Lyra had gotten used to the fact that she would be placed in these types of matches and she felt the universe tell her she was getting close to Apex itself. Lyra had taken on Sanae Saitou and Chigusa Yukki before so this would be her third kind of this match. The Openweight Championship hung in the balance of this series and while the universe hadn’t confirmed Lyra’s total victory for the title, she wouldn’t be deterred in wrestling her heart out for the championship. She came out to the stage as green pyro exploded up at the ramp as she threw out pink-beaded necklaces to the crowd as she got cheered heavily. Lyra nodded to the crowd and fixed her headband coming closer down the ramp.
Lyra took her time going up the steel steps as she closed her eyes and consulted with the universe before getting in through the middle and bottom ropes. Lyra went to a corner waving to the crowd as she began taking off her pink dress folding it neatly to set it on the canvas and she turned around awaiting her chosen opponent.
Helena was backstage looking st this woman walking towards the ring. "What a wispy little woman.... this will be too easy." Hekena said with a smirk.
It was not long before Helena herself came out to a cascade of loud booing from the crowd. The tall Canadian was all smiles, mocking the fans as she held her arms out swaying her hips as she sauntered her way down the ramp. She grinned and looked dismissively at her opponent barely acknowledging her after climbing through the ropes to enter the ring.
"What a waste of time. Darling you will be destroyed in record time tonight." Helena said, sounding every bit as condescending as possible.
Lyra did not acknowledge Helena as she simply closed her eyes taking in the vision for the match ahead. Due to this woman’s attitude, cockiness, and aura, it wouldn’t be an easy match so the fortune teller had to be on guard. The referee called for the bell as Lyra glared ahead coming to the middle clasping her hands together.
Helena saw Lyra just standing there with her eyes closed. "What sort of meditative bullshit is this?" Helena said with a laugh. Right as the bell rang she lashed out sending a fast toe kick to the abdomen of Lyra, before trying to kick at her knee again afterward to get her down on a knee in front of Helena. "Bow down to your superiors your air headed fool!" Helena shouted as she went on the attack early hoping to establish herself as the dominant woman between the ropes.
Lyra winced as she went on a knee after Helena struck it and the heel started gloating about how she needed to bend the knee to her superiors. However, that’s exactly what the universe predicted and Lyra smirked before launching a Headbutt to Helena’s gut. She then got back on her feet going for three consecutive European Uppercuts.
Helena thought she had Lyra right where she wanted her.... but that was not the case! Helena took a headbutt to the abdomen as she dodged her kick leaving Helena staggering back, only for her head to snap back up from an uppercut! Helena stumbled as a second one hit and in her dazed vision she saw the third coming.
"Insolent bitch!" Helena shouted blocking it and even though she was staggered she tried to shove Lyra away to create distance between them to allow herself to recover.
Helena saw Lyra coming but wasn't fast enough. She took the dropkick and fell into the ropes, falling over but grabbing the top rope. Helena was hurting and did fall bit she landed on the apron on her feet. She was still holding the rope rope, ready to shoulder thrust Lyra when she got close!
Lyra would smirk going after Helena as she was left reeling on the apron, but Helena thrusted a shoulder into her gut making Lyra cough out and go down on her knees!
Helena saw Lyra drop and the tall Canadian heel smiled blowing a kiss to the crowd before looking back at the stunned Lyra. Helena grabbed the top rope and vaulted over aiming a dropkick at Lyra's chest!
