It was getting to be that time of year again. Halloween. A favorite holiday for anyone who liked festivities, dressing up, or anything spooky - and LAW was eager to celebrate that too. Every year, the week of Halloween was set for a special show, where the arena was decked out with cobwebs, mist, and gravestones, the fans attended in costume, and the matches themselves boasted many a seasonal theme. Even the bouts that didn't feature any special stipulations still encouraged the participants to dress up for the occasion, and this next match was one such match.

But to Yukino Fuyumi, that meant something more than just holiday spirit. This was her first match in LAW, and she stood backstage, twiddling her thumbs nervously to try and calm down her racing heart. She had never been in a real match before, and for all she knew, this could go horribly wrong. But she had her own reasons. She'd had a long history with cosplay and costume design, but that wasn't why she had really chosen this day to debut.

As she had requested, this match would be against another newcomer to the company - Nashi Dragneel, who just so happened to be her childhood friend and fellow idol. They had parted ways when Nashi left to train in wrestling, but now that Yukino had decided to take up training herself, it was finally time for the two of them to meet again. And when that happened, Yukino wanted it to be special - which was why she had hatched a plan to come to the ring in costume in order to surprise Nashi. The people backstage seemed willing to make it work. All that was left was for it to happen - and Yukino just hoped that when she came face to face with her old friend after so long, she wouldn't be left at a loss for words...

"Ladies and gentlemen!" called the ring announcer, Misa Otomura. "We've got a special announcement for our next match! The next woman to enter the ring...is a complete mystery! She's requested that her height, weight, hometown, and even her name be made secret, and I'm no one to argue that! Could it be a champion? Could it be someone completely new? I have no idea, folks!"

The fans turned to the entrance ramp as a fog poured in from the curtains, and a figure in a black hooded robe appeared atop it all. She emerged from the mist, only to stop there, keeping her head down and her face obscured by shadow. Walking slowly and carefully, she approached the ring, leaving many fans that she passed whispering to each other about just who this mystery wrestler might be. The steady, unwavering pace she took added to the eerie effect - which was fortunate, because no one knew that it was really just Yukino being too nervous to rush into this match when she had so much riding on it going off smoothly!

The black-robed figure standing motionless in the middle of the ring, their head down and their face in shadows, must have been an imposing sight indeed to any onlookers. But none of them realized that within that robe, Yukino's heart was pounding, and she twiddled her thumbs anxiously to try and calm her nerves. She hadn't seen Nashi in so long - what was she going to say to her, and was there anything she could say that would be enough? What if Nashi was mad at her for abandoning her when she was at the mercy of so many fierce and ruthless foes? What if she didn't have the right response prepared for a moment as big as this one and just ended up looking like an idiot? The possibilities ran through her mind too quick for her to think through. Her instincts told her to turn and run out of the ring, but she knew it was too late - as a matter of fact, Nashi was already on her way down to the ring!

Yukino took in a gulp as she saw the girl heading down the ramp. She knew how much Nashi loved Halloween, and how much fun the two had designing each others' costumes every year, so she was sure this would be a match she was excited for. But when she saw her marching toward the ring with a stern look on her face, her heart sank. Maybe she'd done the wrong thing. Maybe in trying to position herself as some mystery opponent, she had put Nashi on guard, and ruined her mood on what was supposed to be a day of happiness. She hugged her arms closer to her sides, glancing back over her shoulder. Yukino was getting thoughts of running away - but just then, Nashi spoke up, and she was jolted back to her senses, turning to face her foe. There was no running away now. Nashi had confronted her, and she had no choice but to say her piece.

Stepping forward, Yukino tried to take in slow, deep breaths to calm her nerves as she reached for the microphone. There was no turning back. Yukino had to do what needed to be done.

"N-Nashi Dragneel..." she spoke into the microphone, doing the best spooky voice she could manage even when it was cracking with anxiety. "The time has come for you..."

Then, the figure's arms rose. A pair of hands reached up to grab at the hood...

...and pulled it down, to reveal Yukino's bright-eyed and smiling face just before she threw herself toward Nashi to pull her tightly into a hug! "...and I to finally have a match together-!"

