[Standard Match] Hidesato Itone vs Izumi Tachibana (D) - The dance of wind and ice

Unread post by skip-stop »

Match type: standard
Victory conditions: pinfall, submisson, knockout, disqualification

"Can I ask you something?" Victoria's voice sounded, breaking the deathly silence in the locker room.

"You already did," Itone said, finishing her warm-up. "But, yes, you can."

"You're only twenty-two years old, you haven't even graduated from university," the manager adjusted her glasses, knowing that this question would not please her ward. "Isn't it too risky for your parents to trust you to run the company?"

When Itone turned her head and her blue eyes fixed on the brunette, Victoria felt as if she had been doused with a bucket of ice water. The strangest thing was that there was no anger or irritation in Itone's gaze. However, the white-haired woman seemed to be looking through Victoria and because of this, the manager felt uncomfortable.

"My sister and I are not like most," it seemed that with every word of Itone, the air temperature dropped. "Of course our parents wouldn't let us run the company if there was even the slightest chance that we would... hmmm... screw up." Itone finished her warm-up and got to her feet, walking to the locker. "However, they started preparing us for this literally right after we learned to speak." The Japanese woman took her kitsune mask and the kendo stick. "Every member of the Hidesato family is responsible for the honor of the family, someone more, someone less, my sister and I have the honor to become the first and second heiress of the Hidesato family, and we will do everything that is required to ensure that our family remains great, whether it's running a company or winning on the ring." Itone took a deep breath and for a moment it seemed to Victoria that the white-haired woman was not completely sincere with her. "Did I answer your question, Victoria-san?"

"Yes, more than..." The manager tilted her head slightly, as if trying to figure out what Itone had hidden from her.

"Then it's time for me to go."

The Japanese woman bowed to her manager and left the locker room. Heading down the long corridor, Itone caught herself thinking that she felt a little uncomfortable because her sister was not there. She certainly wasn't a little girl and didn't need her older sister to hold her hand. However, when Yaone wasn't around, she always felt as if someone had cut off a large piece of her. Still, she should have gotten used to it, because despite the fact that they intended to work as a team in the first place, Itone clearly understood that there would be no less solo matches in her career.

Entering the waiting room, the white-haired woman stopped in front of the curtains. Even being completely calm, she felt some excitement before the match. The responsibility on her shoulders was too heavy, because this match will definitely be seen by her whole family. So today she has to defend Hidesato's honor alone. The Japanese woman put on her kitsune mask. It's time to prove that even without her sister, she is able to bring honor to her family.

Her music began and at the same time snow began to fall at the top of the ramp. Gusts of wind appeared, turning the snowflakes into a real blizzard for a moment. It was at this moment that Itone came out from behind the curtains. Taking hold of her kendo stick with both hands, she forcefully lowered the sharp end to the floor, causing a loud bang to resound through the arena.

Being greeted with applause, the White Swan reached for her mask and shifted it to the side, revealing her face to the audience. Itone literally exuded cold and a confident smile on her face only enhanced this effect. The white-haired woman began to descend the ramp, approaching the ring. Despite the fact that her face practically did not express emotions, she actually liked the fact that thousands of eyes were riveted on her at that moment.

Climbing up the metal steps, the White Swan slipped between the middle and top rope, and then with a confident step headed to the center of the ring. She pulled her belt and then, stopping, unbuttoned the clasp just below her neck. At the same moment, her dress, belt and metal plates slid down, allowing the audience to see her one-piece wrestling swimsuit.

Accepting the last cheers, Itone placed the kendo stick on her shoulder, then clenched her left fist and pressed it to her chest. There was nothing but confidence in her eyes and she wanted everyone to see it the moment her music came to an end.

The Japanese woman bowed to the referee and then handed her a mask and the kendo stick so that the striped shirt could take care of this and her entrance attire. With a barely noticeable smile on her face, Itone headed to her corner, where she intended to warm up the muscles slightly again by stretching her arms. Now, she was back in the ring, the desire, which literally eclipsed her mind in the first match, returned to her. She longed to win.

