Stretching the Cobra: Ciara Ward vs Tara Jaeger

This match was setting itself up to be a heated competition between two women who weren't willing to back down, blows to knees were being traded, stomps from Tara, and punches from Ciara. Ciara's aggression seemed to play right into Tara's hand though. Even as her punches hurt Tara had a new target in mind and soon attacked once more. "GLAH!' Ciara shouted out in pain as Tara's heel drilled into her nose. Ciara let go of the woman free from her submission and rolled away. Getting to a knee the Chicago Cobra reached up and felt blood running from her nose down onto her lips. Gritting her teeth Ciara attempted to rise back up more angry than before!

Tara was right to aim that last kick for Ciara's face, the blow doing exactly what she needed to force the woman to let go and back off from her. Rolling backwards and onto her knees Tara would look up with a light wince at the soreness in her leg. But she had to bury that down for now and instead focus on Ciara as she rose up with a newly bloodied nose and a pissed off expression.

Smirking at this she knew that she could use this and gave a finger wave at Ciara, saying 'come at me' and waiting in response, hoping that Ciara would take the bait and rush at her, and if she did, then Tara would push up on her hands and bring her legs around to catch the blonde with a drop toe hold! Of course if she didn't take the bait then Tara would simply stand up fully and circle the blonde while keeping her fists up, ready for whatever Ciara would try.

As much as Ciara wanted to tackle Tara and punch the life out of Tara right now she knew she had to be tactical with her decisions. Tara had the skills to punish her for reckless decisions so she couldn't let her emotions get the better of her, instead, she was going to make sure Tara felt her anger with every hit she took! Seeing her opponent motioning for her to come at her Ciara obliged. Approaching with her fist raised Ciara threw several jabs toward her opponent's face attempting to get the woman's guard to focus up high. Ciara would then shift her punches lower sending a right to fist to her opponent's stomach before a left. Wanting a bit of payback Ciara would then throw a right fist at her opponent's face aiming to break her nose in return and leave them both in similar state!

Seeing that Ciara was approaching cautiously Tara would curse internally. 'Well there goes plan A.' Tara thought to herself with a slight sneer as she began to circle the woman who made the first move, sending a few jabs at her which she guarded against. However this appeared to only be a ruse as the blonde switched targets to her stomach!

"Ngh!" Tara grunted softly, taking the blows to the best of her ability, sucking a breath in as she did so before watching as Ciara's fist then came towards her face. Eyes widening Tara reacted on instinct, starting to lean back but it wasn't enough before the fist landed square on her nose!

"Ugh!" Tara groaned out again, sent stumbling backwards, holding her nose in pain which now started to leak blood, the only saving grace being her starting to lean back which caused her to not take the full brunt of the blow.

But the fact that what she did take was enough to bleed her was a very, very bad sign for her. "Fucking bitch!" Tara screamed out, looking as if fury was taking over as she charged towards the Chicago Cobra, fist raised as if for a wild haymaker, the exact type of reaction she wanted from Ciara just moments ago... Only this wasn't genuine on Tara's part.

The moment she was within spitting distance of her opponent Tara would dive down, looking to land on her hands while lifting her lower body up while thrusting on her legs out with as much force and momentum as she could generate, aiming to land a massive capoeira esque kick directly into Ciara's stomach!

Was it tempting to rush Tara down? Yes. But Ciara was pragmatic and went with the safer more cautious approach. Ciara started with her jabs, expecting and even wanting Tara to block them before she went in for the real target. Ciara's ears perked hearing the woman's grunts as her fist struck her stomach, a good softening up for future attacks but the real blow was yet to come. Shifting her posture she threw one past punch right at the woman's face, luckily for Tara though she managed to lean back and not take the full brunt of the punch, though the Cobra's fangs still hurt! Watching as Tara staggered back Ciara saw the woman's nose bleeding the moment she moved her hands away from her face.

