Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto
Standard Match:- Winner is determined by knockout, pinfall or submission.
Cassandra always thought she had really bad luck- maybe she met too many black cats, maybe she walked under too many ladders or maybe she made a mirror shatter with her looks. She personally liked the idea of the last one, because it was funny to imagine.
However today she figured she was proven right. A hell of a re-debut match, as she’d notice the name of her opponent while sitting in the locker room, rubbing her chin lightly.
”Kate.. never told me she had a sister in LAW..
.. she’s got silly hair.”
In her privacy, the butterfly tended to mumble a lot. Quietly, and it kinda creeped the staff out that was waiting on her to be honest. Ever since Cassandra had returned, there was a strange aura around her. It was like she was undead, not quite a corpse but not in the realm of the living.
Undead and Unlucky, she kind of liked the sound of that, really. The dark haired woman lightly smoothed her hair down, standing up and looking in the mirror. She hadn’t really gained much weight in her vacation, in fact she had lost some fat and converted it into muscle, leaving the bit of a baby figure on her vanished.
Though she did have a bit of a babyface still. Cassandra admired her figure. She had more power like she wanted to, but she did fear her skills might have gotten rusty. At the farm there was a lack of good sparring partners and her cousin frankly wasn’t on her level submission wise.
But it was a good time to enter, she decided. Turning towards the ringside, she’d almost exit the guerrilla position.. before stopping.
[Kate’s gonna likely be there, you know.]
A voice in her head was ringing. Taunting.
At the thought of the woman that was her good friend, Cassandra hesitated, hand on the doorknob. She’d clench it up, lightly biting her lip.
[She’s gonna be mad, you know.
Or worse, concerned. You don’t deserve her being concerned, Cassandra.
You should just quit, Cassie. Go, crawl back in your cocoon. You’re not wanted there anymore.
You’re not good enough, Cass. ]
Krrrkkk- a sudden sharp noise blew her mind out of itself, as she’d look down at the doorknob. It was crushed in her grip, her knuckles white. She’d mutter an apology to the terrified aide, before walking outside and exhaling. She’d take her water bottle and slosh the contents over her head, the cold water causing her to shiver a little bit.
“It’s my fault.. and I’ll face it. I’ll be better.”
Without letting the Voice retaliate, Cass left the guerrila position to the ringside. A mixed reception greeted her. Her own fans weren’t sure what to make of her new look, her new persona. The question on everyone’s lips was.. why? And the answer was in Cassie’s heart. She didn’t even look at the crowd, her eyes firmly shut. But she knew the walk by heart at this point, breaking into a run and taking a leap onto the apron, one foot on the canvas and one hand on the ropes. She’d press a hand to her lips, blowing a silent kiss to nobody in particular.. and then leap up into the ring, ready to face her opponent.

Re: Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto
It was high time for Hoshiko to get her start in LAW, it took a lot longer than she'd like to get everything sorted and schedule the match. She was quite content to take whatever would fall into her hands, it was frankly quite exciting to not really have much of a say in that, a gamble of sorts and its outcome... well, it was certainly a surprise, she just didn't quite know what sort just yet. She tried talking to Kate some days back about it, given she was aware that she and Cassandra knew each other but her sister was not too keen to share, the excuse of having a training session almost all hours of the past few days from anyone else would definitely be bullshit just to avoid a conversation but with Kate, there was a fifty-fifty chance she really was busy with that. Either way, she'd be walking into this as good as blind on her sister's thoughts on the whole thing, which bugged her a little but that's how things went with them sometimes.
Added baggage was not exactly welcome but it wasn't exactly new nor realistically avoidable. If you do this sort of thing long enough, you'll eventually come head to head with someone like or as in this case, someone that's important to you does and while what happens in the ring should stay there, it didn't always end up that way. Only time would tell how exactly this would go and there was not much of that left.
Making her way to the stage, Hoshiko waited for her music to drop before getting onto the stage at a brisk pace. Placing a hand above her eye line in an exaggerated gesture of looking at the size of the crowd, catching a patch of purple and green in the crowd, not really being able to restrain herself, she'd grin wide and energetically point to where they were before passing her hand over the rest of the crowd to at least attempt to be innocuous. After that she'd make her way to the ring, jumping onto the apron and sliding between the ropes before approaching her opponent. "So, you're the Cassandra I heard so much about!" She said with a friendly smile before making a gesture from the top of her head towards where Cass's would be "Is everyone around here so tall?"

