L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

Phoebe wouldn't show it on her face, but she was quite excited to wrestle some of the superhero themed LAW wrestlers, including some of the women who made their name primarily in other companies...like eternal rivals Sonic Cat and Sonic Knight, both women primarily known for their time in Ring Dream and Wrestle Angels...and tonight, the Detective Rider was facing the rougher of the two women...and she was ready to win against the Dark Heroine!

Phoebe's theme played across the arena as she drove her motorcycle down the entrance ramp, driving it around the ring and leaving it at ring side. With how often she was wrestling in LAW, she became quite well known in the company already, getting a decent following for her entrance, and wrestling skill.

Phoebe hopped onto the apron and the ropes and jump and rolled in midair, ending up in the ring in an arrow-like pose, her arms at either side of her and her head looking forward, before she stood up, and did one last pose, crossing her right arm at a diagonal across her chest!

With her entrance music quieting down, she went to her corner, awaiting Sonic Knight's arrival.

It was time for another match for Sonic Knight, the Dark Heroine. Waiting for her cue in the locker room, she closed her eyes, calming herself down. She had made her name here in LAW, more so than back then when she was in Ring Dream, where she was nothing but the doppelganger of the much beloved Sonic Cat. She had a rather complicated relationship with the cheery and bubbly superheroine, and while the two of them were still in the same company, Sonic Knight knew that she could carve her own path here in LAW besides being Sonic Cat's dark counterpart.

Receiving her cue, Sonic Knight rose up from her seat before she made her way out of the entrance where her music was played. She was slated to face someone named Phoebe Justice, whoever that was. The dark heroine was determined to win this and show it to everyone what she was made of. As she made her way down to the ring, she received a mixed reaction from the crowd, ranging from loud cheering to loud booing. It served her just fine, knowing that she was the designated villain to the more bright-faced hero whom she would face tonight.

Sonic Knight

Sonic Knight finally arrived at the ring. Climbing up the apron, the dark heroine then rolled under the ropes before standing up, entering the ring. She looked at her opponent tonight and smirked. "So... are you going to be my sacrifice tonight?" Sonic Knight asked as she sneered at her, wanting to see her reaction. She would show her capability as a wrestler here, and Phoebe would do just fine to be the latest one among her foes to be felled in the ring so that her name could become more prestigious in this company.

Phoebe stretched and got ready as Sonic entered to a very mixed reaction from the crowd, her dark, rough reputation following her as she looked to do battle with the American. Phoebe couldn't help but crack a small smirk at Sonic Knight's comment:

"Only thing I am sacrificing is my blood and tears to defeat you!"

At her cheesy, but what she believed to be a cool and heroic comment, Phoebe blushed, and returned to her usual, stoic expression, nodding towards the ref that she was ready to begin the match...

Sonic Knight smirked, looking very pleased by the fact that her opponent was someone worthy to be sacrificed (and certainly not because she was playing along with her chunni antics, no sir). Getting ready for the match, Sonic Knight kept looking at Phoebe before it was time to start the match. Stepping away from her corner, she listened to the referee who outlined the general rules of the match before the two of them were checked whether they had any hidden weapons in their person or not.

Once that was done, the referee called for the bell, starting the match. Hearing the sound of the bell, Sonic Knight immediately got into a stance, a confident smirk etched on her face as she held her arms out. "Face oblivion!" Sonic Knight growled as she would then surge forth, looking to lock up with Phoebe in a test of strength, locking their hands together.

While Phoebe was still relatively new to the actual act of wrestling, she actually had been a fan for long before that…and she knew for a long time that ultimately, wrestling was physical theater. It wasn’t just the skilled ones who succeeded in the ring, but the charismatic as well. And as a tokusatsu fan, it legitimately made the American very happy when she could combine her new job and her favourite hobby together…

With final checks by the ref, the official would motion for the bell:

DING DING DING!

And the match between the two women was on!

Sonic Knight would confidently walk forward towards the center of the ring, as did Phoebe, with both women taking each other’s hand for a Test of Strength!

Phoebe pushed as hard as she could…but, despite both women being very similar heights, Sonic Knight had a bit more bulk to her body…and as such, the American Detective couldn’t find much progress with her strength!

Locking up in the test of strength, Sonic Knight could feel that she was physically superior compared to her opponent. Which was already expected, with her packing quite a strength in a lithe frame. Smirking, Sonic Knight started applying more of her strength into the lock up, parting both Phoebe's arms, forcing them to the sides first before pulling them down. Then, she would spring out her next attack.

With Phoebe's arms spread out like that, Sonic Knight would suddenly drive her knee into her gut, looking to catch her off-guard. She wanted to make her double over from the strike to her belly, and this would make Phoebe open for more attacks if it was successful.

Phoebe tried to figure a way out to avoid bending to the floor under Sonic Knight's might or being driven to a corner, wanting to kick at her opponents arm to try and avoid letting her foe get the advantage this early on in the match...

Sonic, however, had different plans, as she drove her knee straight into Phoebe's gut, doubling her over!

"GUAAGH!"

Holding her stomach, Phoebe tried to swing her arm at her rival, a desperation manuever more than anything. Even if it struck her foe in her body, it likely wouldn't have done much to stun Sonic Knight in her advance!

By driving her knee into Phoebe's gut, Sonic Knight could see her opponent doubling over. When Phoebe tried to hit her with a desperate attack, the dark heroine just stepped back, avoiding the attack. The stepping back gave her a bit of a distance between the two of them, and Sonic Knight would use this opportunity to deliver her next attack.

Her next attack was a roundhouse kick, targeting the side of Phoebe's head. If her leg connected, Sonic Knight wanted to see Phoebe fall down to the mat. From there, she could continue with her momentum, keeping up with her attacks to retain her upper hand over her.

Phoebe's wild punch missed, and Sonic Knight would swiftly punish her for a bad maneuver, swinging her leg straight at the side of Phoebe's head! The American woman was stunned, falling on her side, hearing bells in her head as she tried to rouse herself to wake up and get up! But in the immediate moments after the kick, her movements were slow and sluggish...

Sonic Knight let out a chuckle after seeing Phoebe falling down from the roundhouse kick. Smirking, Sonic Cat would then run past her, moving towards the ropes to rebound from them and then return back to where Phoebe was. Making use of the momentum from the rebound, while Phoebe was still trying to get up, Sonic Knight would try to hit her with a baseball slide, hitting her body with both her feet after getting down to slide on the canvas.
