Duble Debut: Alicja Piestrzeniewicz vs Alice Charlston

This match was weird from the get-go. At least Alicja thought so, she a young lioness, fresh to the program was picked to be a debut opponent for a lightweight signed for the main roster. That made little sense as she wasn't so far particularly stellar in her training, with maybe one exception but for this match, it would make no difference. One thing she could think of was her recognisability, she was a fitness model after all, but still, it was weird. On one hand, if her opponent won, she would have defeated a much larger girl which would be impressive if not for the fact that nobody knew her from wrestling and she was a young lioness, and if she lost she would look bad for that same young lioness reason and Alicja wouldn't get that much as her opponent was new and a weight class below her.

Still, she wasn't going to question it, all these thoughts she spun in her head some days before, now trying to keep her head empty. One of the wrestlers she trained with, Huan told her that people rarely remember what actually happened in their first fight, She wondered if that was true before slapping herself lightly on the cheek to focus on the fight again. She was going to go out there and fight, no more thinking was needed.

Generic music blared out to signal her entrance. She made her way to the platform and made a show of looking around the arena from behind her shades before sliding them off and handing them to some spectator along the way to the ring. when she got there she would settle calmly in the corner. No show unless you would consider her faking being relaxed to be one.

Ring Attire

Alice was almost too jittery to concentrate. Her stomach felt like it was full of butterflies. Alice slipped into her wrestling attire. With this being her debut match, Alice was absolutely determined to win, even more so than normal. She faced the doors leading from the changing room to the ring, took a deep breath, and pushed them open. She was immediately greeted by the roaring of the crowd, and the bright white lights. Her theme music began to play, and she began to jog down the aisle, slapping hands and blowing kisses in a display of confidence far greater than what she actually felt. “And her opponent, straight out of New York city, Alice Charlston!” The booming voice of the announcer seemed to call from everywhere at once. Alice hopped atop the bottom rope, and vaulted into the ring. She finally got a good look at her opposition. Alicja was at least an inch taller than alice, and considerably more muscular. She also, according to the announcer, was quite a bit heavier. Alice reached her hand out for a handshake. “Alice Charlston, it’s a pleasure to be facing you today. This may be my debut, but when I win I want it to be genuine, so don’t hold back!” She said with a cheerful smile on her face.

Alicja approached her opponent, she found it kind of funny that they both basically shared the same name, well not quite but they did after translation. She smiled and shook her hand. "Pleasure is all mine, and don't worry, I wouldn't dare hold back" Firs thought that passed her mind was that at least her opponent seemed nice.

Alicja was a bodybuilder before, she knew a fair bit about how to judge someone's strength and she knew from the get-go that she should be trying to avoid the other girl's legs, she might be a lightweight but a kick always hurt more and that girl could sure back a mean one if she wanted to.

After the handshake, Alicja would back up to her corner and wait for the ball to start the match

Alice shook her opponent’s hand after exchanging pleasantries. “May the best woman win.” She said, before retreating to her corner. This would be a tough match, Alice could tell. But maybe, if she fought hard, with a bit of luck she could pull off a win. The bell rung, signaling the start of the match. Alice took up a defensive position, circling around her opponent, waiting for an opportunity to strike.

Seeing her opponent getting on the defensive Alicja would size them up again. "About the same height and probably dangerous kicks, have to close the distance." a thought ran through her head as she gathered what she learned. Her trainers would say that she thinks too much.
Either way, there seemed to be one sensible approach, Alicja would close the distance as fast as she could and try delivering a running knee to her opponent's stomach, if that worked she would follow it up with an elbow to her back.

Alice continued to circle her opponent. Alicja had not yet taken up a stance, leading Alice to believe she was plotting something. She couldn’t take that risk. She needed to strike first. Alice moved in closer to strike, and Alicja sprung forwards. A thought flashed through Alice’s mind. “Too close.” Alice didn’t have time to block the blow, and Alicja delivered a devastating running knee to Alice’s stomach. She keeled over and clutched her stomach as she felt the breath leave her. True to Alice’s pre-match assessment, Alicja’s muscles were for more than just show. Alice attempted to rise, but Alicja delivered a hard elbow to Alice’s back. Somehow, this blow was even worse than the previous. Alice yelped, and fell to her hands and knees. She needed to do something quickly, before Alicja could take advantage of the situation. But in her weakened state, it was a risk. She couldn’t be sure she’d succeed. She would try to rise. And deliver a jab to Alicja’s throat. If this succeeded, she would try to knee her opponent in the gut, and push her to the ground.

Before Alicja could capitalize on the occasion her opponent would get up with a strike that narrowly missed her throat as she stepped back. This got her out of balance and she was caught unprepared for Alice's next move as her knee sunk deep in her abbs. She didn't tense in time and impact forced air out of her and the push that followed successfully got her to the floor.

Alice’s first clumsy blow narrowly missed it’s mark, though it clearly surprised Alicja. Alice decided to follow through on the second part of her plan, delivering a knee to Alicja’s abs. Her opponent wheezed as the air was pushed out by the blow. Taking advantage of the situation, Alice grabbed her opponent by the shoulders and pushed her to the mat. Alice knew she needed to capitalize on her opponent’s vulnerability, before she got up. She ran for the ropes, and climbed atop them. She would leap into the air, and try to land on Alicja’s chest or gut knees first.

Alicia expected another strike, or hold but it didn't come, instead, she saw the other girl climb the ropes and lunch herself off of them. Trying to pull that move so early was risky even against someone as inexperienced as Alicja. She managed to roll out of the way in a nick of time. We're that to happen further in Alice would have probably got her with that one. For now, it allowed Alicja time to get back up to her feet.

Alice’s eyes widened in shock as she watched Alicja roll out of the way. But it was too late to try and stop Alice’s momentum, and she came crashing to the matt, knees first. Too late, she had realized her mistake. She was on her knees, staggered, in front of her opponent and at her mercy.