Backstage was always hectic in LAW. Afterall with so many talent of varying personality and persuasions, masses of people to worry about keeping happy, not to mention all the technology and work needed to keep the show going it was hard for things to be anything but chaotic and hectic. Really the only thing that made it worse was when there was something different than normal going on. Special matches or impromptu matches, unique segments and long promos, the occasional live performance... Major debuts.

This was the case tonight with one such debut. A particularly big acquisition as far as upper management was concerned. Not only cause of her prestige and reputation, both of which would have warranted hype on its own. But adding even more onto the situation was the fact that like some other talent in LAW, she was family to someone within the company, not just anyone though, but to one of the most recent and well known champions from the company, Rei Tachibana. Naturally this added a bit of extra chaos than normal.

Away from all that however was the woman of the hour, creating a bubble of zen and tranquility amidst the havoc around her, sitting on a table in plain view rather than the private room offered to her, legs crossed, mediating peacefully in preparation for her match. Now admittedly she had no clue about her opponent, nor did she want any, the mystery of it all was exciting to her after all. Though that being said she did know that like herself this woman was making a debut as well which meant the fight would only be even more intense.

Eyes suddenly snapping open the blue haired woman would look up at a backstage worker just as they approached. "My turn?" She asked pleasantly to a thoroughly confused stage hand before he nodded making her smile a bit wider as she nodded bac. "Excellent." She said chipperly before hopping off the table, grabbing a blue and silver robe and throwing it over herself she would then start to make her way towards the entrance position, stepping out just as her entrance music started.
Spoiler
Coming out and doing a quick spin to flourish her cloak she would stop, facing out towards the crowd and flashing a smile the applause she was already getting would multiply as soon as her name was announced and her relationship to Rei was made public. Strutting down the ramp in a regal pace while smiling at the crowd Izumi would hop up on the outside ring apron, turning out towards the fans before grabbing her cloak and tossing it over her shoulder and out towards the audience, displaying the full breadth of her beauty and blue attire she wore.
Spoiler
Image
Smiling out at the crowd a bit wider and giving them a wink before slipping between the ropes and into the ring fully before facing her opponent and giving her a small smile before approaching and then bowing respectfully towards her. "Hello, despite us being meant to fight I'm quite looking forward to this." She said respectfully to her opponent before backing up a few paces, regardless of how Itone responded, instead focused purely on preparing for the match at hand, ready to make an impression.

When her rival's music started, Itone turned her head towards the ramp. As expected, the audience greeted the blue-haired woman warmly and loudly, perhaps even louder than in the case of the white-haired woman. Even though it was Izumi's debut match, her surname definitely provided her with some bonuses. Tachibana surname certainly had significance in the world of pro wrestling and the audience expected a lot from her.

When Izumi finished her introduction, getting rid of her cloak and slipping between the ropes, the White Swan got a closer look at her rival. Izumi was about an inch taller than her, but Itone outweighed her opponent to some extend. However, this information seemed pale against the background of everything else, namely the appearance of this blue-haired woman.

Itone did not seek to evaluate the beauty of other women, but she could not deny that Izumi looked amazing. Her unusual costume perfectly matched her appearance. It seems she spent a lot of time making sure that the audience would be waiting for her next matches for sure.

The only secret for Itone was the skills of her rival. But soon enough, she will have the opportunity to find out about it. After leaving her corner, Itone made her way to the center of the ring with smooth steps in order to meet the debutant face to face. However, it would be more correct to say with the other debutant, because despite the fact that Itone had already participated in one match before, it was a tag team match, and today she had her first one-on-one match.

Izumi was the first to greet Itone, and the fact that she made a bow impressed the Japanese woman. It seems that her rival, like her, greatly respected Japanese traditions. Therefore, the White Swan responded to the blue-haired woman with the same courtesy, bowing to her. In most other situations, she would have done it only because of the need to maintain the image of her family, but Itone did it with sincerity in the case of Izumi.

