Aki thought this would be the closest she would ever get to a street fight. Of course, there was no risk of her opponent using a knife or something, but it wouldn't be unusual to get hit with a chair, a ladder, or a table in these kinds of matches. She gulped at the sudden thought of getting hit in the groin with a baseball bat.
She shook her head, trying to get the pessimism out of her mind. Maybe her opponent was as nervous as she was. Besides, she had trained very hard and fought against challenging opponents. She had no real reason to be afraid.
Finally, it was time for her to enter the ring. After what had seemed like an eternity, her music sounded, and Aki made her way to the ring, greeting the public with a smile. She leaned back against the ropes in the corner as she waited for her opponent, doing her best to hide her nervousness.
