Dana Ashford vs. Thereisa Niedermeyer - Friend or Foe

For tonight's match, Dana Ashford would be facing Thereisa Niedermeyer or Cyber Widow in the ring. Both of them had quite a history together, and if there was something one could say about their relationship, it ranged from "friendly rivalry" to "it's complicated". Regardless, just because the two of them had a history together didn't mean Dana wouldn't hold herself back against her fellow veteran, and she wanted to be the one who emerged victorious over her in this match.

Making her way to the ring, Dana received mixed reactions from the crowd, cheers and boos mixed together. Dana herself remained smiling, displaying such a serene disposition that earned her the nickname "Smiling Demon". In this battle against two giants, there would be no friends, only fellow competitors who would do their upmost best to emerge victorious in this match. In fact, Dana wouldn't hesitate to humiliate Thereisa if it suited her needs.

Soon, Dana Ashford entered the ring, and as she waited for Cyber Widow to arrive, she would head over to one of the corners and lean against it. She looked at the direction of the entrance as she waited for her opponent to arrive. Both of them had wrestled each other on numerous occasion prior to LAW, and this match would be their first clash here in this promotion. She was wondering to herself whether it would end with her victory or her defeat.

Thereisa could recall the last time her and Dana had a match... It was a close back and forth, with the match ending in a draw due to her grabbing Dana leg and keeping her from getting into the ring. But seeing that her old not close but close friend/enemy called her up for a match, who was she to deny the chance to tangle with one of the toughest wrestlers she has ever known to beat or be defeated by. As she even decides to wear her old suit for old time sake since Dana never changed her look ever, as she chuckles at that thought.

Music blares over the loudspeakers as she makes her grand entrance on stage. Walking down the ramp, her eyes not leaving the older woman who waiting in the corner for her. Stepping over the ring rope and into the ring, standing a bit away from her opponent. 'So who would have thought that we would share the same ring again Dana, I still owe you a beating for that match when you...' Thereisa face burns red at that humiliating defeat. When she was a middleweight, she challenged the Ashford woman to the best of seven series... The series was a clean sweep for the older experienced woman, who put her through the ringer, but the last match was the most embarrassing due to Dana using methods to defeat her.

'This time I'm going to make due and kick that head of yours till I knock you out.' she says, stepping into the corner and waiting for the bell to ring. She knows that she will have to bring her A game to win against someone who knows her just as well as she knows Dana.

Watching Thereisa making her entrance, Dana waited at her corner, smiling all the while. Soon, the other woman joined her in the ring, and Dana didn't look away from her opponent as she studied her. Sure, Thereisa might look older now, a lot bigger too, but she still looked the same just like the last time they met in the ring. She still remembered those times when she fought her in the ring, and Dana honestly thought that they were some of her finest works in the squared circle.

"Oho? Well, well... while I'm not really offering my head for you to kick just for old time's sake, I guess I'll do something to... 'commemorate' our time together in the ring, if you catch my drift..." Dana displayed her signature motherly smile as she teased the other woman. She still could remember those matches as if they were just yesterday. "I can't wait to make you putty in my hands again, just like last time..." Of course, Dana wouldn't hold back because regardless of their history, Thereisa was still pretty much a dangerous opponent.

And soon, the referee called for the two of them to the center of the ring. Stepping away from her corner, the match would then start as the referee called for the bell. Immediately taking a stance, Dana would carefully watch her opponent's movements as she would think of a plan on how to handle the former Black Widow. Thereisa wasn't some greenhorn neophyte, after all. She was a veteran with years of experience under her belt, just like her. She would treat this match with upmost seriousness.

Thereisa would give her opponent a cocky glare. 'There not going to be a next time, Dana. The only thing that going to commemorate this match between us is you on your back being pinned by me.' She replies right back, remembering those times Dana put her through the ringer, all while keeping that damn creepy smile on her face the whole time. ' Now, if you're done talking about the past, let start off. Because I'm going to enjoy kicking your ass from pillar to post, before making you tap out and make sure you scream out for me to...''

