The bell rang and Angelina Tarrant's theme song began to play as she was declared the winner. Mic Chick, meanwhile, would start to stir under her, moaning softly as her head lulled side-to-side, her consciousness starting to come back to her now, just too late to make any sort of difference.

When the bell rang, a hundred pounds mounted on her shoulders. She sagged, and exhaled for almost five seconds straight, dipping her head and almost tumbling to her gut. Then she straightened up, flipping her hair back and combing a hand through those scarlet tresses. “Bam. Just like that!…” Her laugh was rugged and dry as her tongue stuck out. She slumped again before long, prompting her to look at her coasting opponent. “Yoo. If ya ain’t too busy rockin’ and takin’ names, we should tots see each other again.” Angelina outstretched a finger, and tapped the tip of their nose, “Who knows. Maybe ya’ll end on top of me then.”

She pressed down on their shoulders and lifted to her knees, then to her feet. The crowd had some cheers left from their onslaught of a match, and gave the Marauder its due. She finger-gunned, then slipped between the ropes, slipping from exhaustion, bumping the apron with her hips then landing on her feet while to the outside. Her head lugged around to look for an appropriate exit, ignoring the traditional ramp to lumber towards the barricade, and vault it. She grabbed her skateboard that remained since her entrance, and started dragging herself up the isle steps to seek out a slushie from the canteen. Tonight was a good night. She’ll sleep with the bruises and aches like a veteran wears its medals. Satisfied.
