A True Test - Alizeh Midori vs. Troia Smith

“A true test.” That’s what Florence called this. Troia Smith was off to a good, no, great start in LAW. 2-0 vs. taller and imposing competitors, and while they weren’t without some sneakery and cheating, both of them ended with convincing pinfalls that went semi-viral. It was the most attention Troia had ever gotten in her career.

Of course, the numbers were pale in comparison to Florence‘s regulars, but… this seemed to be working for Troia. The glitz, the glamor, the… the low blows… everything was getting her what she wanted: wins and glory.

Yet when she brought this up to Florence, she was dismissive at best and then never brought it back up again. That is, until tonight, when Troia arrived at the arena and was immediately told by Florence that she had found a true test for her.

Alizeh Midori.

Someone who had challenged for multiple titles, main evented PPVs, and had beaten names such as Mindy Midnight, Rei Tachibana, Katarzyna Zawiślak… even Alaina Sanders! But someone who was also on a bit of a down streak, Florence said, so if Troia wanted to be puffing her chest out, she needed to beat her.

Troia could only do her best to suck up her anxiety and enter her “glitzy” mode as she walked through the curtain. Flashing smiles and waves to everyone as she went down the ramp, the crowd giving her a mild reaction as her music played. Which was fine, she could swear it was a little louder than her last.

Rolling into the ring, Troia winked and blew a kiss to the crowd, before standing in her corner. Awaiting Alizeh, bouncing on her heels.

Alizeh took a deep breath in preparation for her upcoming match. After her... encounter with Mindy and the subsequent humiliating pow session that followed Alizeh wasn't looking for an immediate rematch with the woman but she also didn't want to take a break like what some suggested she do.

Oh no Alizeh had to get back out there and prove herself, It was something she was absolutely determined to do no matter what. As such here was getting ready for a match apparently requested by someone else. Troia Smith.

As far Alizeh could tell she was more of a lackey for another wrestler named Florence. Some wanna be influencer as far as Alizeh knew which wasn't much and frankly she didn't care.

There wasn't a lot she could expect from Troia as far as Alizeh figured so as far as Alizeh was concerned she would use this lackey as a bit of... stress relief. Approaching the backstage curtain Alizeh would roll her neck in preparation as her music began playing.

Walking out Alizeh would smile out at the cheering crowd before throwing an arm up in the air, posing for a moment before she began to make her way down the ramp towards the ring. As she did so she moved in a way her great and gold attire glinted and shined, drawing whistles and extra cheers as she passed before hopping onto the ring apron and posing once more putting her outfit and body on full view.

After a moment Alizeh would turn and step between the ropes pulling herself up to a full standing position and in doing so came face to face with her opponent. 'Ok not exactly what I expected but whatever.' Alizeh thought to herself as she overlooked Troia's form before shrugging and turning to her corner, aiming to lean against the turnbuckle to wait for the match to start proper.

It was harder to keep her look up when that music hit and she got a full look at Alizeh. Having to stand there and smile as the Emerald Storm made her way down the ramp in her new gear that only seemed to highlight her refined body. And it was only made worse when she stepped into the ring, and Troia could see that she was smaller by a fair number of inches. Like usual for her. but it certainly didn’t help the butterflies in her stomach.

Still, she held her persona the best she could. Florence did it all the time facing imposing talent, she shouldn’t be any different. And that meant chattering too, and Alizeh had an easy target.

“Recovered from your last match?” Troia heckled from across the ring, as the referee stepped between the two, making sure they were ready. “If you want to give up and admit I’m superior right now, it could save us both a lot of trouble!”

The referee quickly checked in with Alizeh, and once they got the okay, they signaled for the bell.

DING DING DING!

Hands coming up, Troia then approached slowly with her hands up, trying to simultaneously maintain her cocky exterior while also juggling how she was even gonna open against Alizeh. Even outside of the confidence she gained from her last two wins, she couldn’t say she was stronger than the Emerald Storm, nor was she a better technician.

Realizing she hit the center of the ring, Troia’s mind settled on something: a straight forearm, thrown upward right towards the jaw of Alizeh if she met her there. Her striking power was slightly above one where would think, so she could only hope she could open with the first hit of the match and open strong.
