When Chiaki Nanami signed of to be a wrestler for LAW, it was generally understood that she would serve as a jobber. But she had found a surprising amount of success in the ring. By no means was she a world beater or anything resembling a title threat. But she had multiple wins, including a big and triumphant upset over Yusei Okubyo.
Tonight, was more than likely going to be what was expected of a jobber. Someone who showed up in the ring to be beaten by new, young talent. The talent that Chiaki would be facing tonight went by the name Bruna Ramos. A fast striker from Brazil who while making her debut in LAW, was already a champion within her home country. And what's more, strikers were Chiai's worst match up. Theme Music
Chiaki's theme played over the intercom as she had the first introduction. She walked towards the ring, gently waving to the crowd with a smile on her face. Even if the match was likely to go poorly for her, Chiaki knew that she could still make an enjoyable experience out of tonight if she tried. And who's to say she couldn't win? She's done it before. Chiaki entered the ring, settled into her corner, and awaited her opponent. Ring Attire
Bruna and her group are backstage. This is her first match in the company and she wants it to be a very big and flashy entrance for tonight, As she been barking out orders to the stage hands making sure everything is perfect for this. 'Like I said I want this to be big and flashy... My debut will be legendary compared to the other women in this company.' Bruna will yell out making sure that everything was set.
The lights go out before flashing all over the arena as All of the Lights Remix- by Kayne West plays over the speakers. Flames erupt from the stage pyro as Bruna makes her way out on stage followed by her two lackeys Reyna and Reina. Holding the UFE title in her arm and holding a mic in her hands, Welcome everyone to the start of my dominant run in this company... You may take photos since beside all the other women here... I'm the one who shines brightest.' Before dropping the mic and making her way down to the ring.
Slides into the ring and without sparing her opponent a single glance, Makes her way over to the corner and holds up the title belt in the air. Before handing it to her two lackeys who stay outside the ring. Strutting up to Chiaki and smirks looking at the woman with her arms crossed. 'This won't be too hard at all.' As the bell rings to begin the match.
The lights in the arena went out shortly after Chiaki's introduction, and the gamer assumed that it was most likely Bruno's entrance. She was proven right when the music, lights, and flames all started going off as the Brazilian came out with her old belt, flanked by her posse. She had certainly gone all out for her debut introduction.
Everything that Bruna did just exuded arrogance. How she talked, carried herself, had people following her around. She wasn't the kind of person who wanted to exchange pleasantries and shake hands. She was just here to throw Chiaki aside and move on with her day. If Bruna said anything, it would most likely be to mock Chiaki.
And that was exactly what happened. The only thing Bruna said to Chiaki before the bell rung was that she would be easy. Insults really didn't get to Chiaki, but regardless of how she felt about it, it was her job to try to prove Bruna wrong. Chiaki would open the fight by going low for a sweep. Trying to swing her heel into the back of Bruna's ankle to trip her and knock her to the ground.
Bruna has a look of boredom on her face. Sizing her opponent up and what she sees is something she feels that she can not break a sweat, since in her mind, Chiaki doesn't seem to be much of a threat at all to her. So she not that that worried at all, plus with her group on the outside with her in case something gets too dicey then they will interfere and help, but only if she needs it...which she doesn't.
Strutting her way to the middle of the ring, Bruna sees Chiaki going for a leg sweep. So, wanting to toy with the woman by giving her false hope, she takes the move and falls on her backside with a thud. On the outside of the ring, her two friends chuckle and laugh, knowing what the cruel woman is planning.
When the bell rang to start the match, it was Chiaki who was quicker on the draw. Her sweep connected into Bruna's ankle, and she fell down just as the gamer girl had hoped. But Chiaki noticed that something was off. Bruna barely even moved. She didn't try to attack or defend, and the pinkette also heard laughter coming from the Brazilian's corner.
I'm getting played, realized Chiaki. But that didn't matter to Chiaki or bring her down. All it meant was that she was being given free hits on her opponent. With this in mind, Chiaki knew her best chance was to try and end this know before Bruna started trying, and catch her in something that she wouldn't be able to escape once she realized she was in trouble.
Chiaki would follow up her sweep by trying to jump forward onto Bruna's chest with a double knee drop to knock as much air out of the Brazilian's lungs as possible. If it worked, Chiaki would then fall down on top of Bruna and try to pull her head into a guillotine chokehold. Repeatedly targeting Yusei's air supply was how Chiaki pulled off her first major upset, may as well try it again.
Bruna is just taking this all in. Her opponent Chiki... or is it Chiaki has come out swinging with moves that any normal person would dodge or tank. But not someone like her who is just watching and waiting to see what comes next before finally trying and ending this match early.
Seeing her opponent jump and land against her stomach with a loud grunt escaping her lips. Bruna sucks in air as the back of her head is grabbed and yanked forward into a submission chokehold. Letting out a groan as she can feel the air being cut off as she gets her knees underneath her body, starting to slowly raise to her feet. Planning on taking it serious now since her opponent is going all out to defeat her, then she will do the same and show why she is the queen and future of LAW.
Chiaki's knee drop into guillotine chokehold combination landed successfully, thanks in part to Bruna making no serious move to prevent it. This would most likely be the make or break point of the match. Bruna would have to stop giving Chiaki free reign since she was being choked, and then once she started trying, it was unlikely that she would stop.
As Chiaki expected, Bruna started to make her move. She folded her legs back to try to get them underneath her body to stand up. Of course, Chiaki didn't want to let Bruna get back up to her feet. So whenever Bruna started trying to stand, Chiaki would kick her legs back into Bruna's legs, trying to take them out and keep the Brazilian down on the floor.
Bruna would only blame herself for allowing herself to get caught. Her former teacher had always warned her that doing that stunt would get her into trouble sooner or later during a match. And now her opponent has her locked in tightly, and she can feel the air leaving her body, and the grip around her neck making it harder to breath at the moment as she keeps getting her way to her feet.
Just when it seemed that Bruna was going to make it to her feet. Chiaki legs kicked her own and forced her to fall back onto the floor with a loud thud, letting out a hiss and growl, knowing that she would have to expand more energy to try and get herself to the same position again. Her group, seeing the situation turning out wrong for their leader, both women climb on top of the ring apron to distract the ref and get Chiaki attention. 'Hey you bitch let go of our boss like that or else...'
It was really starting to look like Chiaki might be able to pull off another big upset over a supposedly superior opponent. Bruna's hubris had gotten the better of her, and now the gamer girl was making her pay for it. Bruna was trying to break through Chiaki's and stand up from beneath her, but the pinkette was keeping strong to maintain control over the Brazilian.
What made Chiaki feel even better about what she was doing was that Bruna's groupies were starting to get nervous. They started chirping at her, trying to intimidate Chiaki into giving up her advantage. But Chiaki refused to let herself be shaken. Though she wasn't incredibly strong physically, she had a very strong mentality that didn't crack under pressure. "Or else what?" asked Chiaki without taking an eye off of Bruna. "One step in the ring and your boss gets DQed."
Bruna groupies were doing anything they can do to her their friend out. But seeing how the other woman is not nervous at their attempts of interfering in the match, even calling out to them about getting DQed if they try anything funny at all. But both women still make a showing by pretending like they're going to enter the ring but are stopped by the ref, who tells them to leave the ring.
While this is going on... Bruna is gagging at this point due to the submission hold. But hearing her groupies doing what they do best allows her to think of a plan to escape the hold once and for all. Using her hands to feel around Chiaki body... before finding the right spot right at the other woman side. Before slamming her fists right into Chiaki ribs area.
