If there were any doubts in Kate's mind if she was too harsh on the girl in front of her, the continued threats and insults quickly wore down that doubt. Attitude adjustment came in many forms. It seemed that this time, humbling was in order, and she would be quick to deliver as her opponent went for the same move again. Kate did not stay still, turning her body as the strike came to avoid it, so when Raya reached for her head, she was fully prepared.

Instead of allowing the woman a chance for a headlock, Kate would reach behind Raya's own neck, letting her head come down just enough to have the top of it press against the woman's jaw, pushing to the side to crank her neck in a proper Muay Thai clinch! And as was tradition in such a stance, she would throw a knee strike at the woman's midsection, then again, and again, each time putting more effort in to maximize on wearing out her opponent's body before taking a step back, still holding the woman's neck before jumping up, pulling her forward and raising her knees to her face in an atempt to make her fall stright onto them in a lung blower!

As Raya tried to go for the headlock, she felt her neck being grabbed and her jaw pushed against Kate's head as her neck was cranked in a Muay Thai clinch, and to make things worse she'd be the victim of a flurry of knee strikes by her opponent, aimed right at her midsection multiple times.

"Aghh!" She cried out in pain after every blow, gasping heavily for air and struggling to make sense of her surroundings as her vision was now blurry, then suddenly she was pushed down right into Kate's knee as her opponent jumped up and connected it straight on Raya's face, causing her to tumble right onto the mat, groaning in pain and grabbing her face with her hands as she whimpered fearfully, leaving her completely open and ripe for the taking!

Hearing her opponent whimper made a shiver run down Kate's spine. This didn't feel right. She was a fighter, she took matches to compete, and while she knew some people were simply going for the paycheck or just straight up new to the business and did not yet handle themselves well between the ropes, she could respect the drive. Raya, though, struck a strange chord between her behaviour and the reactions she gave to being hit. Kate never wanted to pity a person she was fighting. Showing up in the ring was enough for someone to earn at least a bit of respect from her, but this, this just felt wrong.

She was pretty sure that the other woman would still have enough in her too kick out, hard as she seem to take each move, the match only just started but she'd try to give the woman an out of this situation by going over to her and laying across her chest with one leg hooked up for a pin though she wasn't sure she was even reading her opponent corectly, she did not want hurt the woman too bad either physicaly or emotionally but if she persisted she'd not be going easy on her.

As she felt Kate start to pin her, Raya would quickly kick out and roll over to the side, still clutching her face but now she was able to get back up on her feet as the pain was beginning to subside. She'd never before taken so much punishment, but now that she was experiencing it she was starting to panic internally, but still she tried not to let it show on her face and would continue to fight.

She waited for her opponent to rise up, and when she did, Raya would rush at her again and would attempt to slam Kate into the mat with a clothesline!

Kate did what she'd consider her due diligance by giving her opponent a way out of this but it seemed that despite what Kate thought, Raya was still fully willing to fight as she kicked out immidiatly after Kate tried to pin her, making the purple haired girl sligh as she'd get to her knees and start getting up, not paying attention to how her opponent seemed to move with more haste than she was so when she finaly rose to her feet and turned, Raya would almost immidiatly nail her with a clothesline, sending Kate to the mat with a thunderous crash!

Kate would later berate herself for letting her attention slip like this but at the moment, the pain from that unexpected blow occupied too big a part in her mind as she arched her back and turned to her side on the ground, leaving her wide open for whatever her opponent had in mind next!

The moment her clothesline connected and she sent Kate crashing down onto the mat, Raya would look down at her with a smirk, taking a quick breather with one arm still clutching her face in slight pain while she watched Kate arch her back and turned to her side on the ground.

