Nikki Lane vs. Dawn McDowell: Can't Breathe Match

Can't Breathe Match: The fight can only end when one fighter KOs the other with a move that restricts their breathing, such as a smother, choke, scissor, etc. The use of other attacks are legal but cannot be used to end the match. Pinfalls and Submissions will not be recognized.

Nikki Lane had officially gotten her feet wet at LAW. She won her first match rather convincingly and she hoped today would be more of the same. By all means it should be, as her opponent is another jobber in Dawn McDowell. From what Nikki had seen of her, Dawn was a spunky, curvy girl who could take a lot, but not really dish anything out. Nikki was confident that said best girl would end up being her. After all, she was well equipped for a chokes match, and more than ready for it. She could tell from looking that Dawn had a good body for smothering, so Nikki suspected that would be Dawn's primary method of attack. Especially so considering Dawn's reputation for a lack of offensive output.

"You got it Ms. Lane! I'm not going to go easy on you!" She declared with a cheery, bright smile before back up to her neutral corner. Dawn hopped from foot to foot and put her fists up. If that worked, Nikki would then attempt to establish a full mount position on Dawn to set up her next attack.

To say that Dawn was caught off guard by Nikki's aggression was an understatement. She had edged closer to her opponent, though it was just because she assumed she was supposed to. And she flinched the moment Nikki lunged at her! "Uwaaa!" She bit fully on the feint, so much so that she tried to lean backwards and away!

The result was that she was already off balance before the sweep hit. She went down in a dizzied heap! Her legs up in the air as she moaned and rubbed at her poor butt! She was in no position to fend off Nikki's follow up, and even if she were, she wouldn't have known how! The blonde quickly scrambled atop her! The start of the match had gone exactly to plan so far, and Nikki was ready to capitalize. Even her experience in the ring had mostly been people attacking her with strikes or low blows. This sort of technical grappling was way outside of her wheel house!
