Blair Yuen vs. Reny Selene

Blair did not like being on the ground. She'd picked up some knowledge of holds and technical manuevers, yes - when her career had taken her to the worlds of MMA and professional wrestling, she knew she was going to have to branch out with her skillset in order to stay competitive. But still, she was a stand-up striker more than anything else, and she couldn't help but feel out of her element whenever she was taken off her feet. She needed to get back up as soon as possible if she wanted to set the matter right - even the fact that she had been taken down by a Young Lioness like Reny at all was a sign of weakness she couldn't accept for herself, and she needed to punish Reny soon. But Reny had no intention of letting her.

As Blair kept up with her punches, raining strikes down along her opponent's leg, she was finally able to get Reny to release the headscissor. But before the Canadian could push herself back up, Reny rolled onto her chest and ensnared her arms with her legs, pinning her down! "Nngh...god dammit-!" Blair hissed to herself, clenching her teeth. She had no right to be struggling this much against Reny, let alone for the girl to take such a dominant position. Already, Blair was sure that plenty of her detractors could see the humiliating predicament she was in right now, and they were mocking her for it. But the frustrations Blair had when it came to her inability to turn things around were the least of her worries. Now that Reny had locked in a mounted position, she was able to rain down punches of her own - and the first of those punches was coming straight for Blair's head!

As soon as she saw the fist coming near, Blair shook herself back to her senses - she knew no good could come of her leaving herself open. She was weighed down under Reny's hips, and her arms were tied up, but with as hard as she knew Reny could hit, she had more than enough motivation to try and dodge! Thinking quickly, she tried to throw her head to the side, looking to get it out of the trajectory of Reny's punch, and hopefully to leave Reny hitting the mat. Hopefully, that would slow her down - because if it would, Blair would swing her legs up to try and drive her knees right into Reny's back! It wasn't the angle she was used to throwing such strikes from, but it wouldn't change the fact she was an adept striker. Hopefully, that would be enough to save her now!

Finally, she done it. She manage to pin Blair in the ground. From her research she know for a fact that her opponent is weakest when she is on the ground...not to say she that good at it as well but she could confidently said that after the training she have with her mentor that she is better at it then Blair....at least she hope

But now is not the time to falter and think about other thing, she have a job to do and she will finish it. She would have raise up her fist up in the air before slaming it down toward her opponent face...unfortunately for her, Blair would have manage to move her head in time to dodge the punch in the nick of time as Reny would have crash her fist into the mat hard creating a loud sound from the impact as she let out a small hiss from the pain of it

If this not bad enough, Blair would have raise her leg up to send a knee straight toward her back as it would have send flying forward if not for the fact that she would have quick thinking to tighten the hold on Blair arm to root herself down to Blair herself preventing her from letting go of the hold

This would have made her piss as she suppose to have the advantage, but the result just have Blair nearly reverse their entire position, she have enough of this! She would have attempt to use one of her hand to try to hold down Blair by the neck to keep her head still as if this is succesful she would have try to drive her elbow straight toward Blair face as she worried if she used her damage right fist then it would end badly for her in the long run

Blair had missed Reny's punch by mere milimeters, and even now, the tension of such a close call had her in its grasp - her heart was pounding. Reny's fist was just a hair's breadth away from her, buried into the mat. If she'd been a second slower, she could've taken a blow she was sure she'd regret. But she'd managed to disrupt her opponent's momentum, and that could only work to her benefit. She couldn't stop now - Blair had an opportunity in front of her, and only a fool would throw it away! And she was quick to try and capitalize on that moment when she swung her knees straight toward Reny's back, trying to nail the Young Lioness in the kidneys!

The sound of a loud crack rang out, as Reny buckled inward against the blow. Blair might not have had the opportunity to land one of the stand-up strikes she was best at, but she'd landed a strike nontheless, and with her force behind it it was sure to hurt. She could feel it as Reny's grip on her arms wavered and loosened...but not enough. Her eye twitched with frustration as she huffed under her breath. Blair was a consummate perfectionist, and she couldn't help but want more. She hadn't been able to knock Reny off of her...and now, Reny was about to go for something more to assert her dominant position!

First, Blair felt the pressure of her hand pressing down against her throat, and that was enough to make her let out a low gurgle as the air was pushed out of her trachea. But that would be a mere inconvenience in comparison to what happened next. Then, Reny dropped straight downward, with her elbow poised right above the Canadian's face! It landed with a thud, and Blair's arms and legs kicked into the air as she reeled from the impact. In one blow, her entire face had gone numb, and her head was spinning. Now, she realized, it was more important than ever that she get Reny off of her - and sooner rather than later, before she racked up more damage than she was willing to take! Planting her feet against the mat, she tried to bridge her back and buck upward with her hips to try and shake her opponent loose!

