Katarzyna Zawiślak vs Lauren Fredericks

Kate was fighting backstage, pacing from wall to wall even more than she usually did. Today she was going to face a woman with far more experience in the ring than she had, probably more than her and all of her opponent's so far combined and even having a flawless record thus far brought her no comfort at this moment. She shifted her focus to thinking about her opponent, they were the same height but Lauren was heavier, maybe stronger, this was hard to judge, some scenarios started running through her head but were cut short by a staff member signalling her to get ready to make an entrance. Time for thinking was over.

After a few seconds of her song went by, accompanied by flashes of gold and purple, Kate made her way onto the stage, jogging to the centre and raising her right arm up. The crowd was something she was starting to get used to, she even spotted a sign with her name all in purple and a familiar nickname below it "combat wombat" which made her crack a little smile and blush before she would make her way down the ramp and up the stairs to the ring, working up the courage to get onto the middle rope and pump her fist up once more for the audience before turning around and leaning back, awaiting her opponent.

Lauren was backstage ready to try to go out there and pick up another win! She had snapped a losing streak by winning an Apex qualifier and she felt good about her chances tonight. She was going to go out there and try to stick to her usual game plan working over her opponent. Lauren needed to keep rolling. The big flubbery blonde grappler heard her music playing and emerged out into the arena with a smile on her face holding her arms out as the crowd gave her a moderate cheer.

Lauren strut and stomped her way down to the ring seeing Katarzyna already there and waiting. Lauren as going to be ready, she had to be. The big woman walked up the ring steps and climbed through the ropes looking over her opponent as she stood in her own corner holding her arms up again. Soon enough Lauren stepped out to the middle of the ring, bouncing foot to foot as she looked ready to go tonight!

Kate took a deep breath and let it out slowly, seeing her opponent did not make her feel any more confident, it never did. Still, her opponent at least looked like a nice person which was slightly reassuring though not in the way she would have hoped for. Regardless it was about time to begin and Kate approached the centre of the ring and offered her hand to shake with the other women. After that, she would back away and wait for the bell.

Now that the fight started, Kate would waste no time, she knew that if she wanted to win and she did, there could be no half-measures. With that in mind, she rushed forward, skipping to the left at the last moment and firing off a powerful left hook to Lauren's body!

Lauren was ready to move in to grapple with Katarzyna but she moved at the last minute hammering the big blonde in the mid-section with a hard punch! "Oomph!" Lauren groaned as she stumbled back. Lauren tried to steady herself and fave Katarzyna again hoping to step up and swing a forearm smash right back into her chest to retaliate!

The punch did not have as much of an effect as Kate hoped for but that was to be expected. It was after all just the beginning and it at least it left her in a position to defend herself from the incoming forearm strike that still left a stinging pain across her own hands. She would continue their exchange by getting in more of a boxing stance, quickly moving her upper body before firing a series of three body shots, two hooks an uppercut.

Lauren hit the smaller woman but she managed to stay up and she came right back at Lauren rocking her! Lauren groaned and grunted the body shots made her stagger but the hard uppercut at the end hammered her sending her stumbling back on limp legs as she fell against the ropes, her arms draped over the top rope to keep her from collapsing to the ground!

Kate continued to sway in her stance as Lauren stumbled back, remaining close behind her opponent. With her now on the ropes she would endeavor to keep up the pressure. First, she would skip forward, firing another right hook, this time at her opponent's head that she would follow by setting her hand behind her neck and grabbing her leg from the opposite side to get in the proper position before delivering a fisherman suplex!

Lauren groaned as she was rocked again by a hard punch stumbling until she was grabbed by Katarzyna, lift up int the air with her near 200lbs crashing down hard to the mat on her back! "AHHHHHHH!" Lauren howled upon impact, thrashing and hoping to avoid being pinned but only able to lay on her side on the canvas after the painful landing.

Kate half hoped that Lauren would stay on her back after the suplex but her turn to the side was not unexpected. There was still a lot of work left in the match and she could not waste time. She would approach her foe and grab her behind her neck and below her thigh to deadlift her up and hoist above her own head in a display of strength just before she would throw her down on the mat.

Things were going terribly for Lauren as she was on the mat in pain. Katarzyna grabbed hold of the flubbery blonde and lift her up right off the mat before slamming her down on the canvas again! "ARRRRGHHHHH!" Lauren howled as she weakly kicked the mat in pain, her thighs rumbling with each kick as the ring ropes were still shaking from the thunderous impact.
