Mindy had to focus on stuff after her PPV match, to keep herself going after the disasters that followed. It didn't make any sense for her to be suffering any setbacks but ever since Apex it was hard to deny that most things were not going the way Mindy had hoped. But she was good at hiding it and she was even better at moving past old mistakes, when you lived in the spotlight dwelling too much on failures ended with you getting eaten alive, a fate Mindy had no desire to end up in, not when she could take out her anger on anyone else, like the opponent she had today.

Mindy's music played as she casually walked out, as calm as anyone could expect her to be. She came down to the ring without noticing the fans at all and folded her glasses up to place by the steps so she could enter without them. The former actress turned wrestler quickly bounced to her corner and climbed up the turnbuckle to show off for the crowd, acknowledging them for the first time before quickly dismissing them to sit in her corner and wait to see who Clarisse Bennett really was.

(Clarisse is in a penetentiary, her first day of a really long term, and she is right now trapped in the corner of the prison yard, surrounded by a couple of big burly inmates)
"Do you see what I am seeing Mark? It seems that we have got some fresh meat here..." Both men snickered at the cowering, trembling snow-haired woman, scared out of her wits."We are gonna have a looot of fun with you, you know? You will be a completely new woman by the time you get out...If you get out, that is..Hehehe..." Both inmates eyed her like predators and started to get closer towards her, as she shriveled up against the corner..

Ms. Bennett?

They get closer, arms extended....

Ms. Bennnett ?

Their faces are stricken with mailcious intent, inching nearer and nearer to a now teary-eyed young woman...

Ms. Benett !

Clarisse's eyelids snapped open! A sweat ran down the side of her head, heart beating rapidly. She took a moment to catch her breath and look around. "Your match is about to start now, your opponent is in the middle of her entrance. So, better get warmed up" The snow-haired woman, seated on a couch inside one of the fan tunnels, which was chosen for her to enter the arena, looked up to see a crew member, who had snapped her out of a rather bad dream.

"Thank you for that. I will go and get prepped up" Clarisse got up and offered her a nod before getting to the mouth of the tunnel, seeing her opponent just conclude her entrance. Mindy Midnight. An actress-turned-wrestler, defying the convertional path, which was the reverse of this. Clarisse had gotten a few glimpses of her on TV and she was pretty good at her craft and now she was going to fight her in a right, that too with a gruelling stipulation, which almost makes it as if they both would fight each other thrice tonight for that winner.

Soon, it would be her turn and as expected, all the lights were dimmed, even the ring spotlights, and the sound was cut off, which was Clarisse's cue to make her entry. Having practiced walking this route, numerous times since her advent to LAW, considerind her being averse to large crowds, this path was now imprinted in her muscle memory and she walked down without missing a step or colliding with someone, in a practiced ease.

Leaping over the barricade, Clarisse landed on the other side with a dull thud, and considering the crowd was still blind, no one had or would have a clue about her presence until she got into the ring. A sea commotion, perplexed shouts and whispers all fell into Clarisse's ears, sensing that the audience might be perplexed by the sudden absence of lights and sounds.

Finally, the arena would get illuminated as usual, only this time, the peopel would see another person in the ring apart from Mindy Midnight — Clarisse Bennett, her opponent tonight. With nothing giving away from her face or languid posture, Clarisse would adjust her gloves and roll her shoulders, her eyes gazing at the empty expanse of the mat, after having given a once-over of the actress....

Instead of an opponent coming out the lights dimmed, making it hard to see who was coming out and what was coming next. Mindy squinted to try and see who was out there and what they were doing next, waiting to see what was coming for her and only able to make out a figure in the distance once they started to enter the ring. It was only when they actually got in that the lights came back revealing to everyone her opponent Clarisse Bennett. The crowd seemed to love it, but Mindy felt annoyed by the way they came in.

"Do you really think you own the night better than I that you thought you could sneak up on me in it? Some nobody won't surprise me." Mindy said getting in her face and going for a slap to put her in her place. After that she would turn around in a huff taking the glasses off of her and folding them so she could put them away before this battle.

As the uproar of the crowd died down, the focus shifted sharply into the ring, to see an arduous and gruelling battle about to unfold. Mindy however, wasn't too impressed with how Clarisse made her entrance it appeared, choosing to get real close to her and throwing barbs about how some nobody could ever have her number. Nobody. that's a word that had been synonymous with Clarisse ever since her release from the penetentiary.

Every crew she joined, every gang she was a part of , the word Nobody stuck around, a word that sent fear and dead down the spines of lowlifes and thugs down in the dark corners and alleyways of and around London and Mindy uttering that word put her in a kind of a trance, with memories of that past flooding back into her mind which left her open to a meaty slap across her cheek!

"Ffhh.." An inadvertent wince escaped her mouth, more from the sudden action and the immediate sensation than anything. Her face whiplashed to the side, the cheek still stinging like small needles were pricking over the area but she calmly turned to face the actress again, who was off to her corner, seemingly to discard her visual accessories.

But Clarisse wasn't too keen on taking her by surprise, and roll on with a dominant start. Maybe Mindy was expecting it....maybe not, but Clarisse was going to give the actress another go at the former inmate. This time however, Clarisse crouched a tad, arms up in a fighting stance and eyes trained on Mindy, observing, calculating. The noises of the crowd drowned out, with the only relevant aspect currently standing in front her her.

Her expression remained unreadable, eyebrows subtly furrowed, proof of the snow-haired woman now good to go. And to give Mindy extra motivation to take a shot, all Clarisse was about to do was....nod, acknowledging the actress to come at her once again.

Mindy's slap was the only thing that seemed to get a reaction out of the woman, who tried to remain stoic in front of her like she was some kind of badass. Mindy din't care about her attitude and was ready to turn around and get in her corner when she noticed that instead of reeling away after that slap she turned to face her again as calm as she had before and almost...daring her to swing again. Some found it unnerving but Mindy was at the moment was annoyed and didn't think.

Without wasting a second she wound back and went for another slap to the girls face to show her not to stare at her, trying to make it hurt as much as possible so that Clarisse couldn't just turn around and stare at her again. She wanted to leave a mark hard enough that it would last throughout the match to make sure Clarisse learned her lesson.

"Hkkk..." Mindy utilized the free shot well, going for another slap and managed to successfully clock Clarisse's face again. The actress's slap stung, that much the brawler could attest to now, the palm leaving behind a stinging streak of red that Clarisse could feel upto her skull. A hand ran over her cheek for a moment, rubbing again it and feel the sudden spike of heat emanating out of it, which ebbed away soon after.

Clarisse would slowly turn her face to look Mindy in the eyes again, showing little emotion despite being slapped two times, with each contact meatier than the last. It was time to return fire now. Clarisse wasn't one to bitch slap or talk trash. She was a woman of action and to drive that point home, the brawler was going to stomp on Mindy's foot hard and take a small leap using the leverage, to drive a Right- Cross to the side of the Actress's face!