Re: Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto
Of course, added baggage was fairly unavoidable. But to have it on your debut was a stroke of bad luck- not that Cass cared. She may have spied a hint of green and purple in the stands, specially from the pointing of Hoshiko, and it only spoiled her mood even more.
But Kate’s sister was interesting. Opening one eye to look down at her- and that was kinda a shock, she was against someone smaller than her. By a few inches too, she actually looked down on her a little bit. But man was she stacked, muscular and powerful.
It normally would have gotten her excited to fight. But today, no. The voice in her head.. it was raring up again.
[Cassandra, they’re watching. They’re gonna watch you hurt their sister..
.. or they’re gonna watch you get beaten by their sister.. how embarrassing for you. You should just quit, Cassie.
You should leave the figh-]
Cass slapped her cheeks to clear her head, blinking the fog out of her eyes. Hoshiko was in front of her. H-heard so much about? What did they say? She didn’t think she’d get bad mouthed but then again, she didn’t suspect Alizeh or Kate would. Only good things, which could have been worse.. Cass had an image to maintain for her now.
A hand raised up, gripping Hoshiko’s as she compared the height, leaving her to speak in barely a whisper as she forced a bit of an awkward handshake.
“I.. d-don’t think I’m particularly tall. You’re just.. vertically stunted.”

Hosiko looked a bit confused as her hand was grasped but quickly caught on and returned the handshake only to then be blindsighted by the other woman's reply to what she just said. She blinked twice in bemusement 'did she take it literally?' she wondered
"Wow... alright, not a fan of humour I take it?" She asked rhetorically as a response, not really sure what else to say on the matter. "Pleasentries aside, I hope you came prepared." She said in a more matter-of-fact tone though still with a smile "My sister might like you but I still fully plan on kicking your butterfly butt into next week." She finished before taking a step back and going into her corner to wait for the bell to start their fight

Re: Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto
Cass lightly grunted in response, stretching her arms with one eye still remaining shut, giving Hoshiko a subtle view of her toned but powerful biceps. She’d roll her shoulder a little bit, not properly able to resist teasing her just a smidge for her taunts.
“Should have said butt-erfly, silly.”
She’d look her up and down, watching the woman stare her down from the corner. Cassie clenched her fingers gently, hearing the bell ring. This time around, she wasn’t waiting for anyone to take the offensive but herself.
“And.. sorry, but I don’t think so-“
She’d say. Cass moved in for the kill, not exactly running but not exactly walking either. She had an unorthodox walking style, favouring her right leg over the left, throwing most analytic opponents off balance. But.. Hoshi was smaller than her, and maybe that was a good thing. Suddenly dropping down, Cass jetted forwards, dropping to one knee as she’d thrust an elbow deep into Hoshiko’s chin, using her free hand to push the elbow faster and harder to clean her clock!

Re: Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto
"So you have a sense of humour after all!" Hoshiko said, throwing up her hands in faux frustration at her opponent deciding to exercise her wit only now, though she had to admit, butt-erfly would have been a better choice of words. They weren't here to fence with words though and the bell would soon signal the time for words was over.
Watching her opponent charge in, Hoshiko too took a few steps forward to get out of the corner though she stayed cautious and focused more on what her opponent was doing now. Her movements were fast and a bit more chaotic than usual but it didn't matter much for Hoshi. Everybody makes plans for their fight only for everything to go to shit the first time they get hit, so to her, there was no point. Fighting shouldn't require a plan any more than taking a breath did.
So when she saw her opponent drop down, what might have given pause to someone else simply prompted her to an immediate reaction, making her shift to the side to avoid the elbow aimed at her chin by a few inches, something she might not have had time to do if Cass attacked immediately instead of taking the knee first. Then, using the angle she just got, she'd throw an elbow of her own at her opponent's head, taking a step further to the side and trying to push kick Cass into a corner. "Give me some credit will you? You ain't gonna hit me if you telegraph so wide."

