L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

"HAW!"

Raising her hand to the sky, a fist forming, Ms. Kobayashi had already made her presence in the ring felt. Emerging quickly before the masses, that ever confident grin to her mug, Honoka once more shook her fists, left and right, as if shadow boxing before the crowd. Evidently the fact the pinkette would be today facing a primary striker was known to the beauty, as she herself seemingly opted to warm up her own striking prowess.

Figure scantily clad in her curious choice of attire, Honoka could only continue to warm herself up as she awaited the arrival of her would-be nemesis for the evening. Her thoughts briefly switching to ask the question; would this be the day she finally broke her losing streak?

Mika was nervous, to say the least. It was her first official match here. She had met a couple people backstage, both seeming kind of nice, but this was her first scheduled fight.

She saw, thankfully, it was someone in her weight class. She knew nothing about the girl. Only a name. Honoka.

She stood up from where she was sitting backstage, and looks at herself in the mirror once. Blue school-issued swimsuit. Pink gloves. Blue boots. She adjusts it in a couple places to make sure it fit right, then headed for the ring.

She emerges onto the stage, to see a girl with pink hair, and... a rather colorful two piece. Did... she miss a memo for attire? Then again.. she supposed technically she was still in a swimsuit, so, even if there was some sort of summer theme. She approaches the ring, and climbs up the ring stairs, before looking over her.

"Um.. hello... you're uh.. Honoka, right? It's a pleasure to meet you!" She said, bowing to her respectfully from her corner.

Holding her posture as dominantly as she could, Honoka almost wished Mika could read her thoughts as the little boxer joined her. Honoka couldn't afford pleasantries, she felt, not with her streak. And no matter how much she simply wanted to gleefully greet her small foe with a joyful handshake or hug.

"Haw..! Sorry...gotta beat you today!" Is all that would escape Honoka's mouth as her finger rose, pointed straight towards Mika as she continued to hold a confident a pose as she could. Her jiggly figure soon picking up a motion, Honoka would bounce on her toes after abandoning that taunting stance, raising her fists as she awaited the start of the match itself.

Mika raises her head, and saw the other girl didn't bow back to her. She had come to expect that from some fighters, but she would've thought a girl like this would've answered back in kind.

"Gotta... beat me?" She repeats, confused. Well, no time for talking then. She pounds her gloves together, and raises them up, a little disappointed she couldn't learn a bit more about her opponent. She seemed.. nice, despite her words. The confident poses she was giving her, the strong front... she could tell it was an act. But if she just wanted to fight, that's what she'd give her.

"Lets just give it our best then!" She calls, waiting for the bell to ring.

"YUSH!" Roared the bustier pinkette opposite, as she too assumed a posture resembling that of a fighter. Though mostly, it was just one mimicked straight from foes past.

With the bell having rung and the match officially underway, Honoka deemed it that she'd be the one leading today's offensive first thing off the bat, or at least trying to. Her hands raised and poised as she stepped in rather quickly, Honoka cut the distance between herself and Mika with surprising pace, before trying to throw a left up high that really didn't have a target in mind. She simply wanted to test the reactions of the girl that was evidently strike based, and perhaps just maybe, land a lucky first hit.

Mika keeps her guard tight, gloves raised, head tucked behind her gloves, but still able to see her opponent's moves.

She steps out from her corner when she hears the bell ring. She only gets a few steps out from the corner while Honoka charges full force at her. She sees that left hand balling up into a fist, and leans back slightly as it's thrown at her. She's a little confused, because.. well it didn't seem like she was aiming at anything as the punch sailed above her head. After a couple of seconds of trying to process what that was, Mika answers back with a quick jab aimed at her belly! "Ss!"

Honoka's own inexperience at boxing, her style merely copied and not perfected, quickly became apparent. Shooting that fist near enough towards the moon given how far it had missed, the stacked pinkette couldn't stop the massive exhale that came naturally moments after, when she was struck so neatly in her tummy!

"GHH..H..Ha..!" She'd mutter to herself, as if internally saying 'that was nothing,' before trying to reaffirm her stance. Her mouth still in a exhaling O shape, as she tried her luck again, this time with a rising hook up high!

Mika starts to move in, when Honoka comes in with that uppercut. Honestly, it was pretty easy to read. Uppercuts and rising punches like that had a pretty easy tell. She leans back to avoid the punch, and it whiffs past her.

"Um... are you.. okay, miss? If you don't know anything about boxing, you don't have to try and copy me. Just stick to what you know, okay?" She says to her.

Honoka can't stop herself from pulling the most scowl-filled face of the day as she recoiled from that blow, aching as Mika seemed to offer some advice she simply took as a patronise.

"You..mind your own..!" She'd snarl, though completely taking that advice as she shook her hands off, soothing her aching tummy in the process. Finding no success whatsoever in trying to batter her foe with her fists, she'd simply use the fury now running through her, to outright pace into Mika and try to clinch her!

Seemingly forgetting that had Mika so desired, she would have simply blasted her with punches on her way in!

Mika flinches a little at that scowl she got from this girl. She... really looked like she had something to prove. Mika didn't like to fight against people like this. People who were good like her. "G-gomen-" She tried to say but then Honoka rushed forward, arms out.

She whimpers a little. She sees the target, but she feels bad about pulling the trigger. Still, she pulls it, albeit half-heartedly. She can't help but turn her head away as she throws her glove forward for her belly to stop her momentum dead. A rookie mistake to turn her head away from her opponent, but, as hotheaded as this girl was turning out to be, it wasn't likely she'd be punished for it.
