(Debut!) Joyce & The Jokester: Giulia Dubois vs Joyce Hilda

Giulia was so excited to finally be in LAW, it felt like a breath of fresh air, from the crowd to the staff to the other wrestlers...Oh this was going to be EXCITING. She could barely contain herself, she was nearly bouncing off the walls as she prepared herself. Then, it was time for her match and she finished her final stretches as she approached the entrance to the arena while her theme played in the background and the announcer introduced her for the very first time.

"HAILING FROM BORDEAUX, FRANCE AND DEBUTING IN LAW FOR THE FIRST TIME....SHE IS THE MASTER-MIME, GIULIA DUBOIS!!!!!"

Giulia made her entrance and approached the ring, giving an entertaining performance by dancing, doing some cartwheels, and transitioning into other acrobatics in order to wow the crowd before entering the ring, backflipping several times before entering her corner and waiting for her opponent.

Joyce Entrance

Contrasting totally with Giulia's theme, Joyce's one was more contemporary and pop-ish. Joyce made her entrance on her usual way: walking to the rythm of the song, jumping and sliding under the ropes, and then climbing on the turnbuckle on the "Be the One" part. This time, however, there was a huge, drastic change on her entrance:

Joyce's New Wrestling Attire

New opponent, on her first match, and Joyce wanted to give a good impression. This and the fact she was also after a new wrestling attire, as well wanting to improve her wrestling persona since she just got herself on the Young Lioness Cup (a parallel event that was happening aside that match). After finishing her entrance, Joyce climbed down the turnbuckle, approached Giulia and offered her a handshake and an object.

"Nice to meet you, newbie. By the way, I think you dropped this on your way to here."

As Joyce said, she showed the object she was holding: a clown's nose

Giulia looked absolutely SHOCKED, her? A newbie? How insulting~...this certainly would not do, the lovely clown was not going to stand for this...at least, that's what was going on in that head of hers. She wasn't actually upset with Joyce, far from it...in fact, this gave her the perfect angle for some witty banter, after all she was an entertainer first and foremost.

"Ah, you must be mistaken my fearsome-looking, four-eyed foe...that nose is NOT mine, because my nose is right..." She put her hand up to her nose, pretending as if it wasn't there. "Right here...wait a second? Where is it!? I could've sworn I put it on...oh no, oh no, oh nose!!!" She said, the crowd already cracking up at her performance. She then reached into her invisible back pocket, pulling out her hand and forming it into a sort of nose-like shape. "Ahh, found it~!!!" She said, pretending to put it on.

"That's better...see? I have MY nose...that one in your hand is clearly meant for YOU...because after I'm done with you, you're the one who'll be the joke you cutie-patootie clown~" She said, getting another laugh out of the crowd.

"Uh, no, I guess not." Joyce said, smiling. "Noses like this clearly are meant to go along with some white make-up and funny, dotted shoes, but it's okay if you don't want to. Speaking in make-up" Joyce took a pause before continuing "Come on, you need some self-awareness. I mean, If I had to grout my face all over to look even remotely presentable, I'd think twice before calling someone 'fearsome-looking'."

When Joyce said that last part in the most natural tone she could, the crowd released a huge, loud "whoa" at her sassiness.

"Oh!!! Such sass!! You're looking for a rumble young lady, and I'm just the lovable, laughable lass to give you a proper whupping." She said, doing a mock pantomime of rolling up her sleeves as if she was getting ready to fight, putting up one of those silly, old-timey guards as she waggled her fists at Joyce.

"Oh, wanting to go into some old-school slapstick comedy, aren't you?" Joyce raised an eyebrow, smirking "Okay then, do your best!" Joyce said, raising her grappling stance.

After raising her grappling stance, Joyce didn't waited too long: she promptly grabbed Giulia's wrist and then Irish Whipped to the ropes. On her return, Joyce would buck her on the belly and, as she curled on herself, she would try to finish her combo with a Running Bulldog.

Giulia was thrown into the ropes, sloppily bouncing off in a klutz-like fashion as she rebounded and stumbled toward Joyce, getting hit in the tummy and playing up her reaction to the crowd as she writhed and wiggled around in pain while clutching her stomach, feeling Joyce's hand at the back of her head. She knew the cue and braced herself, expecting a move that would probably end up with her hitting the canvas face first...and she was right. The Running Bulldog left her planted on the canvas as she hit her face on the mat and popped up, looking stunned and dazed in a silly, clown-like fashion before flopping onto her back.

"Oh yeah, you had quite a good idea. Sometimes I forget how slapstick comedy can be pure gold. I mean, 'El Chavo del 8' was a phenomenon on my country for a reason" Joyce giggled from her own joke, then jumping high and falling down with a Leg Drop at Giulia's chest.

Giulia writhed around in pain after receiving the Leg Drop, acting as if it was utterly devastating as she kicked around and clutched her chest in pain. "OWWW!!! OWIE OWIE OWIE!!!!" She said, playing it up further as the crowd laughed and cheered.

Joyce started to laugh too, as she was starting to have some fun with that. Going into the whole circus motif, Joyce grabbed Giulia's legs and turned her belly down.

"Now, Ladies and Gentlemen, behold and hold your breaths as you're all about to see if this big mouthed little clown can free her legs from a terrible submission hold capable of shattering ankles and knees! BEHOLD, THE TEXAS CLOVERLEAF!!!"

As Joyce said that, she promptly applied the said submission hold, forcing back the move enough to make Giulia's body to bend a bit over her head.
