Audrey Hunter vs. Ophelia Bailey - Desperate Struggle

Unread post by PrinceArjuna332 »

Standard Match
Victory Conditions: Gained by either pin, KO, or submission from the opponent.
Normal rules apply.

Audrey could tell that her progress was there, but it was too slow for her liking. Sure, she had picked up a few wins every now and then, but she needed to frequently win more if she wanted to put herself up to the same level as those who were at the top. For this, she requested the management for another match, and she was slated to face a lightweight named Ophelia Bailey.

She didn't care if she had to face someone who was way lighter than her in terms of weight class. All she cared for was to rack up more wins to improve her win-loss record. She agreed right away, and now, Audrey was getting prepared for her match, clad in her signature white-and-blue leotard as she waited for her cue. Soon, she received her cue and made her entrance as her music was played from the loudspeakers.

As her name was announced, Audrey Hunter walked down the ramp, heading over to the ring where she would be facing this Ophelia. Despite her weight class advantage, she still needed to be careful because a lightweight could still be a dangerous opponent if underestimated. With that in mind, Audrey entered the ring and waited at the corner, directing her gaze at the entrance so that she could wait for her opponent.

Rhythmic claps clasped the audience’s attention to the old-style theme centred around one keyword: Lollipop. The Devil herself skipped from the back, throwing her head shoulder-to-shoulder with the music. She wore a two-piece of tight rose-red, black trim on the edges, thigh-high coloured boots, and a cropped jacket to finish her look. The two horns on her head were polished, as was her smile, split by a cherry sucker that she pulled from her mouth. She stopped at the rampway and raised it into the air, looking up as the crowd welcomed the Ditzy Devil. She grinned, pointing her lollipop at the ring, then beginning to skip down the ramp with this sashay in her hips and exact head-sway when she came out. Her pink ponytail danced as Ophelia took an entire lap around the ring, waving to a few and tossing away her sucker into the crowd. Was that even allowed?

She skipped up those steps, leaping over the second, and making a small dash across the apron to climb the opposite turnbuckle, stick out her tongue, and hold up two digits for a victory-V photoshop. Then she planted both hands on the pad, and jumped, moving her legs inside the ring and bouncing twice, and taking a full spin before landing to face Audrey on the opposite side. Her hands grabbed themselves behind her back, and she looked them up and down. “You’re bigger than what am used to! Someone have it out for me?! That’s ok, honestly, that just means there's more to look at. And a bigger landing zone when I Lollipopsault yah.”

It was clear that the match was quite a mismatch between the two of them in terms of weight class, but even Audrey knew that a heavyweight like her shouldn't underestimate a lightweight like Ophelia. She had her own fair share of losses against lightweights in the past, and she would have to be careful because she didn't want to make her record even worse by losing to another lightweight here in LAW.

Puffing up her chest and placing her hands on her hips, Audrey listened to what Ophelia had to say. Then, with confidence, she spoke, "Well, young lady, try to give me your best shot. We don't want a quick squash here, right?" Of course, she knew that she shouldn't expect this match to be a squash. She would wait for the match to start as the referee called for the two of them to the center of the ring.

Standing before her opponent, Audrey studied Ophelia before she heard the sound of the bell. Quickly taking a stance, Audrey would try to use her size and weight against her opponent as she would come barreling in, looking to ram into Ophelia at the start of the match. She needed to be decisive in order to win this match and improve her standing in the roster.

"Don't worry about that. Ditzy will this nice and painful for you!"

She was half a person short when they postured up, but had the eyes to match pound for pound. The devil didn’t show a lick of hesitation in her eyes. Readiness was a fruitless talent as far she’s concerned when that bell rang. After all, what technique did she need to challenge this running bull coming right for her? Well… None. Ophelia zipped onto one foot and dashed to one side, avoiding direct danger but staying close. She planted one knee on the canvas, then snapped a razor-edged hand to the back of their knee… “Deeeeevil-chop!” Her blood felt sugar-rushed afterward. And now she tucked her head to somersault for a small bit of distance, popping back to her feet, then jumping a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree turn to ready for the next joust.

Audrey thought that she would be able to ram herself into Ophelia, but much to her surprise, her opponent managed to use her smaller frame to slip to the side before she went in to hit Audrey with a chop right at the back of her knee! "Nhh!!" Audrey had to make conscious effort to remain standing as she would quickly turn around to look at Ophelia, who had now put some distance between the two of them. Huffing, Audrey retook her stance as she would wait for what her smaller opponent would do next.

One chop wasn’t much damage. But it was a start. She conducted her matches in small victories. Each transaction was a match itself. So what mattered was putting the utmost performance. And if she failed as a whole, well, she was ready for that. So there was no fear in their size or how she bounced on her feet and saw how they didn’t come charging again. That was good. Now she’d be the one to approach, zig-zagging with jumps from foot to foot, swaying her arms like a little dance as her head followed the rhythm. “One and two and one and… HIYAH!” Her foot swung and tried to attack that same knee again. It was a blatant strike, without any regard of whether they’d snap their arms at her like shark jaws. But if she succeeded, she would move away again, this time cartwheeling to the side. Not as much distance as before, but enough. Was it?