Nashi had a face of confidence and determination, she wasn’t going to allow a heel to embarrass her in a match with these rule set. When she gave the microphone to her opponent’s hand, she crossed her hands wondering what she’d do. However her eyes lit up as her opponent began to speak, even though they were putting on a voice it sounded familiar…. “Is it you….?” Nashi asked in a confused tone of voice until her opponent revealed herself…..


Nashi couldn’t believe what she was seeing ,Yukino her childhood best friend is facing her on law.”Yukino…. ITS YOU!!!!” Nashi ran up and hugged her tightly”I can’t believe we’re about to compete against each other!, wait what happened to you’re hair?” She titled her head in confusion before backing off, not only to give her friend space but also because the bell could ring at any second.

At once, all the tension in the air broke. Now, Yukino knew there was nothing she needed to fear. The smile that lit up across Nashi's face was proof of that enough, telling her that she was happy to see her again. All of a sudden, it was as though they had never left. Here they were, two old friends, side by side. Destiny had drawn them back together, and they couldn't be more pleased to see it.

"It is!!" Yukino cheered, hugging Nashi tightly. As she pulled back from her, her eyes began to water with tears of joy. Not only to finally have her best friend back, but to know she was happy. She felt like an idiot to have thought it could have gone any differently, but that didn't matter now. Far stronger was the happiness that could only come from knowing that what had been an inseperable duo were ready to keep going strong, and as she looked into Nashi's eyes, a wide smile broke across the white-haired girl's face. "I'm so glad to be back, Nashi...I really missed you a lot..."

Then, Nashi brought up her hair. Yukino brought a hand up to run it through her hair, and she paused a moment, realizing that the last time she and Nashi had seen each other, it was when Yukino still wore her hair long. It was, no doubt, a big change for her; she had kept her hair the same way for all of her idol career, and it had been among her top-ranked features when such discussions came up. It hit her now that this would be her first time revealing her new look to the public, and for a moment, she bit her lip nervously. What if Nashi didn't like it, she thought - or what if the fans didn't? She knew she was taking a lot of risks in coming to LAW, and she just hoped they'd pay off. But she knew there was no turning back now.

"Well, er..." she began, "I saw your first match against Astrid...and I couldn't help but see how sad you were to lose your hair. You've always stood up for me when I needed it before, and I wanted to do the same for you, so...I decided that if you had to get your hair cut short, so would I, just so we could be in this together!" She bit her lip, blushing at the thought of Nashi's reaction. "...do you think it looks okay?"

*DING DING DING*

Just then, hearing the sound of the bell, Yukino was shaken back to her senses with a yelp - she realized just then that she'd lost track of the time in catching up with Nashi, but now she had to act! It was time for her very first match to begin - and, while she wasn't exactly ready, she knew she had to do her best!

"N-No time to talk! I hope you're ready, Nashi!" With that, Yukino grabbed her robe and tossed it off, revealing a short orange and black dress underneath it - and she took a witch's hat from Misa, placing it on her head to complete the look. Then, she sank down into a stance, bending at the knees and raising her hands. It was time to get serious!

Nashi would listen to Yukino’s story about why she cut her hair. When she heard why she did, Nashi had a tear go down her eyes”Yukino that’s so sweet off you…..” Nashi then realized a crowd of people were watching and wiped her eyes off her face. However before anything else can be said or done, the bell has rung”sorry Yukino but I got a match to win” she said with a determined tone. She was impressed with Yukino’s witch costume and ran up to put get in a lock up with her.

“Well Yukino when I win I’ll wear that adorable witch hat” she winked to her bestie before aiming to shove her back into the corner.

Yukino nodded her head toward Nashi, and her smile grew wider as she watched the change come over her friend's face, with her eyes welling up with tears. She could feel a heat rising in her body, and at first she thought it was a blush - she didn't know if she had gone too far and looked overly clingy, or that she was going out of her way for Nashi when she didn't even know if it was what Nashi wanted from her. But then, she realized, it wasn't shame that was causing such a reaction in her. It was a profound sense of warmth and welcome, of knowing how happy Nashi was. Somehow, without even asking, she already knew what Nashi thought. She always did. She already knew they would always be best friends, and that nothing was going to stand in their way - no matter how much time or distance came between them. If there was ever any doubt of it, tonight would be enough to prove they couldn't be stopped. Yukino didn't even know why she thought it could possibly be anything else.

