Mary successfully wrapped her legs around Sakura’s body. This was it, she got Sakura where she wanted her. All Mary had to do was just keep tightening her grip, she just had to keep going.

And then it happened, Mary felt a light tapping on her arm, before the referee tapped Mary on the shoulder, letting the Bluenette know that Sakura had submitted before ringing the bell. Mary’s face turned into disbelief, she did it, she beat her idol!

Mary let go of Sakura, unwrapping her of the sleeperhold’s grip, before backing off into a seated position. A small number of tears emanated from Mary’s eyes, she defeated Sakura. Mary wiped the tears off before picking herself up and having her arm raised by the referee as the crowd gave her loud applause.

Mary went over to where Sakura was, and held out her hand, wanting to help her idol out after the match was over. “Thank you so much Sakura.” Mary said, sounding like she was about to break into tears at any moment.

Sakura had been trapped in Mary's Silencer finisher and the hold worked to brutal efficiency, living up to its name by silencing any sound from the idol, leaving her stuck and deprived of oxygen.

Despite trying to hold out as long as possible there just wasn't anything Sakura could do to break free of the hold. Leaving her forced to tap out on Mary's arm, however weak from breathlessness, but tapping none the less.

Once the bell rang Sakura felt a pit drop in her stomach even as Mary released her and allowed her to fall to the mat gasping. Laying there for a moment Sakura let the loss sink in, the stinging pain never dulling, nor the frustration she felt towards herself.

Looking up at the hand offered to her by Mary though, and seeing the look in her nearly teary eyes... she found her anger at the loss dissipating at seeing how much this meant for Mary.

Reaching up and taking her hand Sakura would groan as she pulled herself to her feet before hugging Mary. "No. Thank you Mary. I'm so happy I could inspire someone like you." Sakura whispered before pulling away and raising Mary's arm up in a show of sportsman ship

To Mary, someone like Sakura who went through a lot of hardships in order to eventually become a great pro wrestler meant a lot for her. And the fact she beat her tonight really sold to Mary that she deserved to be in a ring, that she had the right to be a pro wrestler.

She finally had self-confidence.

Getting a hug from Sakura, both of them being relatively sweaty due to all the hard fought grappling, still meant a lot to her. Her idol approved of her, before raising her hand up to the audience.

Mary took a bow, thanking all the fans that saw her beat Sakura. “Thank you Sakura. Let’s have a rematch soon.” Matry said before bowing to her, waiting for her response.

Once she had Sakura’s response, she could leave the arena proud of herself.

Stinging pain of defeat was never great to deal with, and as much as Sakura hated to say it was it was a feeling that was familiar to her over the course of her career. That being said though... Mary definitely made it a bit easier to deal with.

The woman was so kind and sweet, not to mention being a fan of hers... There was something almost rewarding about this loss to her, even if it still stung. Which was Sakura had no problem smiling and nodding at Mary as the girl thanked her and asked for a rematch.

Bowing back to the girl Sakura would give a nod in response. "I'd love a rematch! Maybe we can talk details for it soon? Maybe over dinner?" Sakura suggested somewhat boldly with a smile on her face, waiting to see what the girl's response would be before exiting the ring herself.

“Definitely Miss Sakura.” Mary said as she took a bow to her opponent before raising her hand to the audience so the audience can show Sakura some appreciation in the ring.

After all that was done, Mary would head out of the ring and towards the back. She wrestled extremely hard tonight and needed to take a rest.

She will only have tougher matches to come, but this was a big step for her.
