A debut to remember: Akari fujiyami vs Haganehime

Akari fujiyami sat backstage, adusting her trademark sports bra. The national champion wrestler and jiu jitsu fighter stretched herself a little, getting herself mentally prepared for her first match here at LAW. She wasn't quite sure who she would be fighting but she planned to treat this like a normal wrestling match. As she waited for the announcer to call her name, she got up, and hopped back and forth, warming herself up. After the current match was done, she finally heard her name called. She stepped from backstage, and into the limelight, to a crowd of cheers. She smiled, excited to compete, and started stepping confidently towards the ring. She climbed in, and continued to warm herself up, waiting for her opponent to get in.

Himeko finished up her stretches, being helped up to her feet by Nanase as she did so. "This feels like the brat's thing." Himeko muttered. Another match, this time against a National champion from the US in Jujitsu. With an accolade like that it had Himeko questioning the someone with that kind of background wanted to go into wrestling. She had seen a handful of martial artists and grapplers proper in LAW, but... coming all the way from America to wrestle felt... weird. Maybe it was an American thing, who could say. Though... it would be an interesting match for sure. Two grapplers duking it out in the ring. It had a bit of a flare to it that Himeko couldn't help but like. "Guess all sorts come here." She thought aloud.

"Indeed, like the judoka in a battle kimono and topknot." Nanase chimed in.

"Can it, Nanana." She huffed, rolling her shoulders. "I'm off."

And with that said and done Himeko moved out of backstage and to the stage, her theme kicking on and the crowd meeting her with a low humming reception. She paid it little mind, her steely gaze focused on the ring and the opponent in the center. The closer she got, the more she made out, and to her surprise her opponent was... plain. A plain woman in a plain outfit, but definitely had the body of someone that trained. Less a wrestler and more a fighter. It made Himeko a little jealous about her own attire. Damn, wish I didn't have my tats so I can take this damn thing off. A future note to have a longer shirt under her battle kimono.

She climbed into the ring, looking over and sizing up her opponent. "You ready?"

akari smirked and crossed her arms. Her opponent looked a fair bit older than her but she wasnt fazed. She smiled at the girl and flexed her muscles, hoping for a bit of an intimidation factor before interrupting her and asking, "aw, cant we talk a bit beforehand? Id rather know something about you before I crush you." she directed her finger at the girl, smirking. Her mean side was already beginning to show. "Im akari," she smiled, "world recognized wrestling and jiu jitsu champ? And who are you?" she asked with a grin.

"... ... ..." Don't even know why I was expecting something serious. From the moment her opponent flexed Himeko's expression darkened. Hearing her opponent speak had her eyes deaden further. This... was not what she expected when she read her opponent was some martial arts champion. Some confidence maybe, but... there was arrogant, and then there was this. "Haah," She let out a sigh, undoing her topknot.

"Himeko," She stated, retying her hair into a ponytail. "Now are you going to just run your mouth or fight?"

Akari smirked. This girl seemed like she was the real deal. All the better when she won, as itd show that she was not to be messed around with and here to stay. "look himeko," she smiled, and got in a fighting stance, "I like to talk like Ive already won the match. Its what I did in wrestling in school, and it helps me stay confident. Now, when I beat you, how would you prefer I make you tap out?" she smiled, and got in a fighting stance, ready for the bell.

Yeah, and now I'm wondering if the US has as shit gyms and schools as the movies kept showing. Himeko rolled her eyes at Akari's words, moving herself into a lower stance. "The fast talkers get knocked out first." She stated, bringing her hands up and getting into a low stance. "And the only one tapping is you."

*DING!*

And with the bell rung Himeko rushed forward, hoping to grab onto the Akari's shoulders and trip her to the ground with the princess on top of her.

"What do you mean how shit they're portrayed on fil- GYAHHHHHHHHHH!"

As the bell rang, akari had not expected himeko to rush forward. she gasped, and stumbled back, falling, with her opponent on top of her. she tried to bridge, and thrust her hips to get himeko off, and attempted to punch the girls side a little to try to get her to give up the position.

Cutting Akari off and knocking her down got the Heiress smirking. And that's what you ge- Well, until she started fighting back anyway. The moment they hit the ground Akari was struggling out of Himeko grip, bridged her back and making it much harder difficult to stay on top. But what Himeko really didn't see coming was the punch to her side. "Grh!" She gritted her teeth, narrowing her eyes Akari's way before toppling off the girl with a sore hip. "Tch,"

abkari smirked. "Looks like you maybe bit off more than you could chew, huh?" she laughed. She now had the initiative, and she knew it. She smiled, and charged himeko, planning to grab the girl and try to go for a quick knee to her stomach to take her to the ground, where she was far more comfortable fighting.

"Grh," Himeko's eyes narrowed Akari's direction. This little- A low growl left her, her hand still clutching at her sore side. Not a hard hit by any means, but one that definitely caught her off guard unfortunately. And the it wasn't even over yet. Akari took full advantage of Himeko's state and got offensive.

"Hrrgh!" Himeko bit down, her stomach caving as Akari rammed her knee into her gut. "You-" She couldn't even finish the insult, Akari moved fast in taking Himeko right to the ground on her back. This was definitely a grappler alright, one that wasn't afraid to mix in a bit of brawling either.

But neither was Himeko.

She was far from out, throwing out a fast punch aimed right for Akari's face. If this girl was going to fight rough, Himeko would get rough in turn.
