Roaring Into The Storm: Wyvern vs. Alizeh Midori 2

Icy fury surges through Wyvern's veins as she feels her back impact the canvas. The impact didn't do much damage, since it had pushed her over as much as land cleanly, but the injury to her pride was far more severe. Wyvern's durability and willpower are what she takes pride in as a wrestler, even more so than her skill with martial arts and overall ferocity. To get knocked on her ass like this during a regular exchange of strikes was humiliating. More importantly, it was beneath her. Alizeh had struck her by surprise, but she had let it happen. She had invited this by letting her guard down even momentarily. One way or another, she would get even.

Wyvern barely has enough time to kip up before Alizeh follows through, driving the heel of her boot directly into Wyvern's temple. Even through the resulting brain fog, however, the Texan wrestler's taunt slices through any confusion she might have had. Wyvern herself taunts her opponents to try to bring out their full strength. She does this because that's how she has always responded to such exchanges. In doing so now, Alizeh helps Wyvern regain the focus to retaliate. More stable this time, Wyvern's head refuses to bend against Alizeh's foot, catching the kick for a moment. Like a striking serpent, Wyvern's arms snap upwards, grabbing Alizeh by the ankle and calf.

"Rrrrrgh..."

With a growl of exertion, Wyvern tightens her grip and spins, aiming to pull Alizeh off of her remaining foot and hurl the wrestler away from her!

Alizeh smiled to herself as she saw Wyvern get up, already feeling immensely proud of herself for beating Wyvern in their chop battle, effectively avenging her previous loss to the younger woman in that department. 'When outmatched in raw power, use that against them with superior technique and momentum.' Alizeh thought to herself, the situation reminding her of a lesson imparted on her from her grandfather. A lesson that seriously came in handy today. Now Alizeh was waiting for Wyvern to stand back up just so she could knock her back down with a vicious kick.

In essence much of Alizeh's game plan was similar to her first match with Wyvern. Target the girl's chest and skull to disrupt her breathing and ability to think as much as possible and keep her from being able to make a game plan. However Alizeh ran into one major roadblock for that plan. Namely, Wyvern managed to catch Alizeh's ankle. "Aw crap." Alizeh said to herself, knowing she was screwed before she found herself being yanked by her leg and tossed overhead by the Irish woman, sent flying towards the ropes!

"Ugh!" Alizeh grunted as she landed with a thud on the mat, rolling for a moment and trying to land on her hands and knees, reaching out for the ropes to help pull herself up. "Damn." Alizeh said, trying to keep an eye on Wyvern as she pulled herself up while rubbing her leg with her free hand, the limb hurting from the rough grab and tug.

If she were in a more reflective mood, Wyvern would have difficulty determining how much of the overpowering fury swirling through her mind is directed at Alizeh, for using such an underhanded move to win their chop battle, and how much is aimed at herself, for allowing it to work in the first place. Luckily, she is spared the need to make such ruminations due to the sheer level of rage she feels; her sole focus is on Alizeh, and making the Texan wrestler pay in pain for her embarassment. By the time the Emerald Storm is able to stand up, Wyvern has already closed the gap and assumed a familiar stance, with her right leg shifted backwards and her arms raised. Angry or not, Wyvern's technique is so heavily ingrained that even an impaired state of decisionmaking isn't necessarily enough to cause her to devolve to less refined attacks.

There is only a split second for Alizeh to get her bearings before Wyvern's entire body blurs into a twisting back thrust kick: the Black Talon. Wyvern hadn't used this move until late into their previous match, and only her intense training and practice had allowed her make it effective when she was so tired. This time, while she's still fresh, there's little comparison to be made. The strike fires out like a blast of lightning, aimed directly at Alizeh's stomach. Of course, such blinding speed has its drawbacks, which Alizeh might be able to make use of...

