Match Rules: No DQ, Verbal Submission only.
"You can do this! You can do this! You can do this!"
The tiny voice echoed throughout the otherwise empty locker room. It belonged to a girl, staring into the full-length mirror on the wall. Coral Nyarai, as she was normally known, growled silently to herself in frustration.
"Come on, you have to be louder than that!" she pouted at the mirror.
The was not the same girl that Coral was used to seeing. It was, however, the girl she'd always imagined. Delphine Abyssia, looking positively royal with her gold crown and pearl necklace. Her bikini was one of the most scantily clad she'd ever seen in her life, and until recently, never dared to try on. But damn if she didn't make it look good! Watching her reflection spin around and flex back at her gave her shivers down her spine, so excited as she was to finally explore her true nature!
Dying her black hair took a long time, especially due to the shade of pastel pink she liked, and she wondered if perhaps she might be better served wearing a wig next time. But no... wigs could be torn off in the heat of the moment. Delphine couldn't afford to let her other side show itself during a match, not even for a minute. More importantly... it wouldn't really be her.
Delphine's hands balled into fists, and she held them close to her chest. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and then...
"YOU CAN DO THIS!"
Immediately, she spun around with a hand over her mouth, eyes wide, towards the closed door. What if someone had heard-
No, no. That was Coral talking. Coral was the one afraid to draw attention to herself. Not Delphine. Delphine wanted people to see her!
Even so, a few pre-debut jitters were normal for even the most confident of athletes... right?

Delphine had barely managed to chose an before her debut. She wasn't sure she'd be allowed one, being officially in the Young Lioness trainee program, and had scrambled to find something suitable when she found out it was allowed. Hearing it blasting over the speakers sent a wave of excitement through her as she bounced on her heels, waiting for juuuust the right moment to run out.
Another deeeeeeeeep breath. She held it until the moment the lyrics began, after which she released it and pranced out eagerly. She paused right before the ramp to wave and pose for the cheering crowd, then spun in a quick twirl to observe the looping image of bubbles on the giant screens behind her. A simple entrance, but for now it would do. She had plenty of time to work on it.
Her heart skipped a beat when she spun around again and saw the ring, right there ahead of her. This was it, it was actually happening! In her excitement, she nearly took off at a run right for it, but her sandals weren't really made for jogging. She settled for a brisk walk, moving far too slowly for her brain to be satisfied - wanted to be in there now - but she had to pace herself. Her opponent wasn't even there yet, anyway! Delphine had come out first - a rookie lap, of sorts.
She had no idea who she was facing tonight, either. This was her first match, and while she had a name, what she lacked was a general knowledge of who was who. But it didn't really matter to her, anyway. She could have been given the heavyweight champion, and she'd still be determined to enjoy her first match in front of live, cheering fans! And so far, despite the nerves, she was having the time of her life, and it was only going to get better from here!
