Potency: Reika Magalei vs. Karina Rine

While Reika did acquire escape from the corner, Karina hardly looked shaken. At least, not shaken enough for her to capitalize. No surprise, given her reputation, but it meant once more, she had to meet the Vehemencer head-on, and that was a tough test. Their opening lockup showed that she was outmatched strength-wise, so maybe she could use her speed to her—

*CRACK*

That haymaker… Reika should’ve seen coming. Yet it landed square right on the jaw of the debutee’s face, and floored her. Immense pain radiated through her cheek and jaw, making her raise a hand to cup it. Yet, she took it as a challenge, a call for her to give in, and she refused to do so! Pushing on her hands and knees, she attempted to get back up to her feet, despite that pain, and meet Karina again.

And throw her own haymaker, this one aimed to smash right against the jaw of the heavyweight! Was a striking battle wise? Most likely not. Yet Reika was still confident in her strength, and hoped to catch the Vehemencer on just the right spot to debilitate her.

It was time for power to meet power. Reika had challenged her by attacking during the test of strength, now it was time to see if she could handle Karina's attacks the same way Karina had endured the previous blows. The long haired fighter smirked when her fist collided with Reika's face, not really a good target to start things off with but it would be enough to make Reika realize that Karina was now meaning business. Karina much preferred to work over the body than the face, a pretty face was meant for other things after all.

With Reika on the floor, Karina was ready to simply pounce on her, though Reika didn't just stay down for long, she got back up and would continue the bout, with a attack much like Karina's own, aimed at the same spot Karina hit! Karina would stumble backwards, clutching her face and ultimately the ropes stopped her from actually dropping, though the power had been immense and it was difficult for Karina to actually attack right away. She growled, rubbing the spot with her hand as she would slowly move from the ropes. It might not have floored Karina like Reika had, but Karina definitely took the blow and needed time to straighten up to fight once more.

Making Karina stumble was a positive, if not also surprising outcome of that punch to the jaw. Reika had prepared herself to be locked into a battle of strikes, and had already grit her teeth for the next blow to come when the larger woman fell back against the ropes. Yet, she was prime to try and capitalize on the lack of immediate retaliation as the Vehemencer sought to regain her footing in the fight. After all, such shows of strength were nothing if one couldn't take advantage of them, and to make the larger woman vulnerable wasn't something that came very lightly.

And after that failed test of strength before, Reika figured she'd try another avenue of showing off her power.

Ducking down, the debutee's shoulder slammed against the exposed abs of Karina's for a shoulder thrust, before wrapping her arm around her waist and flexing her muscles to lift the larger woman up! While carrying around the 180lbs of Karina's wouldn't be an issue for Reika, dealing with any struggling would surely cut off any parading she could do. So instead, she immediately shifted into charging forward, attempting to carry her opponent for a mere second before her spine collided against one of the hard corners of the ring! Spearing her right into it, gripping onto the ropes afterwards to try and ensure Karina was pinned in, if her attack was such a success.

There were many things that could actually bring Karina down early in such a way that it would have Karina on the floor for a few seconds to rethink going full frontal. This might just be one of those cases, where it was still early in the match but her opponent made her prowess known. New to the ring of LAW didn't mean new to fighting and Karina found herself impressed, and in pain thanks to the woman not only burying her shoulder into Karina's exposed abs, she also lifted Karina clean off her feet!

It was a surprise, yet it wasn't the final destination. Karina expected a slam to the ground, or perhaps a another attack right away but instead Reika carrying her with a charge, forcing Karina all the way back and right into the very corner Karina had come from.

"Ugh!"

Karina released a sharp grunt, getting herself smashed back first against the turnbuckle and it didn't look like Reika was done, nor would Karina consider that to be the case if it weren't for the throbbing pain she was in. She found herself trapped against the corner thanks to Reika grabbing onto the ropes, forcing Karina to just remain resting against the turnbuckle, herded perfect into the corner and for those few moments, she was trying to gather oxygen back into her lungs after getting hit by her favorite attack.
