"Debuting first..."
Alicia Soto subtly shifted her weight from foot to foot with a nervousness she shouldn't have revealed to anyone, even the backstage aid she didn't see who slowly became mesmerized by the sight of her jiggling back and forth. She couldn't afford nervousness. Alicia's mother had taught her well. If you get nervous, it only means something important is happening for you. Alicia suspected an athlete had first said those words, but she never pointed that out to her mom. Whoever coined the quote, they had the right of it. Alicia could get nervous, but Hollywood Siren would live for these important moments.
"...from the shadow of LA..."
Siren flipped her hair and wore her fiercest face as the soft acoustic intro of "LA Devotee" echoed in the arena, and only once the vocals and guitar landed did she shove her way onto the stage as if someone barred her way. She emerged to curious, optimistic cheers and stopped to tilt her shades down to reveal her eyes and pose for the flashes from a thousand cameras like the paparazzi had found her. "Perfect," Siren whispered aloud to herself, serving to the greatest effect as a quick pep talk to shut out all hint of doubt.
"...weighing in at one hundred and eighty-one pounds... Hollywooooooooood Sireeeeeeen!"
Spoiler
The half-Latin beauty hopped onto the ring apron and absconded with the sunglasses, making what fan that caught them one pair richer, and after tracing her frame with a finger as the song slowed, swung a leg high to step through the ropes. After a quick foray onto one turnbuckle, where Siren looked over the fans in the near sections with a sensual confidence, her moment in the spotlight came to an end as her music quieted. Alicia did breathe one sigh of relief, but she leaned against the ropes, looking like she belonged as she awaited Dizzy.
