The Wrong Crusade - Katsumi Oshiro vs Rhea Knight

Unread post by CyanDimitrik »

Standard Match
Extended Pin Stipulation
Victory Achieved By Pinning Opponent for 5 Seconds

She's got a cool name. Katsumi can give her that. It might be a made-up name, at that. But either way, it has kind of a ring to it. She can't help that every time she tries to pronounce the name, it comes out like Leah Knight. She's pretty sure that's not how it's intended, but that's definitely not a name common in Japan. Still, though. Cool name. Very dramatic.

She has a really pretty face, too. Very striking. Big eyes, expressive, deep blue - cute lil' nose, a nice smile on top of it. No doubt this girl's got a string of admirers trailing after her. And according to the bio she read, she's British. So on top of it, she's got one of those accents. Sigh. So she's pretty, youthful, and has a sexy accent. She looks pleasant in her promotional image - well, maybe not pleasant. She doesn't look like she's going to bring her puppy over for a playdate. But she looks kind'a sweet, smiling like that.

"This is gonna suuuuck for you, baby blue.," murmurs Katsumi with a wicked little smile.

Why? Because she's new to LAW. And once again, management has put Katsumi in the position of breaking in the new girl. She's gotten so sick of that. So sick of feeling overlooked. She gets why they're doing it, of course. Never fails, the new girl is some pretty little so-and-so, unassumingly cute, every starry-eyed up-and-comer made manifest. And Katsumi is the cold, hard reality that shatters their dreams. It sells tickets like crazy. It plays into Katsumi's strengths beautifully. But what it doesn't do is respect what she's actually capable of. So every time, she makes that her opponent's problem. She makes her opponent's body the letterhead upon which she airs her grievances at the company for selling her short. They'll get the message eventually.

And that brings us to the here and now, tonight. Katsumi is scheduled to be the first to enter the ring, and she's foregoing her typical entrance attire. No, tonight, Katsumi is going in ready to rock right out the gate, wearing her typical gear consisting of a daring blend of club chic meets athletic grappler. Gold-studded bralet, with trunks to match, thigh straps, yet more straps to be found on her gold-capped boots, knee and elbow pads, gloves, and choker, leaving generous amounts of strong thighs, smoothly streamlined arms, and toned stomach bare.
The Punk Princess, Herself
As the lights dim low throughout the stadium, Katsumi begins bobbing eagerly on her feet. The air always feels electric before a match, her energy always spikes. God, it doesn't matter who she's wrestling, the raw feeling of energy and power from commanding a crowd is what she lives for...

The heavy thrums of her intro song begins pumping in the PA system. Vivid green and purple laserlights begin flashing in sync, outlining the stage and rampway leading to the ring.
The Intro Video and Sizzle Reel
When the music hits its opening crescendo, Katsumi rushes out into the grand, gaping opening of the arena, heralded by a burst of rich amethyst cold sparks at either side. Her fists thrust into the air, radiant smile brightening her pixie features as her svelte form is bathed in the brilliant light of dual tracking spots. Her arms lower to either side, pointing to the left and right of the aisle - and suddenly overturning her hands to flip both sides off.

The reception the girl receives is intensely mixed for a wide variety of reasons. Half the audience is in wild support of the dark-haired girl for her unapologetic personality, her viciousness in the ring, her beauty, sass, how playful her particular brand of punk is. It's relatable in the way that she says and does what many of them wish they could in their daily lives to people who annoy them, to authority figures. And she has just the right amount of impishness to her ferocity to give, perhaps falsely, the hope that despite the odds, they would totally get along with her if they hung out. Or dated. Depending on who you asked. But for the other half of the audience, they shower her in scorn and hissing judgment for much the same reason - her beauty is like a dark, twisted version of beautiful people should be like. She's cruel, callous, menacing, disregards the rules and hurts others with obvious glee. She's a bad person who deserves to have bad things happen to her; namely, getting beaten up by whoever is in the ring with her.

Katsumi embraces both sides evenly. It's been stellar having actual fans finally, but they're her fans because of the monster she is. The ring is the place where she can be that very thing without worrying about stepping on toes. Here, she's celebrated. Here, she thrives. So does she feel bad about flipping off her fans? Hell no. They're here for it.

"Making her way to the ring!," begins the enthusiastic announcer. "Standing at a height of five foot, seven inches! And weighing in at one hundred and twenty-four pounds! From Osaka, Japan! The Punk Princess! KATSUMIIIII! OOOOSHIIROOOO!"

Katsumi tosses her hair, the silky black tresses fanning elegantly behind her before she starts on her way to the ring. Her pace is a casual, confident sashay, hips asway with gloved hands resting on the curve of her waist. Upon reaching her destination, she grabs onto the middle rope and swings herself up onto the apron in a single, smooth motion. Facing out at the crowd, she arches her back against the top rope and flows over it in a graceful somersault to land in the ring. Turning, she sprints across the mat to race up the furthest turnbuckle and thrusts her arms out to either side, presenting herself to the raucous crowd with a smug, toothy smirk.

Finally, she hops back and pivots to land in the corner, reclining against the post to let the referee-girl give her the pat-down. Her music fades out, and it's time to introduce her opponent...

Her first Standard wrestling match. Rhea was both excited and nervous all at the same time. Before joining LAW she had joined multiple indies leagues where the main focus was only standard. But she wasn’t always the greatest when it came to it but nevertheless her skilled had definitely improved since then and it was know her time to prove it.