Alizeh panted after getting flung away from her foe. Honestly Alizeh knew for a fact that the kick had landed, that meant that Wyvern must have been that pissed to just take the impact and respond with such a powerful counter. 'Damn, not bad at all Wyvern.' Alizeh thought to herself, focusing on Wyvern as the woman marched forward, undoubtedly going for a big impact. After all, given the point they were at in this match someone needed to get a first point and soon, that was the whole reason Alizeh went for the skull ki-

Immediately Alizeh's eyes widened in realization, even as Wyvern's body twisted back as to what she would do next. 'I only have a second to make this work.' Alizeh thought, going into action at the same time as Wyvern, already twisting her body to the side in order to try and narrowly avoid the Black Talon from Wyvern. If successful Alizeh would reach down, aiming to snatch Wyvern's leg before she could pull it back while lowering herself in the same moment, aiming to pull Wyvern's leg over her neck like a boa... Only to stand up and hopefully take Wyvern off her feet into a brutal stretch muffler, completed by Alizeh even twisting hard on Wyvern's ankle to add extra incentive to make the girl tap!

The sheer speed of the Black Talon makes it nearly unavoidable, but this comes at the cost of control. During the brief moment between aiming and striking, Wyvern can't adjust her aim if her opponent reads the attack. And, with Alizeh's personal experience of being the receiving end of it, the more experienced wrestler is able to take advantage of this. Wyvern's leg is left extended in the air just a moment too long; unused to missing, she overbalances and hesitates. Her eyes widen and she feels a rush of surprised horror as she realizes her error, but has no chance to defend herself before Alizeh grabs her leg in a mirror of their previous exchange. Unbalanced and standing on one leg, Wyvern has no chance to resist Alizeh's following hold, and is easily swept off her feet and contorted painfully by the stretch muffler.

Hold locked. Bad leverage. Facing away from ropes.

Quickly assessing the situation, Wyvern takes perhaps the most surprising approach possible for anyone who knows her. With a growl of frustration, she taps out immediately.

While the pain was managable, the ankle is one of the most fragile parts of the body, and could easily be damaged by the torque Alizeh was inflicting on it. With a damaged ankle preventing proper footing, Wyvern's entire combat style would be hobbled. Even if she found a way to escape the hold, it would take enough time and effort that Alizeh could easily ruin her. One avoided point wasn't worth crippling herself for the rest of the match.

If Alizeh meets Wyvern's eyes after the referee forces a break, she can see an overall shift in the Irish wrestler's demeanor. A burning rage had been building throughout the match as Wyvern had repeatedly gotten the worse end of their exchanges, and it had manifested as increasing recklessness which had done nothing to help her escape that cycle. Now, however, Wyvern's rage runs cold. There's a calculating malevolence in her gaze that wasn't present previously.

If Alizeh chooses to give Wyvern enough space to stand up, the Irish wrestler does so, but makes no immediate moves to attack.

Narrowly avoiding utter disaster had its perks. Namely that if you managed to do so, it left you with a perfect opening to strike back from despite how close you would be to losing if said disaster had stuck. This is where Alizeh found herself now after managing to dodge Wyvern's Black Talon, a move that would have undoubtedly laid Alizeh out and unable to fight back against a pin. But now Alizhe was the one in charged, managing to grab Wyvern's leg, lifting it over her shoulders and neck to sweep Wyvern off her feet and into one of the most gruelling moves Alizeh had in her arsenal, a stretch muffler, or more accurately a stretch muffler combined with a ankle lock since Alizeh knew it would take more than a hurting knee to force Wyvern into submission.

Sure enough the pain on her ankle must have been what truly concerned Wyvern since almost immediately the girl tapped out. 'One down, one to go.' Alizeh thought to herself, instantly releasing the hold and letting Wyvern drop unceremoniously down to the mat below.

Turning and walking away a few steps Alizeh would take a few breathes, recovering somewhat from that intense first round. Hell even just locking the stretch muffler like she had had taken more than a bit of stamina from her. So she would likely have to play a bit more defensively this time around if she wanted to avoid anything to severe from her opponent.

'Speaking of..' Alizeh thought to herself, turning to keep track of Wyvern and seeing the woman just about up to her feet. But that wasn't what concerned Alizeh. No what had her being somewhat on edge was the look in Wyvern's eyes. There was an intense, concentrated fire in them, not unlike before, but there was something much... colder now than before. 'I should be careful.' Alizhe thought to herself immediately as she raised her arms up.

