L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

With Lya taking a very short break after her debut (for several reasons, not least of which was helping Clara GASTER train for her Lightweight Tourney qualifier match), she was back, and ready to take LAW by storm!

And the management didn't disappoint her with her first opponent this spring, with her facing Sally Angela tonight. Not that Lya knew anything about her, but one wouldn't call themselves "The Icon" for no reason, would they?

As she put on her new red leather jacket to add to her entrance, as well as red tinted goggles instead of her ears she used earlier in her career, the Red Dragon was primed and ready to go!

And, as one of the more popular songs from Persona 5 soundtrack came over the PA, the former Luchadora came in like storm, practically leaping onto the entrance ramp from the Gorilla Position, bursting with energy to spend. So much so, in fact, that she rushed down the ramp, clasping her hands with the LAW fans in the front row, and even doing a very fast run around the ring, making sure she got everyone who sat in the first row tonight!

Once she did so, she would jump onto the ring apron...and then onto the top rope, springboarding off of it and flipping backwards, successfully coming down onto her feet in a crouch, rolling forward, and leaping back up to her feet, shouting at the top of her lungs: "LET'S DO IT!", to the cheers from the crowd!

Despite her energy expending entrance, the redhead did not feel any more tired than she did less than 30 seconds ago. She would hop towards the corner pointed out to her by the official and take off her goggles (which, miraculously, manage to stay on top of her head throughout all her flips) and leave them in a pocket of her jacket, before taking off the jacket itself and leaving it outside the ring, leaving her in a pearly-white bikini top and her red-white wrestling pants.

She would hop in her corner like a spring, awaiting Angela's entrance to the ring...

Sally was dressed for victory. The very essence of the Icon's unique stylised street clothes was as perfectly well adjusted to make her as visually striking as she was undeniably talented. Her sun dyed blonde hair was fashioned in such a way that strands clumped together, yet she maintained a wild looking head of locks that stuck upwards, downwards, curled round and fell flat just the way she wanted it to. The bright hair somewhat covering her blue sporty headband which both looked nice and stopped sweat from gathering on her forehead and polluting her hair. Then there was the comfortable white top which functioned fairly well as a bra, which was good, considering that's how Sally used it. The Icon's battle attire being complete with tiny blue wristbands and blue jeans, which were cut in several places, most noticeably on the right leg where the bottoms resembled shorts more than pants.

The Icon was ready to go and meet her daily rival, and was excited as she watched her enterence on the backstage screen, the red dragon would surely make an interesting foe and Sally bravely welcomed the challenge that had been issued by the woman's theatrics, after all no one would put on such a show before the match if they weren't confident they could put on an even better one immediately proceeding.

Before Sally's excitement had died down and after her opponent's music faded the blonde's own theme would play. " Better, faster, stronger " By Daft Punk bounced between the walls and shook the hollow space between slightly, as the confident blonde strides out into plain view, wearing a huge smile and looking down directly towards the ring. The Icon bounced ever so slightly to the beat of the music, from one side to the other as she threw jabs at imaginary gloves, maintaining a decent speed with her shadow boxing as she took some steps forward, slowly drifting down the ramp.

Then Sally rolled on the ball of her foot to turn around and throw two jabs towards where she had came from, before suddenly whipping back around and breaking out of her shadow boxing routine to burst forward towards the ring and hold both her arms up high, getting a mix of jeers and cheers, the crowd as a unit seeming conflicted on their opinions towards the odd blonde.

The Icon fairly quickly made her way down to the ring in a moderate jog, before sliding into the ring under the bottom ropes and quickly pushing off the canvas to transition back onto her feet. Sally staring directly at Lyanna, studying the woman's physique and style.

" Nice to meet you, I'm Sally! Let's keep them on their toes! " The blonde enthusiastically spurted out, with surprising clarity considering the speed her mouth gabbed at. The blonde then retreating slowly to her corner and stretching her arms as she waited for the bell to ring.

As Lya kept very close look on her entering opponent, several things went through her mind:

1) She was incredibly cute

2) She had a very unique, yet still pretty style

3) Sally was just as filled to the brim with energy as she was.

As Lya hopped at the spot on her corner, while Sally did shadow boxing on the entrance ramp, she knew that, win or lose, she would have fun wrestling her tonight's opponent. The reaction to the American Blonde however was more than mixed, letting the redhead know to keep on her toe's for the match.

Once the girl cheerfully entered the ring and introduced herself, Lya would kindly, and just as energetically respond: "Lya! And I would worry about keeping yourself on your toes, else I would take you off 'em, "Icon"!", while wearing a confident smile on her face.

Once ref would check both girls for their preparation, she would signal for the bell...

DING DING DING!

...and the bout was on!

Wasting little time, Lya would quickly step towards the middle of the ring, with outstretched right hand, challenging Sally to a test of strength!

