes it to the top.

"Oh. My. Gosh! Rose! Big fan of your music." Kaylie lied, "So so glad my first match is against you. You're like, a legend. After this, you gotta gotta gotta show me around a bit. I'm new here so that'd be so nice of you."

Kaylie wasn't being genuine at all. But she figured who cares if she manipulates Rose? Kaylie doesn't mind if Rose thinks that she actually wants to be her friend when she doesn't actually care so long as she gets the benefits of Rose's friendship.

Rose watched as Kaylie came up to the former idol and started talking about how she was a fan. Rose raised a brow in amusement as she knew that the blonde was lying, wouldn't be the first time someone said the exact same words from her idol days.

"Hey! Glad to meet a fan, especially from someone overseas!" Rose said while feigning equal enthusiasm, "Hope you don't hold it against me if I spoil your first match though. Girl gotta rise up the ranks and all."

Kaylie giggled cutely at Rose's comment. A girl does gotta rise up through the ranks. But there was no way it wasn't going to be Kaylie. She smirked at Rose with her hands on her hips.

"I hope you don't like, go too hard on me." Kaylie said with a wink, "I'm like, still learning and everything."

If she could lure her into a false sense of security, then Kaylie would so have this in the bag. She waited for the bell to ring, and when it did, Kaylie rushed right towards Rose. She jumps right at her, and attempts to drop kick her.

Rose watched as her apparent "Fan" winked at her before returning to the corner. Once the bell rang, Kaylie was quick to rush at her with a dropkick and admittedly Rose wasn't prepared for the blonde to be so gun ho at the starting second. The force of the dropkick was enough to send her backfirst into the corner. Feeling the back hit the turnbuckle wasn't so terrible, but as Rose was short: her head slammed against the buckle as her, stunning the idol temporarily.

She would never say it, but Kaylie was almost kind of surprised her dropkick landed. She didn't let that surprise slow her down though. While Rose was temporarily stunned, Kaylie got up and got right in front of Rose and reared back an arm. Shooting it towards Rose, Kaylie chopped Rose's chest. Not giving Rose a moment to recover, Kaylie chopped her chest again, and a third time.

The stinging chops from Kaylie definitely broke Rose out of her momentarily stun. After the third, Rose grabbed Kaylie by the collar of her leotard and swapped positions with the blonde. With Kaylie now replacing Rose as the trapped one, the idol started to repay Kaylie with vicious chops of her own.

Kaylie was feeling smug about trapping Rose in a corner. Her first match was going well! All she had to do was keep up this pace for the rest of the match, and she'd win. She'd look so tough in front of everyone. Her flow got interrupted though when Rose flipped their positions. Before Kaylie could even react, Rose started to chop back at Kaylie. The chops hit hard, and Kaylie had to wonder if hitting that hard came with experience. Even though her rhythm was interrupted, Kaylie still thought she could turn this around. She swung a forearm right towards Rose's face!

Kaylie had a lucky hit, surprising her at the start of the bell, but Rose looked to prevent the blonde from gaining any momentum after switching spots. The chops came with the obligatory Woos the fans liked to chant whenever the open palm connected across the bare chest yet Kaylie proved to carry more spunk than Rose gave her credit for as a forearm landed it's mark. Holding her nose, Rose took a few steps back while favoring her face, sneaking a glance behind her shoulder to see how Kaylie would try and follow up.