"Konbanwa," she said in a cool but smooth and engaging voice. "In that case, I believe we both are."

Itone smiled slightly, making it clear that she was also looking forward to the start of the match. Perhaps she was even ready to offer her rival a handshake, but Izumi took a few steps back too quickly, creating a space between them. Itone did not object and did the same.

Taking two slow steps back, she took her fighting stance. Shifting her right leg a step back, she turned her left side slightly towards her opponent. Clenching her left fist, she raised it to the level of her chin and put it a little forward. Her right palm was half-bent and remained in a protective position near her jaw.

The White Swan nodded to the referee, making it clear that she was ready, after which her blue eyes focused on Izumi. Itone and Yaone have always said that as long as they are together, nothing can stop them. But today Itone intended to show everything she is capable of and loudly declare that her aspirations to the top are not limited only to the team division. It remains only to wait for the bell to ring.

Bowing out of respect towards her opponent Izumi would stand up straight and smile as she saw the bow returned with a certain level of sincerity that made her smile softly towards the woman. Backing up perhaps just a bit too early though unknowingly Izumi would recline against her corner, taking a few quick breaths to prepare herself, in contrast to her opponent who entered directly into a fighting stance. Meanwhile Izumi kept her eyes closed in concentration silently finishing any mental preparations before the match began.

Already the difference between the two were starting to become apparent. While Itone seemed serious and direct, rigid and fierce as ice, Izumi was calm, relaxed and loose, as flowing as the wind it seemed. Despite this though, there was an undercurrent of respect between the two already, different as they were, they were both clearly serious fighters in their own right who respected the proper rules and etiquette of combat, something that could definitely bond the two regardless of how tonight went.

Ding Ding

Snapping her eyes open in response to the bell ringing Izumi would push off from the corner, raising her hands up just as her opponent did, only one hand directly in front of her with the fingers curled and bent slightly while the other remained lower, at about level with her ribs in a claw shape as well while her legs were bent slightly, but still relatively loose as she began to approach Itone, eyes scanning her stance for any weaknesses.

"Good form. Kick boxer perhaps? Maybe Karate?" Izumi asked idly, the chit chat seeming to come natural to her despite the situation they were in... At least before moving to put her theory to the test by swinging her leg around, intending on driving her leg forward into Itone's own with a quick but strong blow aimed to test her opponent's reflexes more than anything, but if it connected and force her foe back for a moment she certainly wouldn't complain at all.

Hearing the bell ring, Itone closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the loud applause of the audience, who were clearly in great anticipation. For Izumi, it was the debut match, and for Itone, it was the first solo match. And without a doubt, the audience wanted to find out what they are capable of, because it's not for nothing they say that the first match sets the tone for the entire career.

The very unusual stance of her rival did not escape the White Swan's gaze. Something told her that, like herself, Izumi was able to use several different styles at the same time. Well, there was only one way to check it. The white-haired woman began to slowly approach her opponent, at the same time taking steps to the side, thereby circling around the ring and gradually reducing the radius.

Itone's eyes narrowed slightly at the moment Izumi started talking. Was it an attempt to distract her? The Japanese woman wasn't going to give an answer, but Izumi's words made her tense up. And for good reason. Because in the next second, the blue-haired woman decided to take the initiative and swung her right leg, clearly aiming a quick low kick at Itone's left leg.

"Fast..." ran through the second heiress of the Hidesato family's head.

Instead of bending her left leg at the knee and thereby blocking the kick with tense muscles, the White Swan decided to seize the initiative. Pushing off from the mat, she intended to take a sliding step to the right, thereby removing her leg from the line of her opponent's kick.

Rushing forward, she wanted to use the fact that Izumi's stance should have become less stable after an unsuccessful kick. Itone was about to throw her left hand forward, sending a left jab into the chin of the blue-haired woman. In this not the most cunning, but still effective way, she wanted to force Izumi to shift her defense up and thereby open her middle section, because it was there that Itone intended to send a right uppercut in order to knock down her opponent's breath.

