L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

Watching from backstage, Marzia couldn't help but be nervous as she looked up at the clock, realizing that the promised hour was due to arrive at any minute now. She was going to be wrestling in the main event of the show - but this time, she wasn't alone. She was competing in a six-woman tag match, with three other girls from LAW, and likewise, she would be going up against a team of XCW veterans. Rather than using established teams, this match had elected to draw its talent from each promotion's stable. Having others at her side might have helped steady her confidence...but, at the same time, this was new to her. Marzia had made her time in singles matches well enough, but she had never broken into the team scene very well - apart from a short-lived attempt to team with another XCW alum, one Breanna Laney, whose relationship with Marzia had gone sour when she made an unexpected heel turn at an XCW show. Marzia didn't have any experience going up in a match like this, and she didn't quite know what to expect.

Suddenly, she felt a hand rest on her shoulder, causing her to gasp as she went tense. The initial shock resolved, however, once Marzia looked behind her to see that it was only Astrid, the taller woman having come up from behind her while she stood gazing into space. Astrid chuckled a little at the look on her face, only to shrug and nod reassuringly. "Don't worry," she said. "It's okay to be nervous, going into a big match like this. But I'm sure you'll do great. If it makes you feel better, I can go in first."

Backing her up, Michiko came up to her side with a nod and a grin. "And if anyone thinks she can push you around and take advantage of your nerves...well, I'll give her a taste of her own medicine!" With a grin on her face, the lilac-haired woman struck a pose, pointing her fist out in front of her to mimic a strike.

"And coming first to the ring...at a combined weight of 217 kilograms...the team of MARZIA SERVELLI, ASTRID OSTBERG, AND MICHIKO SHIMIZU!"

Hearing their cue, the three women made their way down the entrance ramp - Astrid standing in front with her hands on her hips as she adopted a confident gaze forward, while Michiko and Marzia stood to either side, the former waving to the crowd while the latter hung back nervously, sucking in a breath to try and calm herself and hoping that her breaths didn't come too fast. The three came to the ring, and Astrid slipped under the bottom rope to take her place. There they stood waiting for when their opponents would arrive on the scene.

“Hardcore Country” hits as Breanna comes out in her usual attire and threw fingers to the crowd with a smile. She may be a heel, but she was always happy to preform as a face in front of LAW, but she made sure to stare down her former friend, Marzia. The two hadn’t gotten along ever since their last match in LAW and their attempt to try to tag Team, but Breanna turning heel changed that. “Roar” by Katy Perry came on next as Kennedy swung down from the vine. She growled at the crowd as they booed her and she licked her lips knowing Astrid was back on the scene.

“AYE! FONSI! DY! OH OH! WOO NOO! WOO NOO!”

The crowd begin cheering as Jovannah came out dancing smoothly to Despachito as she memorized the crowd with her moves. Breanna and Kennedy followed her as the beat to the song resonated with the audience.

“Their opponents, representing XCW, Breanna Laney, Kennedy Lee and Jovannah La Vega!”

Jovannah came ringside and swung her hips side to side as she got in the ring apron shaking her hips. Kennedy and Breanna slide in staring down their opponents while Jovannah came through the ropes standing with her partners.

Having gone over this beforehand, Marzia thought she was prepared. She thought she had readied herself for what she was about to deal with - but she wasn't prepared for this. As soon as the music came over the arena speakers, the Italian girl's eyes widened into a glassy stare. "N-No...I know that music..."

Sure enough, it was Breanna. She might have still been playing to her old persona - but Marzia had been there at the XCW show that changed everything, and she hadn't forgiven her. She knew what was really up. But now they faced each other, for the first time since their falling out - and suddenly, all the confidence she had built up seemed to melt away. Dealing with a rival was one thing - but how was she supposed to face someone who used to be a friend? With a gulp, all Marzia could think of was how glad she was that Astrid was in there covering for her.

