Lynda was readying herself backstage, getting all of her gear together, limbering herself up with a few stretches, and running through a few preprepared character notes. The woman was no stranger to public speaking. In fact, it was part of the reason that she loved professional wrestling so much. The ability to convincingly convey her character to hundreds upon hundreds of people each week was an astounding thing for her, to tell her character's story and give people a bone-chilling performance served as one of the German woman's top goals as a wrestler, and she was always looking to improve her skills. Tonight was a special night however, this wasn't some indie promotion crowd, this was the big-time, the real deal...LAW...and she would exhaust all of her options to make sure that this night would be cemented in the minds of ALL who would witness it, even her own opponent. After finishing her prep work, Lynda was given the go-ahead by the backstage crew who started her theme song. The woman slipped on her snake-themed Lucha-libre mask and drew her hood up.
Spoiler
"...Making her debut, hailing from Berlin, Germany...slithering into the halls of LAW to sink her fangs into its' throat...standing at 5'10 and weighing in at 149 lbs...LA SERPIENTE...LYNDA JÄGER!!!!"
At first, many spectators weren't too interested, they'd much rather see some REAL highlighted fighters like Sheena Akan, Hayleigh Hayashibara, the SWAT Cats, or Astrid Ostberg...some REAL talent, not some new girl on the block. Though the crowds were usually more receptive to new additions to LAW's expansive roster, tonight they just wanted to be impressed. Well, in one way...they'd certainly get their wish as the lights would dim down, green lighting would shine toward the arena's entrance as smoke billowed across the ramp's surface, and from the depths of the pitch-black haze of smoke arose a hooded, masked figure with eyes that could cut right through a person's very soul with their chilling, deadly gaze. With a venomous smile and an appetite to crush, constrict, and conquer...La Serpiente had made her arrival.
Spoiler
After making her way down to the apron, the snake-themed luchadora would strut across and around the outside of the ring, her hips swaying as she dragged her feet, almost appearing as if she was gliding across the floor...or to be more precise, it was like she was slithering. The crowd was mesmerized by her performance, some of the audience members were shocked to the core with awe, and others were left in a cold silence due to fear. Eventually, Lynda would make her way into the ring, sliding beneath the bottom rope and rising to her feet to stand tall in the center of the ring, presenting a microphone in her hand. The announcer outside would give a surprised shout in reaction to this as Lynda had somehow managed to steal the microphone off of his person during her short walk around the outside area, showing a few more sly, snake-like qualities to this well-performed character.
She cleared her throat and prepared herself. "HERE I AM LAW!!! BEAR WITNESS TO THE WOMAN WHO WILL SINK HER FANGS INTO THIS COMPANY'S THROAT. Let this serve as a warning to anyone in that locker room who sees themself as LAW's next biggest thing...watch your back, because I guarantee you, the moment you let your guard down around La Serpiente, will be the last moment of your CAREER." She said, her tone was so cold and vicious, lacking any amount of empathy or mercy as she cracked a devious, villainous smile before tossing the microphone out of the ring and back toward the announcer, the voice-casting tool knocking the well-dressed man in the chest before it clattered to the floor. Now she looked back toward the top of the ramp, awaiting the arrival of her soon-to-be opponent, a woman who was to be feared for her cruel nature in the ring, and a worthy competitor that would make a suitable challenge for La Serpiente's debut...Lynda was so eager to face this redheaded demon, she was practically craving for this battle to get underway!!! She could barely contain her excitement as patiently reserved herself, waiting on the moment that Ann would step forward from backstage and face her...