When the elbow connected toward her opponent face, Reny would have been felt with trill as she finally getting somewhere and from the reaction that Blair give off, she know for a fact that she is hurting, all she needed is a few more hit and th-

Any further action and thoughts she would have is cut off as Blair suddenly movement and her lack of focus would have manage to buckle Reny off Blair which resulted in Reny rolling away both contestant a bit of space to recover.

Reny herself would have been frustrated by this outcome as she would have had Blair if she have been more focus...Reny herself tried to quickly stand up as she wanted to strike the iron when it is hot. If Blair already stood up then Reny would have aim to send a kick toward Blair front leg as while she never really that fond of kicking, she has train enough of it in recent months to make it decently effective. Tho if she still down then Reny would have then just tried to use her foot to send a stomp to her face

Reny's last strike had hurt, all right. Blair was still feeling the ache pounding through her skull, and the edges of her vision were beginning to blur in and out. But she couldn't let that stop her. She had to keep going - if she slowed down, even to think, she was already done for. She'd already lost more ground to Reny than she was willing to tolerate, and she knew she couldn't take much more - not for the sake of her body, and not for her ego either. She wasn't going to take being put up against a Young Lioness, and she especially couldn't tolerate actually losing to one. She needed to start turning things around, no matter what it took!

Looking up through eyes that were narrowed in a glare, Blair watched as Reny lifted her foot and poised it above her face, ready to bring it down in a pointed stomp. She was still winded enough to know she couldn't make it back on her feet in time to avoid it - she needed a moment to catch her breath; a moment Reny wouldn't give her. But if that was what it was going to be...then so be it; Blair wouldn't wait for anyone! If she needed to act now...she would!

Blair wasn't the most versed in mat grappling, but if she was going to need to adapt, it was now or never. Just as Reny's foot was coming down, she would try and roll out of the way, lifting up her hips and tipping her center of balance backward to slip out of range - and then, her legs would shoot up and latch into place around Reny's leg to try and catch it, before she rolled her weight over to the side to bowl her off her feet in a grounded dragon screw! If she could bring the girl down, Blair would grab at her ankle and crank it hard, trying to do some damage with an ankle lock. It wasn't her first choice as far as offense was concerned, but maybe it'd be enough to do some damage - maybe enough to slow Reny down.

This is it! She thought, she could finally get this match over and finally walk out as a victor. Just one last stomp that could lead to more combo that will knock out her opponent, she needed to keep the streak going

Unfortunately for her, Blair would have manage to roll away just barely dodging her stomp as the next thing reny knew she would have found her leg capture by Blair as her leg would have twisted hard as Reny would have let out a scream of pain as she would have falled to her knee on top as now both of her leg have been through hell and back from the treatment that Blair have given them, the pain grew even worst as Blair applied more preasure into it as without much thinking Reny would have begin to try to use her other leg to get Blair off her by kicking her in the face, just in order to stop damaging her leg even further

Fighting from the ground wasn't exactly Blair's strongest suit. If she had any say in the matter, she perfered to stay on her feet as much as possible, so as to better land her devastating strikes. But as stubborn as Blair could be, she still recognized that she would need to cross-train in different disciplines if she wanted to effectively expand in her MMA career. And more to the point, there was far too much riding on this match for her to leave anything to chance! Blair needed to take advantage of everything in her arsenal to stay on top - she couldn't leave anyone thinking, even for a moment, that she might be in danger of being beaten by a Young Lioness! When Reny came near, about to bring down a stomp, Blair kicked her legs up just in time to intercept the strike in its path. And then, as she threw her weight over to the side, she swept Reny right off her footing!

Reny went down - and from there, Blair was able to grab her by the ankle and crank on it, stretching the joint as far as it could go! She hissed under her breath, her fingers tightening in a white-knuckled grip around Reny's ankle as she pulled it back as far as she could. She wasn't sure how long she'd be able to hold on, but she did want to deal as much damage as she could in that time!

Sure enough, Reny managed to bring up her other leg, directing a stomp right against Blair's face! The Muay Thai fighter's head snapped back with a crack, and she went up to her feet, rising with the momentum, as her hands shot up to cup at her face, rubbing at the soreness. She took a step back, and then another. But then, Blair stopped, shaking herself out and panting for breath. Holding herself steady, she raised her fists to enter a defensive stance. She kept her attention on Reny, watching to see how she'd recover from this. If she had compromised her stance or her footing, then that was already half the battle - if Blair could cripple Reny's speed, she just might stand a chance.
