A Valiant Debut: Belinda Northman vs Makie Akamatsu (D)

Makie groaned as she lay on her back, her chest rising and falling as she stared up at the arena lights. She had been off to a rocky start against a seasoned pro like Belinda, and things were steadily getting worse: she had managed to get a few solid hits in, but now the difference in skill and experience between her and Belinda was starting to tell.

Before Makie could even try to get back to her feet, Belinda was dropping down top of her, hooking her leg for the pinfall. After the count of one, however, Makie twisted sharply, huffing for breath as she got a shoulder up. It was still early in this match, and she wasn't out of it yet-- not by a long shot.

[Devastated]

Belinda hooked Makie's leg and went for that pin, she heard the referee slap her hand down for the first count...but before the second count could hit Makie's body twisted underneath hers and she thrust her shoulder up, breaking the pin! Belinda would push up to her knees and look down at the Japanese wrestler. She was rather impressed that she kicked out after a one-count.

"Heh, alright. Guess I underestimated you." Belinda said in a friendly tone, a slight smile on her face. Belinda would then reach down and try to pull Makie up to her feet as she herself would rise as well. The blonde would try and pull Makie up onto her shoulders in a fireman's carry! She'd stomp a couple of steps towards the corner before swinging Makie forward and trying to throw the Japanese fighter down with a Fireman's Carry slam, right before the corner...as Belinda had planned to set Makie up for a little highflying action.

Makie was breathing hard now as she tried to roll away from Belinda, pushing herself up to her hands and knees. Above her, Belinda was complimenting her, stating something about having underestimated her. It was a sentiment that Makie would have appreciated a lot more if she weren't currently battered and out of breath.

She felt Belinda grabbing her by the arm, and the next thing Makie knew, Belinda was hoisting up onto her shoulders. Makie gasped. conscious of how the blonde Swede was parading her around like a trophy, and she tried to fight back, shooting an elbow back into Belinda's head to make her let go.

Whether or not the blow connected, it ultimately would not stop Belinda from tossing Makie like a ragdoll into the corner. "GAAAAAH! Makie cried out as she was slammed back-first into the mat, her leg kicking weakly as she was left staring up at the arena lights. "Nnnh...d...dammit..."

[Devastated]

Belinda carried Makie off on her shoulders as she walked towards the corner, and when she reached it the blonde would swing her opponent down, slamming the lightweight down with that fireman's carry slam! The impact seemed to have done well in keeping Makie down as she heard her cry and out and saw her kick her leg weakly.

The blonde would nod her head and start to climb up the turnbuckle. Getting to the top ropes as she would look down at Makie...then take to the air! Belinda Northman would jump up off the turnbuckle and flip forward in the air as she aimed to drop down on top of Makie with a Senton bomb!

Makie was groaning now as she lay flat on her back, one leg kicking weakly as she tried to do something, anything, to get feeling back into her hurting body. Right now, Belinda's superior experience and skill was really starting to shine, and Makie could barely keep up with Belinda's brutal offence. She had to get back into this fight somehow, fast, otherwise she knew the powerful Swede was just going to steamroll her.

Forcing one eye open, Makie saw Belinda climbing the turnbuckle before leaping off, coming down at Makie with what looked like a senton! Gasping, Makie gritted her teeth and forced herself into a roll, hoping to avoid being hit by what could very much be a match-winning move on Belinda's part...

[Devastated]

Belinda had climbed up the turnbuckles as she got onto the top ropes, getting ready to throw herself off the top turnbuckle and send herself crashing down on Makie. For the moment it looked as if the young Japanese was fairly out of it, she was down on her back and all she seemed to do in terms of movement was weakly kicking her leg out...

The blonde would nod to herself and then take off! Jumping into the air as she sought to bring herself down on top of Makie! An action that didn't go exactly as planned, as Makie had managed to roll out of the way, something Belinda only noticed when her body crashed into the canvas with a loud thud. " Gaah!" the Swedish-American would cry out as her body hit the mat and she bounced up a bit, leaving the blonde seated on the mat with her hands reaching down to her lower back to try and quell the pain.

The crowd went wild, screaming with both exhilaration and disbelief as Makie narrowly managed to roll out of the way of Belinda's incoming senton bomb. The crash behind her told her that the impact had been a brutal one, and inwardly she was sighing with relief; admittedly she had no idea how much more of Belinda's relentless onslaught she could have taken. Now she had an opportunity to turn things around.

Stumbling to her feet, Makie huffed and grabbed hold of Belinda's hair with both hands to yank her up. Clamping an arm around her head for a frontal headlock, Makie would try to grab a hold around Belinda's thigh, and, with a yell, drop back, trying to nail Belinda with a quick and effective suplex!

[Devastated]

Belinda hissed out in pain as she reached back and tried to soothe her aching back! She would shake her head a bit, as she tried to deal with the pain as she then began to look over her shoulder to try and see where Makie was! Though as she turned her head those hands of Makie clamped down on her short blonde hair and yanked Belinda upwards! Wincing out from the hairpulling, Belinda would be forced to rise up in front of Makie...facing the young Japanese fighter!

The Swedish-American could do nothing to stop Makie, save for a bit of struggling, as Makie locked her up in that frontal face-lock hold and then hooked her leg! Leaving Belinda standing on one foot, hunched forward. The arms of the blonde flailed just a bit, as she was heaved up by Makie Akamatsu who then dropped her right down on her back!

"Ghahh!" Belinda cried out as her lower back hit right into the canvas, sending a fresh jolt of surging pain through her spine!
