The Prima Donna's Diary - Chapter 4: Turn That Frown Upside Down (vs Saori Aiko)

Unread post by Misfit_Alien »

Dear Diary~...

Diary Entry (READ ME)
Ami here~ and I've got VERY FASCINATING news to share with you! Tonight, I'll be participating in a special match. This will be an exhibition against a 'Young Lioness', a promising, talented wrestler under the watchful eye of a mentor who trains them in preparation for the big stage. I think that's what I would have been had I started way sooner before my training was complete...and had I not gotten that contract as a gift, but that's not important! The important bit was that this wasn't a normal match I was competing in. It was a 'Submission Only' match, meaning while the usual set of rules for a match still counted, pinfalls or physical knockouts wouldn't. It'd be a tough adjustment but it's nothing I can't handle! If you put your mind to it, you can do anything you dream of! And making a cutie tap out in my clutches seems like a very achievable goal!!! So, let's make that dream come true tonight, Diary~!!!

XOXO, Yours forever~, Ami Anderson...The Prima Donna Darling~ <3

Ami Anderson, the 'Prima Donna Darling' vs Lauren Fredericks
Match Type: "Submission Only."
Win by forcing your opponent to tap out or fall unconscious via a submission-based move. If a wrestler remains outside the ring for too long, they will be disqualified after a ten count. Furthermore, if a wrestler performs an illegal move and is caught in the act by the in-ring official, they will be disqualified.
Standard rules - DQs, Count-outs, and the submission MUST happen within the confines of the ring.

Spoiler

"...Making her way to ring, hailing from Los Angeles, California...standing at 4'11 and weighing in at 105 lbs, the brightest star in the sky...the sweetest diva on the stage...the PRIMA DONNA DARLING...AMI...ANDERSON!!!"

Ami would enter the scene in the smaller arena to a much smaller crowd in the building hall. Instead of coming down a big ramp to a bunch of pyro and bright lights, she walked out through a small aisle separated by a metallic fence-type barricade on either side of her as her theme was blaring over the loudspeaker system, the lights above flashing a bit in time with her entrance theme to make her appearance a little snazzier, but Ami didn't mind it that much. Given the circumstances, it was to be expected! This match would be listed as a 'dark match' on the books. Ami had done her research on such events back when she first got into professional wrestling, back when she first discovered it at the end of her high school days when it was a newfound obsession for the brunette.

Dark matches were typically recorded instead of broadcasted live on-air. They usually came before or after a main show or were hosted in a separate facility and booked on separate dates. All-in-all, it wouldn't change much. The much quieter, focused venue just meant that there was a lot more focus on the in-ring action, so Ami would have to do her best to showcase her stuff and work the crowd over in her favor, which she would do dressed in new attire! Well, not EXACTLY new, more so...refurbished? It was her old wrestling leotard from her training days as a rookie before she finalized the design of her custom in-ring gear. It was a white, skin-tight leotard with pink, sparkly detailing paired with matching white boots and a pair of wristbands, kneepads, and tight knee socks underneath. When Ami stepped through the curtain out into the main gym-sized auditorium, she struck her signature pose before making her way through the small yet eager crowd, approaching the ring and entering after showing the usual traditional respect one would show, hitting her pose once more for the cameras before moving to her corner and waiting for her opponent.

Lauren was backstage wearing her usual wrestling attire, looking quite focused. She and Peggu vowed to climb the ladder but were still seen as undercard wrestlers at best. The blue swimsuit clad Lauren was in the middle of a losing streak.... again....

As her music played Lauren came out to a mixed reaction as some faithful fans sounds mixed in with haters of her oldschool style as well as doubters that she would improve. Laurens thighs shook and backside bounced with each step but she kept looking at the tiny lightweight in the ring intent in squashing her. Lauren wasn't going to be made a fool of on this evening. Not again. Lauren climbed into the ring and kept looking at Ami. "Are you kidding me? No way I am gonna blow it tonight."
