Rules: The winner must pin, submit, or knock out her opponent.
The backstage area was buzzing with busybodies as Chiyo made her final preparations for her match. She waved and greeted the stagehands that walked by as she adjusted her kickpads, already beginning to notice some familiar faces among them. Now that Chiyo had a couple of matches under her belt here at LAW, all the usual pre-match nerves and jitters that usually plagued her bouts were nothing more than a soothing familiarity. Not that they were gone completely mind you. But after the tough lessons she'd learned from her rough debut, and the impact she'd made in the match soon after, there wasn't a fight or girl in the world that could scare this rookie!
The bright-eyed joshi wrestler's energy couldn't be contained as she bounced on the balls of her feet, feeling the adrenaline pumping through her muscles. Chiyo felt like she was on the verge of exploding, that was until her music started playing, and the nearby stagehand finally gave her a cue to enter the stage! She took a deep breath and centered herself, putting on a signature gameface that many of her new fans would immediately come to recognize as her own.
Red Hot Chiyo
Chiyo's energy was contagious, and the audience cheered even louder as she approached the ring. As she reached the apron, she leaped onto it and turned to face the arena, flashing a peace sign and blowing kisses to the cheering crowds. Then, she gracefully stepped through the ropes, making her way to the center of the ring where she gave each side of the squared circle a respectful bow. Chiyo licked her lips as the ring announcer handed her the mic, ready to share her anticipation for this match with the viewers.
"Hellooooooo, LAW!" she shouted into the mic, her voice practically crackling with pure energy. "It's your girl - say it with me now - RED...HOT... CHIYOOOOO!" The pinkette boomed, along with a small but dedicated fanbase chanting along with her.
"I don't know what's gotten into me, folks, but I am on FIRE tonight! Let's hope my opponent will be able to handle all this heat, am I right?" she paused for a moment, surveying the cheering crowd. "Speaking of which, a little birdie told me I'm going up against some chick named Rosie Knuckles - " A chorus of mixed reactions interrupted the pinkette's monologue. "- Hey now, she's a real bona fide brawler I heard. But don't you worry ladies and gents, because I'm faster, I'm smarter, and I'm cuter!" She giggled, twirling around on the spot. "Besides, nobody is tough enough to extinguish these flames" Chiyo challenged as she leapt onto the nearby turnbuckle, flexing her muscles to the endearing amusement of the crowd.
"So watchya waiting for Rosie? Don't make come back there and light a fire under your ass, 'cause you know I will!" Chiyo whooped, sticking her tongue out for a playful flair. But the show was far from finished. Throwing her fists in the air to hype the audience up even more, Chiyo performed a backwards somersault off the top turnbuckle, landing elegantly on her feet center-ring! With a dainty bow, Chiyo tossed the microphone in the ring announcer's hands before making her way to her corner. She had caused quite the commotion with her speech, especially after poking fun at one of the lightweight division's more infamously rougher combatants. But if there was one thing Chiyo had learned about this job, it was that the wrestling business was built on hype. Now, all she had to do was deliver.
With arms draped across the top ropes, Chiyo eagerly stared across the stage, foot tapping impatiently against the canvas as she waited to witness the girl who'd be sharing the ring with her tonight.
