Rules: Victory by pinfall, submission, or knockout
At least, she hoped she could. But Gail had been teaching her a lot about how to handle herself, and now she finally had the opportunity to apply that in the ring. She was eager to see if this would work for her, and if it might prove to be what she needed to give her record a much-needed boost.
It was everything else that she found...concerning. Gail had been telling her to be more aggressive and assertive, and to not worry about the rules so much if it came down to that. That she couldn't let her concerns about being fair or being nice get the better of her. She didn't know if that was the kind of person she really was. What about the fans? Would they like it? There was no telling how they'd react to such a change, and the thought of it caused Marzia to wince. If they all turned on her, would it be worth what she'd worked toward? What good was going places in her career if everyone hated her for it? She'd shown where her new alliegiances lay when she had intervened in Gail's match with Ashley Lucas, and the crowd's reception had been less than warm. The thought of hearing them boo her again was one she wasn't sure she was ready for.
No, no. She couldn't let that keep her back. Marzia clenched her teeth and shook her head. She remembered what Gail had told her. That she couldn't care what anyone said. People were going to boo her, but she had to just ignore it. It wouldn't stop her success.
At last, Marzia looked up at the door with purpose. It was time for everyone to see the new her.
"And coming to the ring from Rome, Italy, at 5'2 and weighing 140 pounds, MARZIA SER-"
"S-SHUT UP!" Marzia shouted back, using her newly cultivated trash talking skills.