"I'm gonna make you regret messing with me! You got lucky so far, but from now on I'm gonna pound you into the dust!" She'd say cockily, before getting down on the mat from behind her opponent who was still squirming in pain and then attempted to wrap her arm around Kate's neck in a chokehold to try and put her out now, Raya was cocky but wasn't stupid enough to not have an inkling that she had so far managed to land most of her blows solely due to her opponent's carelessness and not taking Raya seriously, but if this maneuver now failed she would most likely be in deep trouble and would have less opportunities to take advantage of, so she hoped to finish Kate off as quickly as possible!

It was rare for Kate to get careless, usually she was too nervous herself to let the guard slip but her current opponent was putting her off her game and in doing so managed to get her down to the ground where she was voulnorable for long enough for her to take the advantage, of course not without mouthing off in the process, though despite promissing Kate to pound her into dust, she settled on a more tactical aproach by setting up for a rear naked choke! If nothing else, Kate had to admit it was a good course of action; a good, tight choke could get anyone under in a matter of seconds, no matter the size difference or skill, for that matter, if they did not react immediately to the threat.

Kate, however, was reacting right away. One of her hands went up to pull at the choke, buying some precious time before Raya's arms fully clasped to assess the situation. She couldn't stop her or escape just like that, of course, but once she felt the full pressure of the hold lock on her neck, taking a gargled breath in the last moment she could, she had a plan. She would first strike her elbow back, aiming towards Raya's liver to hopefully loosen the grip she had before the arm she was already using to resist the choke would yank harder, hoping to further get the hold dislodged and prime it to be fully dismantled as she'd reach back to grab a hold of Raya's other arm and bring it down so she could pull the entire hold free!

If she could do that, she would take a huge gasping breath and throw an elbow back at the other woman's face to get her off before rolling towards the ropes to get up. She needed a second to catch her breath after being put in such a dangerous hold!

Raya tried to lock the choke in but suddenly her liver was hit by a powerful elbow cusing her to grunt, and was then followed up by being yanked forward, the hold was dislodged and then her arm was grabbed and brought down, pulling the hold free!

Raya had no time to react before an elbow was thrown rigiht back into her face, she let out a whine of pain and rolled off, clutching her face in agony.

"Ow..oww!" She laid on the mat on her back, trying to catch her breath as the hit had left her reeling, but luckily for her, Kate had needed a second to catch her breath so she wasn't able to capitalize on her weakened state, and after a few seconds Raya composed herself and got back onto her feet. However, the sight of Kate made her start to panic again, she didn't know what else to do but instinctively rush back in headfirst at her without a plan and throw a flurry of punches aimed at her opponent's head and stomach, hoping to get at least one clean lucky hit in.

Kate took a lungful of air while keeping a lookout for what her opponent was doing, and what she saw was her opponent charging at her blindly, rearing to punch her. Possibly the worst thing any opponent of hers could do, given Kate's expertise with boxing. She took the sight of her opponent closing in calmly, dropped to a proper stance and took a breath before slipping under the first punch that came her way, stepping out of the direct line of attack.

What followed was a powerful hook aimed at her foe's head, followed by an uppercut to her belly. From there, Kate would try to shove her opponent towards the corner, and if successful, she'd follow that up with a right cross, hoping to get her opponent boxed in and give her a first row seat to how a professional threw their punches!

Raya charged in and threw the first punch, hoping to clip her opponent, only for Kate to slip under it, and before Raya could even react, she was hit with a powerful hook at her head which dazed her, but that wasn't all as her opponent then followed up with an uppercut to her stomach and then a right cross which sent her stumbling back towards the corner rope where she could do nothing but whimper in fear and shell up, covering her head in her arms having realized how out of her league she was as a single one of Kate's punches had felt like a rocket slamming her, she had to lean on the ropes to keep herself from dropping down to the mat as her legs felt like they were turning to jelly!

"W-Wait, please!" She started pleading helplessly, hoping that Kate would again stop and give her another window to get out of this mess, and if she did, Raya would quickly take advantage by throwing an uppercut of her own at her opponent's jaw when she least expected it, and at such a close range she was sure it would connect.