She had done some research on her opponent beforehand, solid record, and skills. But not everything can be found through a quick search, she needed to have hands on experience which is why today was prefect. Wearing her most unique gears, she walked back stage waiting for the announcer to begin. And she did not have to wait long as only a few minutes later she could heard the sound of her entrance music play, “Introducing next, The warrior of the night! Here she is, Rhea “Moonlit Warrior” Knight!!! Rhea makes her way down to the ring, showing off her gorgeous choose of wrestling gear.
Spoiler
Image
She blows kisses to the crowd, each getting a bigger reaction from the last. She makes her way to the ring before blowing one last kiss then entering the ring and walking to the corner, she could feel the stare from her opponent but instead of pushing it off she stared right back, showing that she wasn’t afraid even if she was the rookie in this situation.

Ohhh. Ree-uh. That's how they're pronouncing it. Hearing it spoken out loud helps, but Katsumi is quick to paper over it with a look of annoyed impatience. Her eye roll as the other girl approaches the ring - particularly at the blown kisses. Of course she's blowing kisses. She was so right about her, having a trail of admirers.

Of course she's also aware that this is great news for her, and the match itself. The more the other girl ingratiates herself to the crowd, the more they're going to react when Katsumi does the opposite. Heck, their interactions with the audience so far couldn't have been more polar opposite. It'll make the evening more fun.

Once Rhea enters the ring, Katsumi finally gets a good look at her. She is very pretty. And that attire is really cool. Very elegant, and at the same time, sexy. Like a, dare she suggest it, anime warrior girl. She's into it. She digs it. She's still gotta hurt'er, though. And she has to make sure she doesn't get any ideas about turning the tables on her.

As the referee-girl proceeds to pat down Rhea, Katsumi leaves her corner to stride across the ring to the center point. "That dorky headdress thing?," she calls, motioning to the gold laurel perched on Rhea's head. "It's gonna get warped'n broke the second I pound your head into the mat."

While Katsumi has every intention to make good on the threat, she did lie about something else. The laurel is, in fact, not dorky. It's really cool. If this were back in her younger days, idolizing wrestlers on screen, she would've absolutely been swooning over this chick's wardrobe and style. So dramatic, so much flair~.

After hearing what Katsumi called her headband, the one that she made personally, I might add. She had to step in. Walking towards the center of the ring where her opponent lies she began to speak. ”Hey how about you stop worrying about my attire, and worry about the injuries your gonna get after this match.” Maybe it was a bit out of character for her, seeing at how she was known to be silent and letting her skills do the talking. But when it comes to something she holds dear, she won’t let it go so easily.

”Now how about you go back to the swamp you came from and fix that mud water you call hair.” After that last insult she returned back to her normal self being cold and distant. She walks away before her opponent could get one word in which adds just a tad more frustration to Kat. After that she would wait for her opponent to also get pat down and cleared.

Oh, that face she's making. That must've bothered her! How delightful! And the voice - English. Fortunately, Katsumi speaks English fluently. But there's that accent, distinct, posh, and utterly charming. Not that Katsumi is going to let her know that. She simply props a fist to her hip, and said hip cocks arrogantly.

Wait, did she just insult her hair?

Katsumi rolls her eyes expressively towards the audience, hands lifting in a girlish shrug. And then Rhea makes a mistake; she turns her back on her. The wicked smile foretells her intentions to the cameras for only a ghost of a second. Then those hands are lashing out to entangle with Rhea's own long, dark locks. And with a sharp yank and twist, she attempts to slam the back of the girl's head against the mat with a hairpull.

"AAH!," yelps the referee-girl. She quickly turns to flail, signaling the bell to begin the match!

”Ahhhh!” pain was shot up to Rhea scalp and soon after to her back as she was slammed to the ground. After hearing the bell go off, the match was underway even if it seems unfair to start like this. Rhea quickly did damage control as she grab kats ankles tightly and pulled them to cause her to join Rhea on the ground.

Afterward, it was just a complete brawl between its both women punching, kicking, basically everything besides wrestling moves. But that changed when Rhea preformed a clothesline, hitting her opponent directly and sending them back to the ground. ”Nexts time don’t hit someone from behind, especially me” Rhea went for the pin, trying her best to end this match as quickly as possible.

"And that's what you get, bi-ack!"

Katsumi's legs are pulled out from under her, her back thumping to the mat. And just like that, the smaller girl is upon her. Naturally, Katsumi lashes back out at her. Somehow, the two managed to get back up to their feet, and Katsumi is knocked back down with a clothesline. As Rhea covers her for a pin attempt, the referee drops beside the pair that have been a veritable dustcloud of limbs and stars a-la Tex Avery cartoon.

"One!," she calls.

And Katsumi twists sharply to the side, bringing a shoulder up off the mat.

"No fall!"

”damn” Rhea wished that this match could end like that, especially with this cheating bitch. She grabbed on kats hair and threw her into one of the turnbuckle.

Then she would quickly back up and get ready to charge directly at her, making sure that she felt pain from this.

With her hair seized and pulled, Katsumi's hands immediately grab Rhea's wrists to lessen the strain. She works her way up to a knee first, then, after a bit of struggling, is drawn up to her full height. She could've countered this opportunity in at least three different ways; she's no longer a tactless brawler. Wrestling's become more about body mechanics and manipulation, finding opportunities and gaps. That's what's made her a considerably more dangerous foe since her return to the ring.

So why not do it now?

Because she had a feeling she knew what was coming, and she wanted to see what this chick intended. The whip towards the turnbuckle is taken - perhaps a little too easily, flowing with it and whirling around at the last moment to plant her back against the pads. Her arms whip back, settling along the top ropes at either side - only for her hands to grip onto the cables and elbows brace near the buckles as Rhea charges in, hoisting her lower body upwards and thrusting her boots out to catch the girl in the face.
