Mae Madison vs. Helena Dubois - Star-Spangled Entrance!

Still hurting from Helena's move, Mae was unable to stop her opponent from stomping her, eliciting more screams of pain from the patriotic grappler. The stomps left her winded and weakened, putting her in grave danger.

Once she was done, Helena went down and laid across Mae's chest, going for the pinfall attempt. Mae seemed unresponsive as the referee started counting for the pin, and from the look of it, it seemed that Helena's victory was assured.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THR-!"

But, at the last second, Mae regained her life and kicked out right before the referee could finish her count. The crowd went crazy from the near fall, and despite still weakened, the American girl grunted as she would try to push Helena off of her.

Helena slapped the mat and got to her feet glaring at the referee. "That was a three count you blundering idiot! Incompetent fools......" Helena hissed under her breath as she bent down to grab onto Mae's hair to pull her back up to her feet. Helena was pissed off and thought she should have won right there. An angry Helena tried to Irish whip Mae to the ropes while running the opposite way herself. Helena wanted to clothesline Mae as she bounced off the ropes, hoping that Mae was going to be too stunned to counter....

Despite kicking out, Mae was still pretty weakened by what Helena had dealt on her, and she was unable to fight back as Helena pulled her up before she was sent towards the ropes with an Irish whip. Still, she knew where she was going, so when her body touched the ropes, she would let herself rebound back to Helena, who seemed to be looking to nail a clothesline on her.

This time, she wouldn't let her opponent do whatever she wanted on her, so when she got closer, Mae would duck under Helena's extended out arm, avoiding the clothesline. She would then stumble towards the ropes, leaning against it, hoping to get enough time to recover and regain her bearing.

Helena swung and.... missed? Mae ducked low and caught herself on the ropes, slumping down and recovering. Helena couldn't allow that to happen! She shook her head and again rushed right at Mae, her arm extended as she looked to crash into Mae once more, hoping to send her flipping over the ropes from the impact! Helena was seeing red, clearly disappointed by Mae dodging her clothesline. Helena wanted to end this match now while she had the chance, not wanting to allow Mae to recover or to work her way back into the fight.

Those few seconds of rest didn't give Mae much, but it was actually enough for Mae to do something as Helena came over to her to attack her by knocking her out of the ring. Glancing behind, Mae would bring one of her legs up, hoping that Helena would run into her boot instead. Thinking that her opponent was being single-minded at the moment, the Star Spangled Grappler hoped that Helena would run into her boot belly first, which would surely knock the wind out of her sails.

Helena's blind rage did indeed give her tunnel vision. She was so focused on smashing into Mae that she ran abdomen-first into the boot! Helena let out a wheezing cry, doubling over as she staggered back cradling her abdomen in her arms. The Canadian was stunned but good by the counter, gasping for breath as she hobbled about dead in the water! She was hurting and still bent over, a wide open easy target for Mae at this point in the match. Helena was upset with herself for putting herself in this position. She wanted to smash that flag waving idiot in the face still but right now she was in no shape to do so!

Mae managed to bring up her foot as Helena rushed over to her, and due to her having a tunnel vision, Helena ran into her boot belly first. Seeing that the Canadian was doubling over, Mae decided to take advantage of this while she still could. Shaking her head to get rid the headache that she was having, Mae would leap forward, looking to nail a knee strike straight to her forehead, hoping to send her crashing down into the mat after hitting her with the stiff strike.

The knee came smashing into Helena's face and the tall Canadian's head whipped back! She took a few steps back before falling onto her back in a clear daze as she groaned. She was looking up absently at the arena lights clearly out of it and in a lot of pain! The crowd cheered the reversal of fortune as the hell Helena was now on her back looking like she was seeing stars! Helena herself cradle her head in her arms and rolled to her side, showing minimal signs of awareness at this point. That knee strike jarred her, again leaving her wide open for follow up by Mae!

Landing the knee strike right at the target, Mae grinned despite the leftover headache she was currently experiencing. Shaking her head in order to get rid of the cobwebs off of her head, she would stand over Helena before bending down, grabbing her by her head forcefully. "A-alright... time for you to have the sweet taste of Freedom!!" Mae exclaimed as she would then try to drive her knee right into Helena's gut, hoping to knock the air out of her lungs in preparation for her next attack.

Helena was clearly reeling and Mae was piling up! Helena was doubled over and wheezing as she stumbled about, unable to get herself back into he fight. This was a bad spot for the Canadian, realizing that this woman needed other tactics she should have utilized. Sure Helena could have fought even more dirty earlier, but she didn't think she had to. She clearly underestimated Mae.
