Kitty Yamato [D] vs. Melody Hainsworth

Kitty watches her opponent as she recovers in the corner. She can't start doubting herself now, she has to keep focus. Kitty sees Melody running at her. Maybe if she dodges at the right time she can turn the match around, like how Melody did to her earlier in the match. The young rookie waits for the British beauty to to jump up for her hip attack, then Kitty pushes herself to the side and out of the corner. She hopes Melody wouldn't be able to stop herself from hitting the turnbuckle.

Melody sprints across the ring at full tilt, recklessly charging at her opponent in her eagerness to press her advantage. With an uncharacteristically wild yell, the British beauty flings herself at Kitty, twisting her body to angle her hip at her opponent's mid-section.

But just before the strike is about to land, her nimble opponent suddenly bursts into motion, slipping out of the way and leaving Melody at the mercy of her own momentum! A faint wail of dismay begins to leave her lips before she crashes into the turnbuckle side-on, her hip taking the brunt of the impact.

"AAGHH!" Melody cries as pain bursts through her, the tables being turned just as she had done earlier in the match! She slumps into a sitting position in the corner, eyes screwed shut with pain as she rubs her aching hip, panic rising in her as she realises how vulnerable she is.

Kitty manages to get away from the corner just in time. Melody crashes in the turnbuckle and slumps down in the corner. Kitty grins as she turns around to see her opponent. Now she is back in control and she is ready to take advantage of the British model's vulnerable state.

The young acrobat walks up to Melody. She puts her hands on the corner and lifts herself up. Showing off her athletics, Kitty does a handstand on the corner. Melody has a brief moment to escape before they slam Kitty comes down and smashes her feet into Melody's stomach. If successful, Kitty roll away and jumps up to her feet after her attack.

Melody can only watch with a growing sense of inevitability as Kitty comes rushing over, the nimble rookie standing over her, oozing newfound confidence. Kitty reaches forward, grabbing the top of the turnbuckle, and Melody can only watch in amazement as her opponent flies up into a handstand, an acrobatic feat Melody knows she could never replicate.

Then her eyes widen in fear as Kitty starts to swing back down...

A high pitched squeal of pain escapes from her mouth as Kitty's feet slam down into the British beauty's stomach. The wind is driven from her and her whole body bucks under the impact. With her abs aching from the strike, Melody sinks even lower into corner, virtually lying down with her head against the lowest rung of the turnbuckle, her beautiful features tight with pain and her mouth hanging slightly open as she tries to get her breath back. With her legs splayed open and arms flopping limp against the canvas, Melody is a sitting duck.

Kitty look at her helpless opponent. It's time to finish this, Kitty thinks to herself. The young rookie rushes to grab Melody's legs and pull her away from the corner. She then positions the British beauty, so that her side is facing the corner. With everything in order, Kitty runs to the corner and jumps up onto the top rope, with her back turned to Melody. Kitty would be worried that her opponent would attack her from behind if she wasn't confident that Melody isn't able the get up yet. Kitty jumps high off the top rope, doing a Moonsault, and landing on top of Melody. If Kitty's Moonsault goes off without a hitch, she will immediately hook Melody's leg and press the model's shoulders against the mat for a pin.

"Nnnnhh..." Melody groans as she feels Kitty drag her out of the corner, turning the downed British beauty side-on to the turnbuckle. Aching and short of breath, she's in no position to resist the nimble rookie.

Out of the corner of her eye she sees the young wrestler climbing the turnbuckle and a sense of dread descends on Melody as, too late, she realises what's about to happen. Kitty launches backwards off the top rope...

"UNNH!" Melody cries as she's winded again by Kitty's devastating Moonsault, her arms and legs briefly flying into the air from the force before her whole body slumped against the canvas, stunned by the impact. Her eyes flutter and her head rolls against one shoulder as she feels Kitty hook her leg for the pin and press her shoulders flat against the mats.

No... is all Melody can think, dismay filling her, but she's too sore and winded to move.

Kitty pins Melody to the mat and the referee rushes over to start the count, taping her hand on the mat as she says each number.
"One!"
"Two!"

Just one more count. If the refs hand hits the mat that will be it for Melody. Kitty can feel the excitement rise in her. This seems like it. She may have won her first match. Maybe she is good at wrestling after all. Maybe she can make a career out of this.

Melody hears the referee starting to count and dread fills her. She can't lose so quickly to this nimble rookie, surely?! Things had been going so well, but Kitty's sudden assault of high flying moves had been more than she could handle.

Gritting her teeth, the British beauty heard the count reach two. In those two seconds, she gathered what strength she had left and bucked her body, trying desperately to kick out of the pin and twist one shoulder up off the ground.

Kitty can feel that she is about win as the last count comes down. She can feel the exicitment building up with her. However, at the last moment, Melody kicks up. It's only a two count.

Kitty looks up from her pin, visibly upset. She stands up and walks away from Melody. The young rookie debates with herself as Melody has a chance to get up. Kitty begins to doubt herself again. Her opponent was able to kick out. Kitty thought she had it, but it wasn't enough. Maybe all she has isn't enough to beat her opponent.

Melody gasped with relief as she just managed to escape the pin. In an instant her nimble opponent was away, scampering backwards and leaving Melody desperately heaving in breaths to try and recover.

With painstaking slowness she hauled herself upright, legs weak and her abdomen still throbbing with pain from Kitty's assault. She may well have escaped the pin, but that didn't change what had happened before. Melody was still in a lot of trouble.

But she had to keep going. Gritting her teeth, Melody advanced unsteadily towards Kitty, arms outstretched as she tried to restart the match into a standard collar-and-elbow tie up that would limit the high flying potential of her adversary.
