Gemma Faraday vs. Hikaru Sawazaki

Hikaru was in her wrestling attire walking through the hallways. She hadn't had a match in a while but she was training hard doing her best to try to keep ready. She needed a win in a big way and she was focused tonight. She was going up against a British flyer who she felt she could match up well with. Hikaru was going to use her technique and slight weight advantage as best she could. At least that was her game plan.

Her music began to play and she came out waving to the crowd and smiling as she walked down the ramp. Hikaru held her arms out and took in the moderate cheers she got from the crowd. The Japanese wrestler walked up the ring steps then climbed through the ropes, holding her arms out and doing a lap around the ring before settling into her corner. She was focused, driven and ready to wrestle tonight. She was going to try to ground Gemma and then keep hold of her to maneuver her around using holds and grappling as often as possible tonight.

Gemma took one last moment to check out her ring gear in the mirror. The self-made steampunk gear fit just as well as it ever did, making her smile. Giving one last tug to the belt strap beneath her bust, Gemma nodded to the production crew, who hit her music right as she burst through the curtains to reemerge for the LAW fans!

White-hot sparklers framed Gemma as she emerged, so that when she posed with her arm held high in the air she was surrounded by steam. The young woman bounced down the ramp with an energetic step, her pigtails bouncing around as she high-fived fans and grinned ear to ear.

Gemma leapt up to the apron, then swung around to hop over the top rope and mount the turnbuckle. Gemma licked a finger, then raised it up overhead as she ‘tested the air’ for her high-flying antics to come. Then, Gemma pumped her arm, flexing a slender bicep as she winked to the fans, and leapt off the top turnbuckle. Bouncing on her heels, Gemma waved to the fans as her music died down, feeling ready to fight. Turning, the Air Raid Siren regarded Hikaru, sizing the young woman up.

Before anything else, Gemma approached the center of the ring and extended a hand. This was her big return to LAW, and Gemma wasn’t going to let the pressure keep her from being respectful. She wanted to start this one off right …

Hikaru watched Gemma come bouncing out with all the pomp and circumstance of a returning wrestler. She smiled and nodded to Gemma as she entered the ring extending a hand. "Good luck." Hikaru gave a small bow and shook her hand before backing off, tugging on the top rope before the bell rang. Hikaru was focused but she was going to be polite, glad to see Gemma acting like a good sport. Hikaru was going to stick to her gameplan though as for her to pick up a win for the first time in a while she would have to ruin Gemma's return.

As soon as the bell rang Hikaru would move in and circle Gemma before lunging in to lock her up in a grapple to kick things off in this matchup!

Gemma kept a watchful eye on Hikaru, who seemed respectful and dignified in the pre-match greetings. However, one of them was going to have to win, and Gemma had no doubt this girl wanted it. Gemma just had to want it more.

The bell rang, and Hikaru wasted no time lunging into a lock up. Gemma clasped arms with her for an elbow and collar tie up, but she didn’t stay there for long. With a quick shift, Gemma tried to snap on a side headlock, wrapping her arm around Hikaru’s head and pressing her face into Gemma’s ample chest. She worked the hold for a moment, grinding Hikaru’s face into her chest, smothering her out a little before twisting her hips, flipping over, and trying to slam the poor girl into the mat with a side headlock takedown!

"Ngh... ugh!" Hikaru groaned as Gemma showed off surprising grappling prowess she didn't expect from an explosive high flyer! Hikaru struggled and tried to escape only to land hard on the canvas! "UGH!"

She kicked the mat and struggled against Gemma's grip to try to power her way out but it wasn't working. Instead Hikaru attempted to buck her hips up and clamp her legs around Gemma's head hoping to trap her in a headscissor to counter her way out of her current situation! She was off to a poor start but she was trying to salvage this situation as best she could!

Gemma worked the hold, grinding Hikaru’s face between the mat and her bust as she worked Hikaru over in the hold. However, the Japanese wrestler wasn’t going to just take it. Eventually, her legs would find their way around Gemma’s neck, trying to pry her off and get her in a hold.

Instead of fighting it, Gemma decided to keep things rolling. Releasing the headlock, Gemma shifted with the leg scissor and rolled over Hikaru’s body. Bracing her palms against the mat, Gemma thrust her arms to pop her head out of the headscissor and kip up to her feet! The crowd clapped appreciatively, but Gemma Faraday wasn’t done. The Air Raid Siren followed her escape up by swinging hard with one of her chunky steampunk boots, aiming a kick for the side of Hikaru’s head!

Hikaru was left in shock again as her counter was easily countered! Before she could rise the kick smashed her skull sending her head whipping to the side! "ARGH!" She howled as she flopped down to the mat in a heap cradling her head in her arms while rolling around on the canvas kicking in pain. This was hardly the start she promised herself that she worked for, and now she was paying for being caught entirely off guard at the opening bell!

Gemma watched as her opponent thrashed around in pain. Part of her wanted to give the girl a chance to breathe, but she knew how easily things could get away from her if she wasn’t careful. So, Gemma planted her feet on either side of the writhing Hikaru, bent over at the waist and wrapped hear arms around the girl’s waist. With a moan of effort, Gemma started to pull Hikaru off the mat and up into the air! With a grunt of effort, legs holding strong despite the effort this display of power was taking, Gemma took one heavy step before hurling Hikaru down to the canvas with a hard slam!

Hikaru was really surprised as the flyer grabbed her and deadlift her off the mat! Hikaru shook her head as the slightly smaller Brit heft her up then sent her crashing down to the mat! "ARGH!" Hikaru howled as she bucked and writhed in pain, kicking the mat as she let out a moan of agony. She had to do something but right now her back was throbbing and even sitting up was a bit beyond her ability. The start of the match was awful and a disaster for the Japanese grappler....

Bouncing off the mat with the impact of the slam, Gemma pumped her fists and listened to the surprise cheers of the crowd. As much as Gemma loved the acrobatic, high-flying moves, she did get a thrill out of landing the odd, classic body slam in her matches.

Not wanting to rest on her laurels, however, Gemma reached down and grabbed Hikaru. With one hand on her arm and the other tucked behind the girl’s head, Gemma guided Hikaru up, and pulled her up to her feet. From there, Gemma would whip the Japanese grappler to the ropes, brace herself for her to rebound and run back at her, before leaping up to the air to try and hit a high dropkick!