As soon as the bell rung. She comes out of her corner slowly, more on the defense side, due to knowing who she is up against. In a pure power match, Dana has the advantage in that department, but in a fast pace match she is better due to being able to push the pace and keep her opponent guessing at every turn. Rushing forward, she plans on meeting her former friend head on, raising her leg up to go for a big boot to the face.

Now that the match had begun, Dana would prepare herself for what Thereisa was going to throw at her. When she saw her opponent coming towards her with her foot raised up for the big boot, Dana would do a sidestep, avoiding the kick that was aimed to her face. She knew that taking the kick would surely knock her down, which would put her in quite a disadvantage.

After avoiding the big boot, Dana would try to retaliate with an attack of her own. As Thereisa was within her reach, Dana would extend out her arm before trying to hit her with a short-arm clothesline, targeting her opponent's upper chest. She wanted to see if the clothesline was enough to knock the Cyber Widow down or not.

It never got old seeing Dana being able to show off her speed during a match. Thereisa could remember every time Dana would surprise someone by moving her plump frame and be quicker than others, even able to out quick her at some times as well.

Her big boot was avoided. As Thereissa stopped on a dime and turned, but she had placed herself in her opponent range, as an impactful clothesline slams into her chest that sends her to the canvas. Letting out a small cough as she gets to her feet, but places some distance between herself and Dana... deciding to keep the older woman at bay due to having the length advantage over her. 'What the matter, Dana? Old age starting to catch up with you, huh... You used to hit harder than that before...'

Dana managed to knock Thereisa down with the short-arm clothesline, though she immediately picked herself up soon after that. Hearing the remark from Thereisa, Dana chuckled before replying, "Everyone gets older, Thereisa. I'll be the first to admit that. But you... you haven't grown up at all, still as childish as before." She said that while maintaining her serene smile.

Dana would close in as she carefully watched Thereisa's movements. She knew that her opponent was being cautious, and to test the water, Dana would try to send a forearm swipe aimed to her chest, wanting to see how the other veteran was going to react to that.

Hearing that comment about being childish annoys her something fierce. Since that what Dana would always say to her during their string of matches, even when they would meet up after the shows, the older woman would try to mother her. ' Me being childish?... This is coming from the woman who enjoys beating up poor rookies and then trying to act like a mother with that creepy smile of yours.' She replies right back, that cocky grin still on her face.

Seeing her opponent on the move and the forearm heading her way. Thereisa would show off her own speed, and her reach advantage. As she steps forward to take that extra bit of momentum, before turning and throws her leg forward for her signature move. She made sure she gets the full extension, as she stops with her foot near Dana face and poses there... 'Even now I'm still faster than you Big Sis Dana...' Before dropping her leg and walks around the ring. She got to show that she is not that young angry woman from the past, but now the real match begins...

'Your move Dana...'

Dana shrugged. "Well, at least I admit it," she conceded. Her tendency to smile serenely in the ring and her motherly disposition somehow could be quite unnerving as a combination, though Dana had embraced her moniker, Smiling Demon. Still, as Dana tried to land her hit on Thereisa, the other woman was pretty quick on her feet despite her size, and before she knew it, the Cyber Widow had her foot literally an inch away from her face. To her credit, though, Dana managed to suppress her flinch when her opponent's foot almost hit her face.

"Big Sis Dana, huh? It's been a while since the last time you called me that..." Dana said as she would step back, preparing herself for what her opponent was about to do next. Seeing that Thereisa was walking around in the ring, Dana decided to mirror her, circling her while maintaining the distance between the two of them. Then, she would stop and make a 'come here' gesture, as if inviting the other woman to close in so that they could continue with their tussle.

Thereisa is planning something. Seeing Dana make the 'Come here' motion with her hands, she can't help but chuckle recall all the times she would do that with her during their matches. But she is older now and she knows that one mistake can cost her the match, and making mistakes against someone like her older sister figure would be costly due to Dana sadistic side that she hides behind that smile.

'Surprised you didn't flinch at all... But I can change that for you, Dana.' She calls out. Eager to show what she has planned on taking down her once former trainer, rushing forward Thereisa jumps into the air. Her spread out as she tries to land a head scissors takedown on her opponent to get her to the canvas.
