Chiaki put her guard up to protect herself from further strikes, but a grappling technique would likely break her defense.

Chihiro had yet again managed to steal the attack from Chiaki and get something going.

Chihiro then got behind Chiaki and grabbed her around the waist, setting up a suplex. But Chiaki had no intentions of just letting him do that if she could stop it. Chiaki planted her feet and pushed her weight forward to keep Chihiro from slamming her backwards. Chiaki wasn't very heavy, but Chihiro wasn't very strong either.

Chiaki managed to avoid getting thrown for now, but Chihiro still had her around the waist. As such, Chiaki was currently focused on trying to pry loose his grip.

Multiple times throughout the fight Chiaki's inexperience had cost her multiple opportunities, now it was time for Chihiro's inexperience to be exposed. He threw his head forward and headbutted Chiaki in the back of the head... which is the thickest, hardest part of the human skull. Chiaki felt a bit of a thud in the back of her head as she was released from Chihiro's grasp. She then turned around in confusion as she saw Chihiro wincing and grabbing her head.

"Umm, okay." Chiaki said as she decided to take advantage of the opportunity. She would get behind the dazed Chihiro and try to put him in an abdominal stretch.

An abdominal stretch was far less strenuous for Chiaki to maintain than a bearhug, so Chihiro couldn't rely on being released. He had to break out himself if he wanted the fight to continue on, and Chiaki was doing everything in her power to keep him from doing that.