Something was definitely different about Wyvern now and Alizeh knew better than to take the dark haired girl lightly, and with this being the second fall she would undoubtedly be desperate to get a point on Alizeh, something Alizeh would have to be careful of as she approached Wyvern... Before darting forward suddenly in a burst of explosive speed!

As she neared Alizeh would reach up, intent on grabbing at Wyvern's shoulders, intent on pulling the girl forward into a collar elbow tie up. 'Her specialty is strikes, so I gotta keep this grapple focused.' Alizeh thought to herself, already turning on her heel in a effort to switch her hands to wrap around Wyvern's head and pull her down into a tight side headlock!

Although she frequently comes off as emotionless, detached would be a better word to describe Wyvern. She lacks interest or experience in most things outside of her fights, and even then only grows engaged against opponents she feels are good matches for her. In reality, the Irishwoman actually has very little control of her emotions, rarely having to deal with them to the point that it affects her behavior. As a result, her rising indignation over the course of the match had lead her to engage in reckless behavior that had severely cost her when she gave up the first point of the match after allowing Alizeh to read her attack. The forced break from combat, however, rapidly chills the burning anger she felt. Embarassment and humiliation temper her other emotions, condensing into a tight core of pure, focused fury.

When Wyvern stands and reassumes her combat stance, the world around her seems to calm down. The roaring noise of the crowd fades into the background, and her awareness of her surroundings recedes in favor of placing all of her attention on her opponent. Steadying her breathing and wiping the sweat from her brow, Wyvern observes Alizeh without distraction, taking in even the slightest moves from the more experienced wrestler as the two ready themselves for the next exchange. She unconsciously rolls her neck to each side without breaking eye contact, cracking it in both directions.

As Alizeh launches herself forwards to try to reassert control of the match, Wyvern doesn't flinch. With deadly grace, Wyvern threads herself through Alizeh's grab and moves to gently widen the distance between her opponent's arms with her own before driving her elbows into Alizeh's bicep tendons to blow her guard apart. If this succeeds, Wyvern has placed herself in extremely close proximity to Alizeh. Most strikers couldn't function at this range, but it is here that Wyvern thrives. With brutal efficiency, Wyvern unleashes a rapid combination of blows. Right kick to the calf. Left elbow to the ribs. Right elbow to the Solar Plexus. Left knee to the stomach. Headbutt to disrupt balance. Finally, if Wyvern is able to complete the combination without being interrupted, the Irish wrestler lowers her shoulder and barrels into Alizeh's chest, aiming to knock her over entirely.

Something had changed within Wyvern after the first fall, that much was clear by the look in her eyes. Feeling it deep in her bones Alizeh knew her foe wasn't one to trifle with while she was angry, but Alizeh had to keep fighting and pressing the advantage if she wanted to win so that's just what she would do. Darting forward Alizeh would attempt to swing her arms up and ensnare Wyvern's head around them, and pull her down right into another grapple. Wyvern clearly struggled in a more technical fight and with one fall already hers Alizeh just had to keep up a similar pressure, even if it meant grappling with a dragon and all its fury as she did so, but she had managed one win already with it so hopefully she could make magic happen twice.

As she went for the headlock however something different happened. Wyvern moved in, swinging her arms up, elbows pushing Alizeh's out of the way before... "GAH!" Two elbows buried into Alizeh's biceps, making the Texan scream in pain from the impact as they now hung limp at her sides, paralyzed by pain from the quick and piercing blows, nor would they be alone. Faster than she even thought Wyvern was capable of a series of utterly vicious strikes rang out all throughout Alizeh's body.

