Bethany Hunter vs. Hikaru Sawazaki - Rise Up!

So far, Bethany Hunter had a less-than-stellar performance in LAW, with her racking more losses than wins. While it might be expected due to her being a rookie, the fact that she got more losses than wins kind of hurt, so she was looking to change that by winning her next match. From what she had heard, her opponent for tonight would be someone who had racked a lot of losses too, so she thought this could be a turning point in her career as a professional wrestler, where she could build up her prestige in this promotion, becoming a more well-regarded wrestler in the roster.

Already donning her blue leotard, Bethany was psyching herself up at the gorilla position. This time, she was determined to leave the ring as a victor, and she would make it a reality by defeating this girl. She got nothing against her, but due to her own ambition to become one of the best wrestlers LAW had to offer, she would make sure that she would give her all tonight, and nothing would stop her from doing just that.

Soon, as her music was played, Bethany went to the ramp and received a moderate cheer from the easily-excitable crowd upon seeing the energetic strawberry-blonde cutie who jogged down the ramp, heading over to the ring. Once she arrived there, she would climb up the apron before slipping under the ropes, entering the ring. She would raise her arms in order to rouse the crowd. While not many were invested in her, she still received quite a pop from them.

Determined to change the opinions of those who did not believe her, Bethany would continue psyching herself up, doing some light stretches before heading over to her corner so that she could wait for her opponent. She would lean against the turnbuckle, draping her arms over the top ropes as her eyes would focus at the entrance to see her opponent making her appearance.

Hikaru was in her wrestling gear pacing about. She was eager to prove herself yet had fallen short inside the LAW ring time and time again. She was defeated each time she set foot in a ring but the spunky young woman who was part wrestler part college student was not going to give up! Sure she was 0-6 but she would have to win at some point! She was sure of it!

As her music began to play Hikaru came storming out, pumping her fists in the air as she made her way down the ramp. She climbed into the ring and smiled holding her hands out as the crowd politely applauded the energetic underdog. She stretched a bit before making her way towards the center of the ring, all smiles as she looked over at Bethany, extending her hand. "May the best lady win! Let's have a good match!" Hikaru said cheerfully as she watched Bethany to see how she would react.

Bethany watched as Hikaru made her way down the ramp, heading over to the ring. At the very least she was plucky enough despite her poor win-loss record. Still, Bethany planned to win this, so she decided that Hikaru would have to deal with another loss tonight. Soon, Hikaru entered the ring, and she approached Bethany, offering her a handshake.

"Yep, let's do our best," Bethany said, shaking her hand with Hikaru before she prepared herself for the match. Soon, the referee called for the two of them to the center of the ring before the bell was sounded, starting the match between the two. To start off the match, Bethany would take a stance as she would hold out her hands, preparing herself to lock up with Hikaru in a standard collar-and-elbow tie up.

Hikaru smiled to Bethany and as the bell rang she saw that Bethany was looking to lock up to kick things off. Hikaru took a breath and stepped in, jockeying for position against Bethany! Hikaru tried to grab onto one of Bethany's arms to twist and maneuver behind her, attempting to start off by putting her in a hammerlock to begin the match! It wasn't anything overly painful of flashy but it did kick things off with Hikaru controlling Bethany which is something she wanted to do. Her last match against Jessica Wright went downhill from the start so Hikaru was intent on establishing herself early on!

Locking up with Hikaru, Bethany found out that her opponent was quick to act as she went behind her, twisting her arm and putting her in a hammerlock. "Uuuhhh!!!" Grimacing in pain, she gave her affected arm a slap before attempting to mitigate the pain by twisting back, looking to escape the hammerlock. She would then try to reverse it back, hoping that she would be able to trap Hikaru in a hammerlock of her own instead.

Hikaru had managed to keep Bethany in place with the hammerlock, but her opponent quickly turned the tables! "Ack!" Hikaru yelped out, her arm stinging as she was now the one stuck! Reaching back behind her Hikaru tried to grab hold of Bethany any way she could even if it included the hair. From there Hikaru would try to pull forward while kneeling in order to snapmare Bethany in front of her in order to get out of the hammerlock!

Trapping Hikaru in the hammerlock, Bethany would try to apply pressure in the hold, but then, Hikaru reached back to her, and before she knew it, she ended up being flipped in front of her opponent as Hikaru threw her over with a snapmare. "Aughh!!" Grimacing in pain as she landed on her back, Bethany was reeling, momentarily vulnerable before her opponent.

It worked! Hikaru smiled as she took Bethany down to the mat in front of her, reaching around to wrap her hands around Bethany's chin as she wedged her shin against Bethany's back, kneeling down to put her in a chin lock! Hikaru pulled back as hard as she could, doing her best to try to apply as much pressure to the simple hold she just locked Bethany in! "Nggghhhhh! Tap out!" Hikaru urged, trying her best to wrench back on Bethany's neck with he hold.

Still reeling from the snapmare, Bethany would try to get her mind back in order, but Hikaru took advantage of this by locking her in a chin lock while pressing her shin against her back. "Muaghh!!" Bethany cried out in pain as Hikaru pressed her advantage against her, and she closed her eyes tightly as she would fight through the pain. She knew that she needed to soldier through the pain in order to endure it, and she thought that Hikaru might not be able to keep the hold for long.

Hikaru kept up the pressure, leaning back and keeping her grip as tight as she could! However, as Hikaru leaned back she pulled so hard that she lost her grip, rolling backward in surprise! "Ahh damn!"

Hikaru tried to scramble to her feet as quickly as she could, doing her best to rise up and crouch, waiting for Bethany to get up. Hikaru was going to target her with a dropkick if she could, hoping to send Bethany to the canvass again!