The Norwegian woman, meanwhile, looked over at Kennedy with a smile, cracking her knuckles. Even if the jungle queen wasn't going to be the first legal woman in the ring, Astrid still remembered their challenge fondly, and she saw Kennedy as someone she could feel comfortable calling a friend. She could only hope they found time to meet in the ring - but right now, her attention was focused on Jovannah, as she looked over the new girl with a curious eye. She wasn't someone any of the three were familiar with, and she didn't know what she could expect from her. Nevertheless, she was happy to find out, as she started to close in, raising her hands for a lockup.

"It's about time I got a taste for what XCW can do," she said with a nod. "I hope you won't disappoint, yeah?"

Jovannah seemed to be the starting woman for her team as she smirked down at Astrid. She remembered her falling out with Camryn and wanted to see what Astrid was made of. The bell rang as Jovannah accepted the test of strength locking up with Astrid. She steadied herself and tried pushing back.

Just like that, the match was on, and Astrid was determined not to disappoint. Narrowing her eyes, she took hold on Jovannah's hands and began to circle with her, giving a few pushes against her to see how well her strength would compare to her own. Jovannah met her with resistance - but Astrid wasn't holding back. She pushed in closer and harder, meeting Jovannah's attempt to guard with a firmer pressure.

Jovannah was pushed back foot by foot as she was paled in comparison to Astrid’s strength. She couldn’t match her strength-wise so she tries to knee Astrid in the stomach. She would then hit the ropes and try for a Dropkick to the blonde’s head of it succeeded.

Astrid started to make waves against her opponent, and slowly but surely Jovannah began to be beaten back, unable to hold up against the Norwegian's might. "Hmph, that all you got?" Astrid taunted, raising an eyebrow to her opponent. If it was really the best Jovannah could handle, Astrid had to wonder what the other team was thinking, not sending Kennedy out first. At least with her, Astrid knew that she'd be facing an opponent of comparable strength.

But that question would be answered, as Jovannah offset Astrid's stone wall-like defenses with a sharp knee to the gut that caused her to double over. Stunned, Astrid left Jovannah with a window of opportunity to build momentum behind her strides, bouncing off the ropes to ready her next move - a dropkick straight for her head! Taking the blow, Astrid stumbled backwards before falling against the ropes, bracing herself by laying one arm against the bottom rope as she landed on one knee.

Jovannah would grab Astrid by the hair and Irish whip her into the opposing ropes. Jovannah would run herself and try to hit a Flying Crossbody trying to take down the strong girl. She would then mockingly dance around Astrid and then memorized the crowd which gave her some boos for heelish behavior, but mostly cheers for her performance. She took a bow.

Before Astrid could fight her way back to her feet, Jovannah grabbed a hold of her hair and whipped her across the ring, sending her flying into the ropes. There she would rebound towards her opponent, only to be nailed by a flying crossbody that flipped her onto her back, landing with a thud that shook the ring. There she lay speechless, while Jovannah ran circles around her, mocking her. As if it wasn't bad enough that she landed, Jovannah had to make a scene of it!

She made one mistake, though - this early into the match, Astrid wasn't going to stay down for long. And taking the time to celebrate her victory, Jovannah was handing Astrid the opportunity she needed. While her attention was elsewhere, the blonde rose to her feet, suddenly sticking out a hand as Jovannah passed by.

"I think not."

Not a moment later, Astrid pulled Jovannah in to haul her up for a bear hug!

Jovannah screamed in agony as she was hoisted into a bearhug. Jovannah gritted her teeth as she struggled in the bearhug, but got a hand free. She reached out to Kennedy, but Breanna held back as she glared down Marzia knowing she only wanted that Italian in the match. She did a cut throat getsure to her while Kennedy got tagged in. Kennedy licked her lips and went under Astrid hitting a low blow without the ref seeing since Jovannah’s legs blocked the view. Kennedy also rubbed Astrid’s crotch to pleasure herself and she giggled.