Thus far Itone was proving to be quite the icey opponent, as befitting her overall look and aesthetic. Despite that though the fans were definitely behind both women, cheering them on and roaring excitedly despite the unknown nature of both women. Still the differences in personality was becoming ever more present between them as Izumi tried to make idle conversation only to receive a cold shoulder from Itone in response.

Regardless it wouldn't stop the blue haired woman from swiping her leg forward in a attempt to kick her opponent's leg, trying to gauge just how good the reaction time and response of her opponent was. Needless to say Itone would prove to Izumi that her skills were beyond up to par by not just moving her leg out of the way but also responding with a jab towards her face!

'Thats a quick punch!' Izumi thought, using the balance of her standing leg to push backwards, arching her back as she did so to effectively perform a back flip to evade not just the jab from Itone, but apparently a follow up uppercut from her opponent as well as Izumi leapt backwards to gain some distance between herself and her opponent.

"Scratch that. You're definitely a boxer at least." Izumi said with a small huff, but a smile never leaving her face as she looked across at her opponent, starting to circle her at a measured pace, looking for her next opportunity to strike. Meanwhile the crowd would be showing their own appreciation at the short but impressive display of combative skill from both women which would only get more intense and frequent as the match went on!

It was obvious that the blue-haired woman's first attack was just a test and she was probably ready for several scenarios. However, Itone was sure that she had chosen the most rational option, in which the chances of success of her own attack were quite high. With cold determination, the second heiress of the Hidesato family rushed forward, throwing her left fist at Izumi's face.

And although she initially intended to use an uppercut right after that, it became obvious after the jab that this was not necessary. Just one leg and a clearly disturbed balance after an unsuccessful attack did not prevent the blue-haired woman from not only reacting to the attack of the White Swan, but also evading it with amazing ease. Itone even had to make some effort not to raise her left eyebrow.

The only positive thing was that when Izumi gracefully landed on her feet, Itone understood exactly how this match would go. Still not paying attention to her opponent's words, the White Swan straightened to her full height and returned her fighting stance to its original position, after which both women began to circle around each other.

"Perhaps I should try something else..." Itone thought.

Before signing the contracts, she and her older sister had several joint training sessions with a pink-haired Frenchwoman. It was Victoria's idea because she wanted to see if the Hidesato sisters really had high enough skills. And although together they made a great impression on Charlotte in sparring, alone neither Yaone nor Itone were strong enough for such an outstanding woman. Since then, they have both taken several private training sessions from Charlotte. And now the White Swan intended to try something.

Without waiting for her opponent's move, she rushed forward. Having shortened the distance, she shifted her weight to her right leg, and then swung her left leg, making a not too wide arc. It probably seemed to many that she intended to do what Izumi had done a few moments ago, namely to send a classic low kick to her right knee joint.

However, the second heiress of the Hidesato family was going to sharply bend her left leg at the knee, so that her foot would not even touch her rival's knee. So what was it for? This would allow her to prepare for something much heavier, because now her bent left leg was as charged as possible. And all she had to do was lean back slightly and straighten her left leg forward and up in an attempt to hit Izumi right in the face with an unexpected high side kick.

Thus far the bout between Itone and Izumi was fairly competitive out of the gate, not a surprise really given the backgrounds of both women and the fact that it was their company and solo debuts respectively. Thus far though with how loudly the fans were cheering and reacting to the action inside the ring it seemed both were on their way to making an excellent first impression for the fans.

Still, a first impression was only so satisfying, and nowhere near as much as a full on proper victory over the other. Yet with the graceful balancing act Izumi had pulled to avoid Itone's attack it was only becoming more and more apparent that a ending would be a long and arduous affair to achieve. Regardless of who was standing at the end of things.

