Tonights little affair was a bit more simpler then some of there others, a standard match rather then one for her belt. This suited her just fine as she felt more people needed to earn there way towards that and plus Kyoko could still prove why she was the best thing around regardless of if she was playing her own game or beating an opponent at something else. And a Standard match gave her much more room to breathe on that then usual as she intended to show her opponent tonight that she was something to not be trifled with.

Coming out to her music, her title tightly hugging her waist Kyoko strutted her way down the ramp, a smile of confidence on her face regardless of how the crowd perceived her, if anything there jealousy made it all the better that she was the best thing around. Entering the ring and gently putting the belt in the corner Kyoko walked around the ring waiting for the lucky girl of the hour. The person shed elevate to her greatness for a brief moment before snuffing out just as quick.

Re: Lucy vs Kyoko
"Thirty seconds, Miss White!"
Lucy pried her eyes away from the mirror, where she studied her hands as they wound their way through her hair to get it tied into place, long enough to glance at the man who stepped to the edge of the dressing room. "Okay! I'll be ready!", she assured, before she turned back to finish with the delicate work and give the rest of her one long glance, pulling at the side of her top here and adjusting angle of her bottoms there. She thought she looked cute, and when she was going to be in front of so many people, there was no excuse for not trying to look cute...
So...so...many people. Their cries reached Lucy's ears, and she glanced towards the arena proper with a touch of the butterflies.
No, all would be fine. She had told herself many times, once she had agreed to her contract, that if anything got in her way, it would not be nerves. Confidence would be her greatest ally now that she was here. Resolved, the White heir gave herself a fierce scowl into the mirror. She was ready and as fearsome as anyone here!
Lucy would be ready for the crowd, too. Her countenance shifted from fiesty to all smiles before she emerged, bathed in the arena lights, hands held high in the air...
...and hers was a very uncertain reception. Cheers, yes, but people who didn't sound like they knew what they were cheering for. But Lucy wouldn't let her enthusiasm wane, and she started down the ramp, grinning and slapping any hands that were offered to her. She knew that management wanted her lineage to be some big secret to be revealed once she won a couple of matches...so they had limited the hype they had created around her debut. That was all fine with Lucy, since she didn't want to be completely defined by being the daughter of Sherry White, and once she got those wins, they would cheer for her, anyway!
She continued to give her attention to the crowd once she got to the ring and hopped inside, blowing them a litany of kisses. Rather than be nervous...the presence of so many people excited her more, instead, and Lucy felt like she could take on the world.
Right up until she turned and looked at Kyoko Akan for the first time, and reality set in; she had to beat this woman. One with a belt around her waist, that she had defended. Lucy considered her in silence a moment. A little taller, the same as...most everyone in her weight class save for a few. Toned. Pretty. And another one that would look like a wrestler when someone passed her on the street.
If Lucy looked at her for too long, she would lose before either of them had thrown the first punch. Instead, Lucy flashed her a thin smile. "Hey! Let's have a good match, alright?"

Re: Lucy vs Kyoko
It felt like an eternity of waiting was around after the fact. The long minute between her entrance and the next one feeling longer as the Queen grew impatient. Though finally the music started playing as a rather perky blonde took center stage. All smiles and niceness to a crowd that gave her a rather subdued but still positive reception. Kyoko tapped the mat waiting for her to be done with the theatrics and actually get in the ring and when she did she saw the girls smiles didnt end with just the crowd as she kept on looking at her and wishing her well...as if the best wrestler this company had actually needed such a thing. And she was staring at her a bit too long for her tastes.
"Right..well i know ill deliver without too much effort. A good match depends on you being able to last more then two seconds with me." At this Kyoko looked her up and down her eyes gauging her body. She seemed fit enough, skinny and certainly cute Kyoko could take that away from her but where was the substance? "Which you seem to be lacking the necessary gusto to pull off if im being honest. But dont be intimidated. If i become too much i promise to end things quick...provided your smart enough to stay down when it becomes clear your outmatched." She added getting in the blondes face as she stared the blonde down, looking for any kind of fear or fire in them.

Re: Lucy vs Kyoko
Lucy's eyebrows arched higher...and higher...and higher.
Ooooohkay. Am I wrestling a...supervillain, tonight?
It took a great deal of effort to keep from asking the question aloud. Instead, Lucy tried her best to keep the pleasant expression on her face (and mostly failed) while the woman stepped up to her like a prancing peacock. Several times, she blinked, stalling until she could think of a...dignified way she could respond to a woman spouting Saturday morning cartoon-level threats at her while thousands of people watched them stand and converse.
She supposed it was supposed to be intimidating, but it struck her as more obnoxious than anything. Lucy stifled a sigh, but nearly wore the same on her soft features nonetheless. "Well...we'll have to see what happens, won't we?" There. That was the best she could do in response to Kyoko's...highly dramatic spiel.
Apparently sensing the curious tension, the ref slowly crept up to them, waiting for an excuse to gently urge them to separate and start the match.

Re: Lucy vs Kyoko
Kyoko watched Lucy waiting to see how the blonde reacted. Though she didnt see much in terms of fear, more plainness which was definelty an odd sight before Lucy chose to speak, and honestly it was nothing to write home about either. So far this girl just seemed to be a pretty face with no substance, no sense of flair, and no skills. Quite disappointing. The Queen scoffed as she backed up as if Lucy had already failed some evaluation, which in her mind she had.
"IT shouldn't take too long by the looks of you." She said backing up getting to her corner as she pressed her back against it before moving forward. Once it finally rang Kyoko moved in closer and neared Lucy as quickly as possible as she sought to remove any space between them before attempting to start showing her she meant business by locking up and pushing into Lucy in an attempt to force her to bend to her will.

