Despite her wariness, it seemed Ban’s caution was misplaced. Her opponent got up fast, but the counter and follow-up didn’t happen. Still, Miss Spirit was clearly undeterred by the mistake, meeting Ban’s eyes without fear, hesitation, or embarrassment. Ban’s eyes narrowed, standing light on her feet and taking a calming breath. She had seen enough. Her opponent was daring, but took risks that could backfire, and while she was competent, she clearly hadn’t fought someone that could match her, at least not in a while.

It was time to really start being offensive.

She ran forward, pushing off on her back leg with more force than before and bringing both legs up for a heavy dropkick right at Miss Spirit’s face to kick of the real match.