Focusing on the white swan, in spite of the smile on Izumi's face the Azure Dragon was steadily analyzing her opponent with a well hidden keen eye, slowly but surely taking in the woman's style. The way she punched, the way she moved and pulled back. Putting it all together and getting a stronger idea of her style as the bout progressed. Something that as time went on.. Would surely make a difference in this bout.

Placing her fists up in preparation after her dodge Izumi would watch Itone carefully, waiting for her to make the next move as the woman approached. "Not the talkative type huh?" Izumi asked as they approached one another, continuing a one sided conversation with little worry or concern in her voice, until she saw the white swan suddenly surge forward!

'Fast!' Izumi thought, about to pull her leg back, but unsure if it would be in time... Only for her opponent's leg to not even come close to her own. 'Oh I see' Izumi thought to herself too little too late before her opponent's pulled in leg suddenly shot outwards, right at her face! "Ugh!" Izumi groaned out in pain as she was launched backwards, stumbling right into the ropes, while holding her face!

For the first time since the bell rang, the corners of Itone's lips slightly lifted. The reason for this was that her foot crashed right into Izumi's face. The force of the kick was so high that the blue-haired woman was literally thrown back. Izumi stopped only when her back pressed against the ropes.

The White Swan wasn't going to gloat because it was beneath her dignity, but it didn't stop her from feeling some satisfaction. It was proof that she was able to learn some skills from Charlotte, whom their manager, Victoria, considered the best kicker alive. However, despite the fact that the white-haired woman was clearly pleased with the result, she did not lose concentration. She wasn't going to stop at this success, instead she was going to use it as a springboard for further onslaught. Literally.

Itone intended to follow her rival. She knew she still had a lot to learn on the way to the top, but she had sharp instincts that said that right now she had to take advantage of Izumi's weakened state. It was hard to say how loud the bells were ringing in the blue-haired woman's head after this kick, but the White Swan intended to make sure that with the next move she would knock the spirit out of her rival.

She was going to take as much speed as possible while approaching her opponent. Most of all, it looked like she just wanted to bump into the other Japanese woman, but a very attentive person would have noticed that Itone was not moving in line with Izumi, but about a step to the left.

"Now..." flashed through her mind when there were no more than two steps between her and her opponent.

Itone intended to push off the mat with force and jump forward. Instead of crashing into her opponent, she was going to put both feet on the middle rope. If she had succeeded, the audience would probably have gasped loudly. And they had a reason for this because at the same moment the White Swan would throw her hands to her opponent's head in order to close her in a classic front facelock hold. The last thing she had to do was lean back, simultaneously pushing her feet off the middle rope. Thus, she wanted to get an impulse in order to fall on her back and drive Izumi's head right into the mat with a variation of the slingshot DDT!

Making an evaluation of someone's method of fighting in the midst of a fight was always a hit or miss process, sometimes with an emphasis on hit. Izumi knew this and was reminded of it all the same with Itone's surprise kick to the face! Stumbling back into the ropes and shaking her head to clear the stars from her vision Izumi would admit that it was a solid and well executed hit.

Nothing to complain about whatsoever, well except if you were on the receiving end like her. Rather than complain though Izumi would look up, knowing that her opponent likely wouldn't be squandering such a golden opportunity with her being quite literally on the ropes. After all she'd be wanting to do so.

Sure enough as she looked up it was just in time too see the white swan taking to the air gracefully just like her namesake and it would surely be for something even worse than a kick to the face! 'Move!' she thought to herself, using her grips on the top rope to push herself to the side, allowing her to see the position that Itone landed in with her feet perched on the ropes.

'So that's what you were going for.' Izumi thought to herself before swinging her leg up, trying to kick at Itone's leg to disrupt her balance and hopefully take her off the ropes and send her falling down to her back on the mat below!

Should this move manage to work in not only saving herself but also leaving Itone on the mat then Izumi would move to press an advantage of her own. Had the move worked then her leg would still be outstretched, a fact that she'd look to make the most of by lifting it up higher to be near parallel with her body before swinging it down, trying to drive her heel into Itone's prone body with a axe kick!