Ciara scoffed hearing Tara's insult as the woman charged at her. Raising her hands the Cobra was ready to block the haymaker she saw coming. Suddenly the woman shifted and Ciara moved to swing a right hook to the woman's face only for Tara to drop down before it could land. Ciara then looked down unable to stop what was coming as her opponent thrust her weight and drilled her feet hard into her stomach for a brutal kick. Staggering back two steps Ciara lost her balance and fell to the mat rubbing her pained stomach. Wincing in pain Ciara would attempt to sit up before trying to push back up to her feet still cradling her stomach. "Is that all you got?" she asked tauntingly as she rose, a bit of pain evident in her voice.

Smirking a bit evilly as she felt her foot connect hard with her opponent's stomach Tara would pop back up to her feet and watch as the woman crashed against the mat and writhed for a moment. However that smile would falter slightly as she saw Ciara slowly rise up to her feet, holding her stomach admittedly, but still able to talk and challenge her further making Tara narrow her eyes in response.

"That was just a sampler." Tara said in a low whisper before dashing towards her opponent, bending forward as she approached as if to take another shot at her opponent's abs, which would be understandable given the big dent she just made there.... But Tara would try for another redirection, this time however she was going to veer this back in the direction of a wrestling match, turning at the last moment just as she would pass Ciara, looking to bring her legs up and hook them with Ciara's twisting as she fell to try and catch the blonde in a drop toe hold and bring her down face first to the mat!

It was going to take a lot for Ciara to stay down and now the cobra wanted nothing more than to punch that cocky smile off of Tara's face. Ciara's taunting question seemed to partially do the job though, but Tara was quick to go back on the offensive!

Ciara was somewhat ready as she readied her hands and put her guard up. Studying her opponent Ciara was predicting another shot towards her stomach. Ready to block and punish her opponent, the woman suddenly veered off and went low, Ciara quickly felt her legs getting tangled with her opponent's and she fell forward! Turning her head at the last moment so her broken nose wouldn't take another hit, Ciara gritted her teeth as the side of her face hit the canvas! Not willing to stay down for her opponent for long though Ciara pushed up on her hands and shook her head trying to focus back on the match as she grew more and more annoyed!

Hook, line and sinker. Tara was able to pull in Ciara and catch her almost right away with a drop toe hold, flattening the woman onto the mat. All but confirming a theory that she had that the woman was more prepared for MMA conflicts as opposed to pro wrestling which would in turn mean that she had the advantage going forwards as Tara took this bout to the mats.

Seeing that the blonde was already starting to get up Tara would twist on her side, pushing forward as she did so to throw herself on top of Ciara's back, intending on wrapping her arms around the woman's neck and if possible, twist to the side to try and pull Ciara over while bringing her legs up to wrap around the woman's waist for a body scissor if successful!

Ciara's background was in MMA, it was all she really knew for most of her career and she likely would have stayed in the octagon if it wasn't for her temper and attitude getting her kicked out and mostly blacklisted from every MMA company. Either way, she could easily bring her skills from the octagon into the squared circle, which she planned to do at Tara's expense!

But not before Tara tripped her and before Ciara could get back up the woman's arms wrapped around her neck. Grabbing the woman's arm Ciara would attempt to yank and pull it off but Tara's legs quickly wrapped around her torso and squeeze limiting her oxygen further. Glancing towards the ropes Ciara let go of her opponent's arm and began to crawl, she wasn't about to just let Tara choke her out after all!

Succeeding in knocking Ciara down to the mat with her drop toe hold Tara was quick to throw herself on top of the woman, wrapping her arms around her and locking the sleeper in nice and tight. Smirking as she squeezed Tara would then add her legs into the mix for a tight body scissor and sleeper combination. Watching as Ciara tried in vain to pull her arm off before giving up and starting to crawl for the ropes. "Aww poor little miss MMA, can't even escape a sleeper hold? Guess we know how this would have gone in the octagon with no rope breaks to save you." Tara whispered mockingly into Ciara's ear, trying to get in her head and maybe even tempt her out of going for the rope break.