Re: Lucy vs Kyoko
She kept going!
An incredulous Lucy studied Kyoko, trying to interpret what had just happened. Lucy had to deal with some wrestlers from her local promotion in the past who had tried to intimidate her, yes, but none of them had been so...repetitive or persistent. Hadn't Kyoko used the same trite threat on her six times, with different wording? Lucy supposed it was meant to rile her, but it only confused her.
With the ref urging Lucy back towards a corner, the White heir tried to forget about it. To warm her blood, she rolled her neck and her shoulders and bounced a couple of times, earning a couple of whoops from the front row. Lucy glanced, only briefly, in their direction...but she didn't necessarily see them, or think about why they would be making calls at her.
Instead, a creeping sense of...pressure started to creep into the blonde's head, as she glanced again to Kyoko, the crowd, and the lights. Lucy couldn't let it bother her, however. This was the moment she wanted, wasn't it? With that in mind, and her cheerful countenance returning in part, Lucy bounced into position at the sound of the bell...
...and was met headlong by a rapidly approaching Kyoko, and her arms raised high, leveling with the other woman's shoulders, so she could defend herself once she figured out what Kyoko was trying to do.
And what she was trying to do was find a lock-up. Lucy could tell by how her arms lifted. That probably wasn't a good option for the blonde...especially when she didn't know how strong Kyoko would prove to be. Thinking fast, Lucy denied her by swatting her hands away and using quick footwork to shift to the right.
Right, good, the moment she wanted. Already dodged something. Perfect! Smiling at her success, the blonde charged forward a perky bounce, wanting to throw her shoulder into Kyoko to get her off-balance! "Hyah!"

Re: Lucy vs Kyoko
With any words she might have gotten out of the way over and done with the time for action had come. The best part of her job, proving why she was the best was here and looking at the blonde she wondered how she was dealing with things, from her knowledge she hadn't seen her before so she wasnt sure where her skill lied, if she even had any. Either way Kyoko moved in for a lock up, knowing that was the best way to find out for herself. Though Lucy surprised her by being one of the first girls who beat her to the punch on that exchange...mainly in that she kncoked her hands away and didnt grapple at all. Instead charging her and slamming her shoulder into her body.
"Rnngh!" Kyoko was surprised by the move but her instincts took over. Even as the girl rammed into her Kyoko's first action was to sprawl her legs jumping back as she pressed into the girl to keep her legs from being taken out from under her. From there she tried to grab and restrain Lucy assuming her arms could even get the right grip on the girl from her position, if so she would hold her there and attempt to try and get a good position to fight from. If not she would push and try to get back to her free to start this exchange over.

Re: Lucy vs Kyoko
The familiar thunp of her bicep and shoulder crashing into Kyoko's sturdy frame gave Lucy a rush, as it always did. It was this part of wrestling that she loved and never expected to, getting to throw herself into other people to knock them to the ground and feel like a million bucks when the crowd cheered her. The White heir glanced past her opponent to stare at the bouncing crowd behind her, offering them the beginnings of a grin...
Except when Lucy kept moving forward to step past Kyoko, she found that her opponent was not knocked to the ground. No...her opponent was leaning into her, and Lucy felt arms snake around her body and a strong frame pressed against hers. Her eyes widened. Sure, there were women who hadn't gone down to Lucy's shoulder charges before...but they had been much bigger, wider than Kyoko.
With her leading arm hooked, a worried Lucy struck out with the other one, trying to drive it down onto Kyoko's shoulder to get the other woman off before something much worse happened. "No, stop! Off!"

Re: Lucy vs Kyoko
Though she was able to control the situation stopping Lucy from taking her down Kyoko needed to act as quickly as possible. Lucy's moment of panic made her more confident she had it, yet sitting around never did her any favors in a match and she wasnt about to be embarrassed by a rookie a second time in a row. Pressing into her Kyoko would try and walk over to Lucy's side while keeping the necessary pressure on her back to keep her from getting free. Feeling her other hand trying to stop her Kyoko felt the need to act and attempted to drive her elbow into Lucy's back.
"Your not in a position to be giving out orders little girl." Kyoko taunted as she sought to keep her in her place at least until she could get behind her. If things worked out she would hopefully fully move behind her and try and wrap her arms around her waist trying to hoist her up to her feet to slam back down to the floor, if only to show off her control from that spot.

Re: Lucy vs Kyoko
Lucy fought to be in a position where she could give orders by way of knocking Kyoko away from her, but as her elbow met with air as the powerful woman worked her way around to the blonde's side, she didn't think she was going to get it. In fact, she didn't know that she was going to be so much as moving if Kyoko kept a grip on her like she had. Still the blonde fought, clenching her teeth and swinging a palm around to try and catch Kyoko on the back of the head...
The elbow stopped her from trying a second time when it stung her back, and instead, that palm reached back to grasp at her back in some effort to make sure it didn't get hit again.
But the strong arms coiled around her waist instead, and before Lucy could press her hands down to pry them off like her mom had taught her, and before she was hit with proper worry over her predicament, for that matter, Lucy was lifted and thrust back downwards, her feet kicking the air.
But they landed on the mat, as Lucy gave out an "Ugh!" from the jostling; her dexterity was good for something!
And she swung an elbow back, aimed around where Kyoko's head should have been, as soon as she realized she mostly had her balance. "Off!", she yelped again.