First a blow to her leg, then one delivered to her ribs directly followed by a vicious shot at her sternum only to be met after with another equally devastating knee to the gut and capped off by the dull throb that came after taking a massive headbut to the skull. "Gnnnnh!" Letting out a choked scream of pain from the series of strikes Alizeh wasn't able to articulate any greater cries of pain or agony, too much pain from too many areas overwhelming her and leaving her perfectly open for Wyvern's next attack as the woman trudged forward, crashing into Alizeh's chest and bowling the green haired girl over, right off her and into the mat. "Ughhhhh!" She moaned out, legs hanging in the air before she fell onto her side, not sure what part of her body to hold first as the pain signals from all over continue to rage through her body, leaving her open for whatever Wyvern would try and do next!

Wyvern rarely reaches her current level of intensity. Her anger from earlier, collapsing into itself from sheer intensity, now merely eliminates all distractions while her training takes over. There's no wasted thought or movement, every part of her being devoted to dismantling her opponent as efficiently as possible. Despite the outcome of their chop exchange, in a straight fight Alizeh simply cannot compete with Wyvern's sheer strength and striking ability, the Irish wrestler's narrowly focused training yielding incredible results. Stepping into Alizeh's guard and momentarily disabling her arms, Wyvern unleashes a barrage of point-blank strikes so rapid it can barely be followed by the watching audience, giving the Texan wrestler no opportunity to retaliate or pull back before she is knocked to the canvas. Normally, after a successful combination like that Wyvern might pause for a moment to determine her next move or evaluated her opponent, but no such respite is offered here. She's already in motion before Alizeh can even come fully to a stop.

Pouncing down on her fallen opponent, Wyvern falls to her knees and grabs Alizeh by her raised hip and shoulder. The grip is rough, her fingers digging painfully into Alizeh's skin with bruising strength. Immediately, Wyvern pulls one leg back before trying to hammer another knee strike into Alizeh's stomach. If this connects, she intends to use the following period of debilitating pain to secure a stronger grip on Alizeh before returning to her feet, hauling her opponent up with her and lifting the larger wrestler overhead into a military press. There's no grandstanding or display of strength when this happens, despite how many wrestlers use the move. If Alizeh isn't able to counter or respond in time, the Irish wrestler simply hurls her away, throwing her towards the center of the ring at full force.

This completed, Wyvern slowly stalks forward, this time giving Alizeh some chance to recover before she continues her onslaught. The blank, almost dead look in her eyes hasn't changed since the first fall.

Alizeh knew to a fairly good degree how proficient and devastating Wyvern and her striking skills were. The combination of accuracy and skill combined with raw power made the Irish lass a force to be reckoned with in terms of a fist fight, and one of the things that had allowed Alizeh to overcome her last time was her pure technical skill in wrestling. Naturally however, Alizeh being Alizeh just had to get Wyvern going by pressing her buttons all throughout the match, trying to draw out even more of a fight than she had in their last match. Now of course Alizeh was paying for poking a literal bear too much since before Alizeh knew it she found herself victim to an absolutely brutal series of strikes and blows at close range to areas of the body that were sensitive and susceptible to strikes of such magnitude in such delicate areas. Or in layman's terms, Alizeh just had her ass kicked and send sprawling down to the mat in a heap.

Wyvern was nowhere near done with her however. "Agh..." Gagging weakly in pain as her body tried to decide where the pain was greatest Alizeh weakly tried to push herself up in a effort to be ready for the woman's next attack. But this turned out to be the perfect setup for Wyvern to plan even more devastating damage. "Ngh.." Wincing as she felt a tight, painful pinching feeling clamp down over her side and shoulder Alizeh was totally open as Wyvern pulled her leg back before shooting it forward, driving a absolutely brutal knee strike into Alizeh's gut that sent her back down to the mat, unable to even scream in pain from how breathless the move had left her.

This wasn't the end of it however. Before Alizeh could even roll over she found Wyvern's cold hands digging into her flesh once more, grabbing and lifting the green haired girl up. 'Shit!' Alizeh thought to herself in shock and even fear seeing that she was held well above Wyvern's head... before proceeding to be flung forward and down, crashing right into the mat below. "Gah!" She groaned out weakly, rolling a way until Alizeh was spread eagle in the center of the ring, breathing heavily and in a world of pain.
