ViVi would be very pleased with Astra Nova. The interstellar girl had been more than a worthy partner for her. She had played her role perfectly, showing exactly what stepping into this pub meant for any jobber. But even though she had a halftime planned, the truth was… the Queen of Hearts still had plenty of energy left. Why waste the moment?

So, as a security guard lifted the dazed Astra Nova onto his shoulder to carry her off—so she could get treated for her bruises, her headache, and finally rest on a stretcher—ViVi drew her legs in and pivoted over her hips. She slid onto the apron, then rolled herself back into the ring.

She had an important announcement to make…

As she strutted across the ring, savouring the cheers and whistles, the nightmare raised her fingers in each hand as a signal. Right on cue, the staff tossed her a jacket bearing the venue’s logo—and a microphone.

They knew what she was about to do. They knew it would go beyond the allotted time. But no one was about to contradict a queen. After all, queens know exactly what they’re doing—and what they want.

With her jacket draped elegantly over her shoulders, she spoke.

"Well~… it seems the first agent of the LAW Federation didn’t quite manage to do her job." She pouted adorably, as if Nova’s overwhelming failure had nothing to do with her.

Laughter and cheers echoed throughout the arena.

"But then again, what can I say? No one ever complains about gifts, do they?" She spun lightly on her heel. "Though… I doubt this is the only one LAW will be handing me tonight," she added. "So tell me—could there be a companion of our dear heroine among you? Someone meant to be… Plan B?"

Murmurs spread through the crowd.

"Oh? Or maybe not!" She placed a hand on her hip, brows arching in exaggerated, playful confusion. "An independent agent, perhaps? Another hero looking to set my castle in order…"

Fans glanced at one another, scanning for anyone suspicious.

The queen paced at the center of the ring, feigning deep thought, stretching her words as she built toward her next dramatic line.

She raised her arm, then turned her hand with elegant precision, pointing at them all.

"But perhaps it’s just my paranoia…" She mused. "Still—tell me, is there a knight among you?"

"Come now… is there a big, strong man willing to rescue Astra Nova?" The crowd stirred—was that an invitation?

"One who would dare take my gift from LAW?" she pressed on.

She took a breath, then said with more force, baiting that brave soul to come out.

"Is there another mighty hero here, ready to test their luck in this arena? Someone willing to gamble their freedom for… save a girl who couldn’t even endure a kiss?"

She laughed at the end.

Now this was interesting!

Getting flown over to the other side of the world for a match against a mean villainess... Inside a literal pub hadn't certainly been on Starboy's bingo card. Yet, here he was. Barely recovered from a long-haul flight, having just had enough time to change into his heroic gear as The Lonely Superhero, and gotten to watch through a small screen the events that had just transpired inside the pub. Which, all by itself, had been pretty incredible as well.

But apparently, there was a theme here. This pub certainly seemed to be the lair of mischief and evil that needed to be purified... And he had been given the honor to be part of the task force sent over from LAW to do just that! That was a very intriguing prospect and a role to take on... And frankly, Star was getting rather eager to play his part tonight.

The problem was, what exactly was his part going to be tonight? He didn't really have a clue. The only thing that the staffers had told him was "We'll let you know when it's your turn." Nothing else.

So here he was, sitting in his dressing room, waiting for the sign. And reflecting on what he had just seen... Things certainly hadn't gotten off well for the LAW squad. Astra Nova had turned out to be the brave heroine to take on the villainess first, but apparently, the devilish pink-clad girl was much stronger than she seemed... The Interstellar Heroine had put up a tough fight, but ultimately gotten crushed by the home town brat.

Sure, Starboy could have taken what he had seen as a bit of an ominous sign... But then again, it was also sparking his desire to fight for justice. Surely, this villainess ViVi would be already weakened by the first match by now... And if Star could take her down, he could get justice for Astra as well! Of course, Starboy couldn't be sure whether ViVi would still be the one remaining in the battlefield... But his suspicions were quickly confirmed, as the she-devil was quick to take the microphone once again, addressing the audience.

And just as Starboy had predicted, she seemed to be hungry for more. She was clearly starting to invite another contestant to enter the ring... Or, the "Plan B" as she put it... And the hero was getting mentally more prepared. Would the staffers soon be coming to tell him it was his turn?

At first, he was quite sure about it... But then, he began having some doubts. "A knight"? Nah, he was a superhero, not a knight... Maybe there was someone else in the squad who was a knight. And a "big, strong man"? Flattering, but Starboy was well aware that he wasn't one of the biggest, nor the strongest men in the LAW roster. Sure, he certainly was willing to rescue Astra Nova, and ready to test his luck in the arena... And yes, he was willing to gamble his freedom to save the Interstellar Heroine, and return the honor to the LAW squad! But maybe there was still someone else they were calling for?

"Ehm, your turn, Starboy."

Just as the Lonely Superhero had begun wondering who exactly would show up, the staffers had suddenly opened the door, and were now urging him to get towards the arena. The hero sat still with a slightly dumbfounded expression for three seconds, before finally realizing to spring into action. But he was all ready, and didn't have any trouble with he rushing staffers... Who then proceeded to simply guide him into the pub area, at the bottom of the steps leading into the raised arena, and tuck a microphone into his hand. They then tapped his back with an accompanied "Good luck!", and now...

...now it clearly was up to Starboy to cope on his own.

Suddenly, this was pretty exciting. And making the supposedly brave hero a little nervous.

But he also knew that he shouldn't keep ViVi waiting. Instead, the earlier he would get up those steps, the mightier and braver he would appear.

As Starboy began taking the steps up into the ring, he began addressing the crowds with his microphone in the darkness... "There certainly is." he began in as stoic, confident tone as he could. "Astra Nova fought bravely... And she'll get rewarded for her efforts." he then continued, before sliding his way through the middle ropes inside the ring. "You may be a real she-devil... But you will face your defeat in the hands of the Lonely Superhero!" he then declared, right before the spotlights would come on, and reveal the new entrant inside the pub's battlefield!