Sally would offer a playful chuckle in response to Lya's words, before snapping back almost immediately after her to be opponent was done talking. " Oh, I don't have anything to worry about. I don't lose, ever. " the blonde responded confidently as she mirrored Lyanna's confident smile with her own expression.

With both fighters too confident in their victory to bother with much more trash talking the duo would head to their own corners, Sally quickly stretching her arms and shoulders as the ref searched her opponent and asked her if she was ready, and then the blonde would stay static as the ref searched her too, moving only when instructed as she kept a stare maintained on her foe. Finally Sally would tell the ref she was ready, which would prompt the bell to ring and the official to quickly get out of the road, leaving no obstacles between the redhead and blonde.

As Lya offered a test of strength Sally found little issue in accepting, after all it would be a fun little exchange where she could show off her abilities. The blonde awfully quickly followed her opponent to the middle of the ring and linked her arm with her opponent's own as she took grasp of it, before placing her other arm on the woman's shoulder and not putting pressure into her grip until Lyanna did the same.

The Icon would tighten her grip over her opponent as she tried to push forward, though the blonde was only moderately strong, and so she had already put some thought to what she would do next if she got overwhelmed power wise, while if she somehow wasn't then she would just wing it. Seeing as she was slightly taller, Sally would at least try to abuse that fact ever so slightly as she tried to push her frame forward against her foe's own, not with the intention of squishing their bodies together but moreso just trying to make it difficult for her opponent to see over her shoulders as she tried to adjust the lock up into something slightly resembling a sumo grapple. Then of course Sally pushed, trying to lead her opponent towards the ropes, though her intentions were moreso studying her opponent and applying some pressure rather than overpowering her towards the ropes, that simply wasn't Sally's style, and she had convinced herself that there were other reasons for that stylistic dislike other than her lack of true strength.

"Sadly, wouldn't bet on you, sweetheart", Lya would wink at Sally as the bell would ring.

With redhead's challenge being accepted, the confident blonde would meet her opponent in the middle of the ring, taking a hold of her arm and shoulder, with Lya doing the same, as both women would push against one another's frames!

And Lya discovered that her opponent was slightly more bulky than she was! Using her small size advantage, the Icon attempted to overwhelm Red Dragon, and carry her all the way towards the ropes!

Trying to stir herself away from the ropes wasn't working, Sally completely blocking all her attempts to turn the two of them to switch positions!

Overwhelming Sally with her decent strength failed, as the woman managed to get into a superior position right off the bat, Lya now had to switch strategies...

Attempting to pull away from the lock up, the redhead would let go off Sally's hand attempt to shove the blonde's other arm away from her shoulder, before attempting to twist it near the ropes, trapping her opponent with a wristlock!

Sally wasn't exactly the strongest, but she was clever enough to figure out how to fully take advantage of her slight height and weight advantage. The blonde stretching her opponent out and trying to put her in a tight bind where it would be difficult for her opponent to put in her whole strength.

Ultimately Sally still struggled until she finally pushed Lya back first to the ropes, having put all her focus on winning the test of strength. While the Icon was still held up maintaining her advantageous position though Lya would change up the game, releasing her grip on the blondes hand and instead grasping Sally's other arm and succedimg in removing the blonde's hand from her shoulder, then back off out of the lock up to the side of Sally.

Lya twisting Sally's arm as she moved, earning a feminine grumble from the Icon as she experienced one hell of a Chinese burn, the Icon noting that her opponent had a strong grip. []" Guess I...a little too focused. " Sally would remark, pausing mid sentence as her arm was wrenched in a particularly painful way.

The blonde would look to make up for her mistake as quickly as she could though, and she had the tool set she needed right next to her. Sally would attempt to position her free arm over the nearby ropes and grasp the middle rope as support, before then putting one foot on the middle rope and using it to springboard herself into a aided backflip as she used her grip on the ropes to help her pull of something she wouldn't be able to with just her own athleticism.

Sally's landing wasn't perfect, but it wasn't so sloppy to leave herself vulnerable either, and above all else if she wasn't interrupted then it would be a good way to untwist her grasped arm. Which was lucky since the blonde didn't have the strength or striking skill to force her opponent to release her arm.

The Icon would then attempt to purposefully fall to her side as she grasped the arm holding her own with her other hand. Sally gripping the arm that was gripping her, and pulling it down with her as she fell, which combined with the fact Lya was grabbing her arm would very likely provide enough momentum for Sally to throw her opponent to the canvas in an arm drag.

"You did...so what now?", Lya would answer to Sally's comment that she was too focused on winning. As the duo stood next to the ropes, Lya would get her answer as Sally would grasp the rope and use it and the middle rope for a quick, though not quite perfect backflip, to relieve the hold of it's pressure!

"Ooooh! Not ba------WOOOOAH!", Lya would scream as Sally suddenly dropped on her side, and, with the momentum of her fall, attempted to toss the Red Dragon to her side, throwing her onto her hip with a Hip Toss!

Lya would let her rival's arm go, focusing more on getting to her feet before The Icon got the upper hand!