Re: Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto
“Just a little bit-“ said Cassandra dryly, the ghost of a smile fading across her face and fading away in the same instant. Cassandra noted that she had some credit, she had power and technique able to read up on her unorthodox move- even if it was telegraphed as she had said.
But Cassandra had one thing for sure, even if she didn’t pack as much muscle as Hoshi did- lightning fast reflexes. Her palms locked in together to block the elbow Hoshi sent her way, and while it did sting, she’d take it while on a knee, rendering the attack moot with a soft “unf!” Escaping her lips.
“ “My apologises, your combat highness. I obviously should not hold back in face of your awe inspiring figure and skills.”
She teased a little bit, unable to resist messing with her. But Cass was ready for the kick, keeping herself steady as she’d shift to the side, taking the kick that barely grazed her waist.. and moving in, locking her arm around Hoshi’s leg and keeping it close to her.
And then she swept her leg, banging Hoshiko down right into the canvas! Normally Cass would have been one to continue the assault with a vicious strike, but instead.. she’d turn around, keeping her grip on her foot and lifting it right up into the air, standing and twisting her ankle mercilessly!

Re: Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto
Hoshiko's plan did not go as smoothly as it could but when she felt her leg was grabbed, she couldn't help but smile. "Much better." She said, sticking out her tongue and leaning forward as she already expected what would be next. Having her leg kicked out from under her, Hoshi would extend her arms forward to grab Cass's neck as she was falling to keep her close as she tried hooking her captured leg behind the woman's back and as she was hitting the ground, she'd throw the other limb over the woman's shoulder to meet with the other one and wrap tightly around Cassandra's neck with a triangle choke.
She still couldn't help but groan as her back hit the floor, she was more focused on having a quick comeback than protecting herself which ended up with a bump bigger than such should be but it was a trade she was willing to take as she'd try bringing her opponent's head deeper into the choke, which necessarily involved pulling Cassandra's head into her crotch. Not being one to skip a beat on something like that she'd comment "You're looking quite nice down there, you know..." As she tried to ignore the pain in her back.

Re: Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto
Cass lightly grunted a little bit, suddenly feeling Hoshiko's arms around her neck. She was close and this position did leave Cass in a vulnerable spot, bent over with her butt in the air, fingers clenched a little bit as a triangle sleeper throttled around her neck, leaving her gasping a little bit. She'd grunt softly, noticing her proximity. But Cass was calm, or.. she seemed calm. The tightness of her fingers betrayed the stress she was feeling, but the small flush that went and crossed her face. It made her look at Hoshi when she commented like that.
".. n-nuh uh.. kate should wash your mouth with soap."
She'd say with a small grunt. Luckily she had a leg in her control still, and she wasnt trying to let it go over to her neck or it was likely over for her. The woman lightly twisted a little bit, before edging Hoshiko and herself closer to the turnbuckle. She seemed to want a rope break.. but..
Instead, a firm hand gripped Hoshi's outfit and another rested on her hip. Cass swung herself backwards, a feat she normally wouldnt be able to do in this position but Hoshi was lighter than her usual foes.. Cass swung Hoshi into a suplex like motion, aiming to bang her head right into the turnbuckle with a forceful slam!

Re: Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto
Hoshiko would chuckle a bit at Cass's reply as she tried to readjust her position and bush the hold further to a rather minimal and small progress. "Oh come on, since when is complementing someone a bad thing?" She said, noticing Cass twist towards the ropes, while she'd have to let go of the hold if she did, that also meant a possible opening for another approach and so Hoshiko waited.
Just then, instead of the rope break, she was punched into the air, not expecting that and with her position as it was, she could do nothing to stop the movement once it had begun, only extending her arms to the sides to try and use the ropes to slow her fall down and soften the impact. If it helped, she couldn't tell as her head slammed into the middle turnbuckle and bounced off. "Ghua..." She groned, siting in front of the corner, rubbing her head while her other hand rested on the ropes, trying to help herself slowly get up.
