Despite the fact that Karen was lying with her eyes closed and almost motionless, she was still there. Because of the terrible dizziness, it was difficult for her to put her thoughts together, but thanks to the pain, she knew for sure that she was still conscious. If she had passed out, she probably wouldn't have felt this agony all over her body.
Perhaps the worst thing about her situation was that when she tried to start moving, her body refused to do it. There was no big secret in this, it was just that her brain needed at least a little rest in order to cope with the number of blows that fell on her head a few moments ago.
However, as it was not difficult to guess, her opponent was not going to give her time to rest. Continuing to hurl insults as if Karen had ruined her life, HEAT grabbed her and pulled her up. In the hands of the blue-haired girl Karen was like a rag doll. The remnants of her consciousness were enough to understand that something was happening, but she just couldn't figure out what exactly. And when she found herself in a sitting position, it seemed to her that this was happening not to her, but to someone else.
Throwing another pretentious phrase, HEAT jumped up and sent her foot to the back of the Hawk Moth's head. But when that foot smashed into her skull, she didn't even feel anything. The light in her eyes just went out as if someone had pulled the TV wire out of the socket.
Karen collapsed on the mat. Hardly anyone would dare to answer whether she was conscious at that moment. Only the fact that this time her breathing was weak, and not heavy, gave quite a big hint about the answer. However, it didn't matter. At least for Karen. She didn't feel anything and even didn't hear anything, including the booing that the audience gave the blue-haired girl, who from the first second behaved not like a fighter, but like a piece of trash.

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
With great agility, HEAT Mihoko leaped into the air until she was beside Karen Aoki-Justice, and then the HEAT Seeker met its mark completely, utterly blasting the girl in the side of the head! A vicious, hard blow that normally hit the temple and meant a knock out against most opponents! And Karen was one such person as it was clear she was knocked out fully upon impact! The Hot-Blooded Fighter landed on one knee on impact and then slammed her palm on the mat a few times and yelled, "HELL YES!" She sneered happily, looking positively elated as she glanced over to Aoki-Justice. She was OUT! HEAT knew her victory was at hand. She just needed to pin the girl and that was it!
Scrambling over to Karen, Mihoko pressed her body down against her. And then she even hooked the leg for additional leverage, ready get her win. She tossed her head down with each count!
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THREE!"
The bell was sounded and Mihoko threw aside her defeated opponent's leg and stayed on her knees, looking up and pumping both fists. "THAT'S RIGHT! I won!" It finally happened. Mihoko had her first victory in LAW. She made it happen in a punishing manner too, making her opponent a bloody mess. She was a player now in LAW and she could finally be taken seriously! She then looked down at the unconscious Karen Aoki-Justice and pointed a finger at her. "Eat it, you LOSER!" exclaimed HEAT before standing up.
She then snatched the arm of the referee and forced her to hold her arm up as she stood tall over Karen, beginning to laugh even as she was booed by the crowd. Pounding a fist on her chest, Mihoko would shout out. "The first of many! I'm going to run through any other girl just like this! Nobody's going to take me lightly ever again!" HEAT was feeling completely confident now. No longer shackled by uncertainty or doubt. She got her win. She could get another. And then she could get many more after that. And she took her time celebrating as the medical team went to check on the knocked out Karen. And in time, HEAT Mihoko left the ring to continue celebrating, heading backstage!

Re: [Standard Match] Karen Aoki-Justice vs HEAT Mihoko - Not all moths are afraid of the heat
Perhaps the only good thing about knockout is that you don't care about anything. If Karen hadn't fainted, she probably would have had to try to find the strength to break the pin. The knockout relieved her of this responsibility and therefore, plunged into sleep, she did not know anything of what happened after the blue-haired girl's foot crashed into her head.
She did not hear the three slaps on the mat, nor the booing of the audience, nor the ringing of the bell, nor even the dithyrambs of her rival. Considering that none of this would have given her pleasure, in a sense, Karen's dream could be called sweet. However, nothing can last forever, not even a sweet dream. And sooner or later, no matter how sad it is, you have to wake up.
"Ummmm..." Karen let out a painful groan even before she opened her eyes.
When her mind returned to her, she felt such a terrible headache as if she had been drinking strong alcohol all night without breaks. Her thoughts were still shrouded in fog, so she didn't fully understand where she was and what was going on. And when she opened her eyes, the bright light literally blinded her.
"Don't make any sudden movements, the medics will examine you soon!" She heard somewhere from the side.
"Nani?" Not quite understanding the meaning of what she had just heard, Karen asked.
After blinking a few times, she managed to get her vision in order. Seeing the spotlights above her head, she finally recalled that she was in the ring. And with that, she recalled what had happened a minute or two ago. Memories covered her like a stream of cold water. At the same moment, Karen felt a pain in her heart and a taste of decay in her mouth. And thanks to her previous match, she knew exactly what that feeling was. Disappointment.
"Chikuso!!!" She cursed, fully realizing that she had just lost.
Despite the wild pain and fatigue, she clenched her teeth and put her palms on the mat, after which she took a sitting position. The referee persistently asked her to wait for the medics, but the Japanese girl shook her head. Maybe she really could use an examination, but definitely not before she gets to the locker room. So she took a deep breath and nodded to the referee, informing her that she would leave the ring herself.
That's exactly what she did, rolling under the bottom rope. Once on her feet, Karen staggered violently and was forced to take a few more deep breaths in order to regain at least some strength. Trying to move smoothly, she began to climb the ramp. She could hardly hold back tears, because for the second time in a row she had to face defeat. And although as a fighter she knew that defeats were inevitable, the saddest thing was that she received these two defeats from really nasty girls.
What helped her hold back the tears? The audience and fans, who, even despite her defeat, gave her applause and support, because unlike her rival, she tried to behave according to sports ethics. And they liked it much more than the cheap attack before the bell rang and all the rude words said during the match.
Karen stopped at the top of the ramp and turned to face the audience. Being grateful for their support, she answered them with a smile, and then raised her fist above her head. Every failure is a step back, true, but if you are strong enough in spirit, then every step back will be a preparation for a big step forward. Therefore, even though Karen was upset at that moment, she intended to return to the ring stronger than before. It was with that thought in mind that she took a step back and disappeared behind the curtains.