"Thanks, Nashi..." she said. A tear trickled down her own cheek, but her face lit up with a bright smile all the same; a smile that could only come from knowing that the two of them were back.

...of course, when the bell rang, it quickly reminded Yukino that this wasn't a time for tearful reunions - all that could wait until the match was over! From the start, Nashi was quick to charge in, ready to open the action. Yukino realized that she needed to be ready for her - and as Nashi grabbed for her hands, Yukino did the same to her, settling in for the lockup as she bent at the knees to leverage more of her own weight into it!

The pressure between the two of them evened out. Yukino knew this was her first match ever, and she was anxious about letting everyone down if she didn't live up to expectations - but the pressure was even greater to ensure she could live up to Nashi's standards! If she couldn't put up a good enough fight, if she couldn't prove in doing so that she was on Nashi's level, she knew that everything she'd been through in getting herself to this point had all been for naught! Her teeth clenched and her eyes narrowed as she began to skid backward toward the corner - but just then, she felt the urge to turn things around, as she swung her knee upward to aim a strike at Nashi's gut! If that worked, she hoped it would stun her for long enough for the white-haired girl to take a few steps forward, still dragging her by the arm, until she could hurl her into the ropes with an Irish whip!

Nashi was excited for this match, but at the same time worried.This meant having to hurt her best friend and sister. But as they say in show business “the show must go on!” And that it did. Nashi grits her teeth as she and Yukino interlocked fingers with one another.

“Wow Yukino you have an exceedingly tight grip you’ve grown stronger” she giggled to her partner before trying to push her back. She began to smirk as it seemed to have work until “UGH!!!” Nashi bent over gasping for air as Yukino brutally knee kicked her in the gut…
This left Nashi to hurl over straight into the turn buckle”OPMH!” A thud came as she went down to her knees in the corner of the ring.

When Yukino heard Nashi compliment her on how much her strength had grown, the white-haired girl had to blush a little, smiling wider. Over all her time training she had been working hard in order to build up her strength, and now to know that Nashi had taken notice gave her hope that all that work was time well spent - though she also wasn't used to being praised for such things. "Oh, Nashi, you don't need to flatter me about that..." she muttered - but once again, she reminded herself this was no time for reflection! She was excited to be back together with her old friend, and to be getting a chance to shine in the ring for the first time - but what was more important was focusing on the match. If she took her attention off the action for a moment, Nashi could take charge!

Luckily, as soon as Yukino made her move, she could see her efforts were bearing fruit. Her knee sunk into Nashi's midsection, causing her to double over forward as her weight gave way. And from there, she was able to sling her straight across the ring, sending her running into the corner! Nashi landed with a thud, giving Yukino a chance to shake herself out and catch her breath. Then, she saw where Nashi had landed, slumped in the corner - and at first, she stopped, blushing even harder as the implications set in. She recognized what this meant; she'd seen enough of her friend's matches to know. One part of her felt embarrassed just thinking about it, but...she wanted to prove she could match up to Nashi, and that hope emboldened her! Swallowing a gulp, she stepped closer, where she locked her gaze onto the pink-haired girl with a smirk on her face.

"Hey, Nashi..." she teased, "I've been watching your matches, you know. Remember that one with the red-haired boy? Well..." She flashed her friend a wink - just before, mirroring a move Nashi had used in that match, she turned around and shoved her hips backward, pressing them straight into Nashi's face and swaying her hips from side to side to go for a stinkface!

Nashi was stunned in the corner, her back was against the wall leaving her open for an attack. However when Yukino got up there she reminded Nashi of a certain match”Uhhh…. You watch that match?” Nashi preceded to get flustered being reminded of her POW Match against Diluc. That distracted Nashi before being caught in the stinkface from Yukino!!! Nashi’s face move up,down,left and right before Nashi put her arms on Yukino’s cheeks and pushed her forward. After rising up, nashi tried to chase after her friend aiming for a spear to take her friend down to the mat!
