The arena dimmed as Get Over It by OK Go starts to play and Casey Kiernan shuffles out onto the stage, hanging her head with a very distinguishable pout on her lips. She had been called upon to do another match. The choice she was given was do an interview or have a match, and Casey had tried (mildly) to get an interviewee and came up short. Despite having locked herself in one of the conference rooms and turning her phone off to avoid a match, they had broken into it to force her into this match, against her will, in something she thought was "kind of unfair, sort of".
Thus, she was unenthusiastically coming down to the ring, slothing her way down the ramp, almost making an attempt to high five some fans, which was just her being out of reach, holding up her arm with a limp wrist as they barely missed her hand. She was dressed in her usual gear, which was practically the only thing about her that seemed ready. Then, slowly crawling into the ring, Casey rolled a bit before holding a hand out to the referee, who looked positively baffled, pointing at herself. With another wag of her arm, the referee begrudgingly helped Kiernan to her feet, which she did before pulling the referee towards her and stating plainly, "You shouldn't have helped me."
Patting the confused referee on the shoulder, Casey walked her way to the corner, looking like she was about to climb up to the middle rope... before simply giving up and laying over top of it, resting her arms on the top rope, and her face on top of that. It couldn't be heard over the music and noise, but she was groaning quite loudly, so undeniably disappointed to be here.
But... it was that or be fired. And as it turned out, Casey Kiernan at least needed to be employed. So here she was: wrestling a match, which was a step above unemployment for her.
