Alba Garcia vs. Artemis

Unread post by Dubski »

Alba Garcia vs. Artemis
Match Type: Standard
Victory by: Pinfall, Submission or Knockout

Alba Garcia was nervous backstage. It would be her third match, and she's lost her first two. But she was told that her opponent was new, which means she would surely have the advantage! Still, this didn't make Alba feel too much better. Her losses had both been humiliating and rather one-sided. She didn't feel like she had gotten too much better, but if she could beat this new girl, then maybe things could turn around for her. As Dare by Shakira played in the arena, the dancer came out and did just the opposite of dance: she just sort of walked down, waving timidly to the crowd.

Dressed in her rather revealing purple outfit, Alba made her way down to the ring and entered it, smiling awkwardly as she went to her corner. She had to think positively. She could win this. She could beat whoever this new girl was. And then she could finally start making some great strides in her career and really improve. All she would need was this one win. The Spanish girl then started to pace, psyching herself up and trying to motivate herself to win this thing as she awaited her upcoming opponent.

New was a way of saying it. Artemis was new to the federation, but she'd been wrestling for quite some time already. It was something she grew with, learned over time -- something she had been working on for a while now. So saying she was new...wasn't quite right. It didn't matter much though. She'd show the girl the error of her ways. As her theme blasted over the loudspeakers, she made her way down the ramp, strutting all the way down, her hips moving to the beat of the music.

Her hair, a bright neon pink, was nice enough as she made her way down the ramp. But then, as she reached the halfway point, she stopped -- and the lights cut out, showing all of her glow-in-the-dark beauty, from the symbols on her stomach to her neon hair, even more bright and apparent in the lack of light. She shucked her jacket off -- and seemed to vanish into the dark, before she popped back up inside of the ring, the bandanna around her mouth showing off an almost demonic grin.

With that, the lights came back on, and Artemis was left standing there. She moved to tug the bandanna off, dropping it to the side with her coat. The crowd roared at the entrance, at Artemis's beautiful appearance as she stood there, shirtless and barefoot, waiting for the bell to ring.

"You're cute."

Alba Garcia was stunned when she watched Artemis make her way to the ring, wide-eyed in surprise as she came down utterly confident. Then, even more shocked when the lights went out and she had quite an inventive glow-in-the-dark body paint thing going on with her attire. Alba found herself frozen in silence as Artemis came into the ring and looked rather cool and completely at ease. And before Alba knew it, she was backed entirely into her corner, almost quaking.

Then, Artemis called her cute. Still a bit stunned from the show and her opponent's confidence, the more timid Spanish girl gulped and then said in a quiet, shy voice, "...Thanks. You're... cool, I guess..." Hesitantly, Garcia stepped out of her corner as the bell rang and then said with as much meager confidence as she could muster (which wasn't much), "I'm Alba Garcia... and I know that you're new here, but I can't afford to go easy on you. So... um... let's do this." Alba would then lift up her arms in a fight pose that could only really be described as noodley. Any confidence she may have had seemed to fade away in just a single entrance, but it wasn't like the wannabe dancer couldn't at least try.

Artemis was a showman. Show-woman. You get the point. Her entrance was perfectly planned, down to the last second, to show off to the crowd and to show to her opponent that she was something to be feared. And Alba definitely seemed to have fallen for it, hook, line, and sinker. She heard that quiet, shy voice, but it took her a moment to realize that she was talking to her. She quirked a brow. This poor girl. Artemis knew this was going to be a cinch.

She quirked a brow at Alba as she tried to introduce herself, before raising a hand up to cover her mouth as she let out a soft laugh. ”Alba, huh? Artemis,” she introduced. As Alba put her hands up in a fighting position, Artemis walked forward, her hips swaying with each movement -- and she stuck her hand out in the middle of the ring, waiting for the other girl to come and shake it. It wasn’t a trap, just her trying to show her best. ”You won’t go easy on me? Well, I’m not going easy on you either, so you’re gonna have your hands full.”

Alba Garcia, with her hands up in preparation for a fight, when Artemis greeted her and stuck out her hand, Alba nearly jumped back, wide-eyed as if it were some kind of trick. It wouldn't be the first time she would be fooled with something like that, and the Spanish girl wasn't about to let it happen again. She cleared her throat and then tried to adopt another tough look and shook her head. "...That's okay, I'm just going to focus on the match, if it's all the same..." she said with little certainty. This Artemis certainly didn't look like she was the nicest chick, but she was certainly acting like it. And while Alba wanted to believe the best in people, she couldn't let her guard down.

"Okay, so I'm going to start the match now," the dancer announced rather naively as she stepped back towards Artemis. Alba sucked in a deep breath of air and then she threw a punch in Artemis's direction, aimed for her pretty face. It would likely be among the worst punches ever seen in an LAW ring, and horribly telegraphed to boot.
