The Fortunate Storm Before Apex: Lyra Heartfield vs. Alizeh Midori

Lyra had the hold on Alizeh in tightly as she didn’t hear the theme music of her arch rival kick on. The fortune teller felt herself knocked off Alizeh which caused the referee to throw out the match as Helena DuBois started raining punches down on Lyra’s head. The brass of her added punching power cut Lyra a bit in the forehead as a trickle of blood started sprouting. When Helena spit mist in Alizeh’s eyes, it gave Lyra a burning rage that Helena would try to ruin things for her. She pushed Helena off to the side before mounting her with punches of fury as her and Helena seemed to be fighting for top billing. The crowd chanted “BEAT HER ASS! BEAT HER ASS! BEAT HER ASS!” towards Lyra trying to hype her up getting revenge on Helena. Lyra had never been one to go into a full rage, but Helena was a very special exception as she laid into punching her devious foe. The referee tried breaking the two up as the match was thrown in Lyra’s favor via disqualification.

Despite landing her signature Alizeh failed to get the pinfall, so she naturally went to try and land her finisher next. However before she could do so Alizeh felt Lyra resist before eventually dropping from her shoulders all together and taking Alizeh down to the mat! "Ugh!" Alizeh grunted before feeling her legs grabbed and crossed. Eyes widening from this there was nothing Alizeh could do as she was locked into the agonizing Orion lock! "Aghhhhh!" She moaned in agony, thrashing about and reaching the ropes but being too far too use them. Struggling and gasping Alizeh's hand raised up, shaking as she desperately tried to hang on, looking like she was about to tap at any moment!

Before she could however there would be a sudden drop in resistance, Lyra letting go for some reason as Alizeh immediately rolled over, arm in front of her face from exhaustion as she looked up.. just to the the well known heel Helena Dubois! 'Oh shit!' Alizeh thought before a wave of gold came from the woman's lips towards her! Thankfully Alizeh's arm was already in front of her face, and instinctively Alizeh looked away, avoiding the majority of the mist spray from Helena. Getting up from and wiping the bits that had gotten into her eyes Alizeh would see Lyra and Helena on the mat, rolling and punching each other but Alizeh would spot the brass knuckles in the woman's hand and immediately she sprung into action, waiting until the dark haired woman was on top again to run over and grab her arm! Not only to stop her and keep her from attacking with said arm, but also to give Alizeh the chance to grab at the brass knuckles and force them off the woman's hand to toss them away!

Helena's plan to attack and leave Lyra laid out seemed to have backfired entirely. This little woman somehow beat her in a match and now was the one punching her even after Helena opened up on her with brass knuckle shots! Helena let out a scream trying to land more punches of her own while kicking Lyra away from her. She couldn't look weak again next to this woman. Helena went for the eyes digging her nails in and biting her forehead before trying to swing a big kick up but the two were being separated. "You are just a lucky little brat who should never have beaten me! You are nothing in this place! NOTHING!" Helena shouted in anger at Lyra.

Lyra was never known to be angry. She was suppose to be really calm and be the peacekeeper in situations. However, Helena RUINED her big moment when Alizeh was very close to tapping out. This would’ve catapulted speculation on her possibly being the first Openweight Champion and Helena was selfish enough to deny her that much. Chances are they would’ve had to face each other sooner to reach more momentum for the big event. Lyra was pulled back by Alizeh and she tried pushing off her former opponent to get at Helena.

“YOU RUINED THIS, HELENA! THIS ISN’T ABOUT YOU! YOU WANT ME SO BADLY?! FINE! I WANT YOU NOW! LET’S DO THIS….AT WE ARE LAW!” Lyra screeched, beyond frustrated at her adversary.

"Very well, I will destroy you in front of everyone you little brat! I will lock you in the cage you deserve to be in, laying you out while I shine!" Helena screamed back to Lyra, smiling and glaring at Lyra. Helena could not wait for this event, she was more than eager to rip Lyra apart and keep this little blonde woman from escaping her grasp....
