Back in the locker rooms, Sanae was bubbling over with excitement, hopping back and forth on her feet as she did some shadow-boxing at the air. She was just about to get called to the ring for her next match in LAW, and she was eager to be out there once again. Her last match hadn't gone as well for her as she would have hoped, but Sanae knew she just had to bounce back - and in the meantime, her skills had only been honed further by careful training and her fame had grown. It was hard for Sanae to not feel overwhelmed by the prospect of becoming a true star, but she was going to take that opportunity, putting her best foot forward and showing the world what she was capable of.

"Coming first to the ring, from Itoshima, Japan! At 5'2 and 115 pounds, SANAE SAITOU!"

As her music started playing over the speakers, Sanae hopped out onto the entrance ramp, her hand waving in the air as she cheered to her fans with a bright smile on her face. Her energy showed as she ran down to the ring, slapping high-fives with her fans along the way. She was so excited that she had to keep herself from tripping at one point, but she hoped no one would notice!

Finally, Sanae came to the ring, where she hopped up onto the apron and climbed the turnbuckles. She gave one last wave to the crowd from the top of the post before she flipped off of it and did a sommersault across the canvas to her corner, where she popped back up to her feet, giving the fans a taste of her acrobatic prowess just before the match began. As she settled in her corner, Sanae eagerly awaited when her opponent would arrive, anticipating what she could bring to the table.

Firebrand shifted around like a crackhead as she listened to her opponent, whoever she was, make her entrance. It had been a long time since she stepped into the LAW ring, so much so that she was afraid that the LAW higher-ups forgot about her. As she put on her mask, she tried to steady her nerves as it appeared her opponent's entrance was coming to a close. After what seemed like hours, in reality it had been maybe ten minutes, her music blared, and she once again entered the famed arena:

"Coming down the isle, from Washington D.C. at 5'7" and 110 lbs, FIREBRAND!"

The announcement of her arrival seemed to garner a relatively positive response. Firebrand smiled, she was afraid of hearing crickets since it had been so long. That didn't matter anyway. As she climbed into the ring, she finally got a glimpse at her opponent, and was slightly taken aback. She looked awfully cute, though the same could be said of Firebrand, so she decided not to make a big deal of it, after all, if Firebrand herself was anything to go by, was that appearances can be deceiving. She just hoped she wasn't paired with a jobber tonight; she was in the mood for a real fight. Without a lot of fuss or fanfare, she went into her corner and waited for the match to begin...

Indeed, Firebrand's cute looks were not lost on Sanae. As she came to the ring, the green-haired girl looked up with a smile, eagerly waving a hand toward her as she came down the aisle. Despite the fact Firebrand had a good few inches on her, something Sanae couldn't help but feel just a bit self-conscious about, she had a slimmer frame, and from what she could read behind her mask, Sanae could see the youthful enthusiasm in it. In the name of friendliness and good sportsmanship, she came in closer to offer a handshake to her opponent.

"Hiii!" Sanae chirped, the smile never dropping from her face. "You're a real cutie, you know! Don't expect me to go any easier on you for it, all right?"

Firebrand was admittedly taken aback by her opponent's chipper attitude, and her low-key flirting, but, Firebrand accepted her hand shake and responded, "That would be insulting to us both if you went easy on me. Let the best girl win..." she said, releasing the handshake and going into her corner. The bell rang, and the match was officially on! Firebrand, wanting to feel out her opponent first, decided to go for a lockup first, and go from there...

Sanae smiled wider as she took Firebrand's hand, eagerly returning the shake. This girl had a can-do attitude, she saw, and she was excited to see how she would bring that energy to the ring! "That's right! Show me what you can do..."

Sanae returned to her corner, doing a few stretches to warm up, but the bell rang before she knew it, and the match was officially on! She wasted no time in moving in closer to the center of the ring, meeting Firebrand face to face. But as soon as they came into range, the green-haired girl dropped into a stance, extending her hands forward to take Firebrand in a lockup. No matter what happened, she was serious, and she was committed to giving this her all. Sanae clenched her teeth as she drew on her strength, leaning in toward her opponent to try and steer her backward. Her heels dug against the mat, keepng herself firmly in place.

Firebrand nodded at her chipper opponent's pep talk and received the lockup gladly, unfortunately, it seemed that the two lightweight's strentgh was basically equal as neither competitor seemed to get a clear advantage. Firebrand soon got frustrated and shoved Sanae away, and she would use the momentum of the shove to turn around with a hard roundhouse kick, and if this was successful, she would slide quickly to where her opponent had fallen and lock in a body scissors, hoping to wear her opponent down to set up for more elaborate moves later...

Despite her smaller size, Sanae was determined to prove to Firebrand that she wasn't going to let anyone push her around. She had the fiery spirit to keep on fighting no matter what, and she held herself firm, bracing herself in a stance and holding tight against the masked girl. Firebrand, however, seemed to have much the same idea; no matter how much Sanae tried to push herself back against her, she wouldn't budge. Sanae clenched her teeth, sweat beading on her brow from exertion. She had to throw everything she could into this!

But in the end, it was Firebrand who would get in the last word. She pushed back on Sanae with one sharp jerk of her body, and the break in the push and pull between the two girls was enough to take the aspiring idol off guard. She let go of Firebrand and stumbled backward with a gasp - which left her in range for her opponent to whip herself around with a roundhouse kick, her leg plowing into Sanae with enough force to knock her legs out from under her!

Sanae winced as she fell back, landing against the canvas with a thud. She tried to shake herself, but Firebrand was already on her, locking her legs into place around the green-haired girl's waist. Feeling the pressure mounting around her midsection, Sanae groaned, wriggling on the ground as she struggled to twist her waist from side to side. When that didn't work, however, Sanae realized she would need to look toward other methods. Clenching her teeth, she reached for Firebrand's ankle where her legs crossed over her body, attempting to pry it off of her waist and break the hold.

Firebrand had to admit, even though she was the one with "Fire" in her name, it seemed that her opponent was just as fiery as he was, as not ten seconds into her hold, was Sanae was already trying to pry her legs open, and not in a sexy way, either, but, the hold wasn't really to get her to submit, it was way too early for that, it was to wear Sanae down. Through an impressive will and determination that even Firebrand had to admire, Sanae managed to pry Firebrand's legs apart and get out of the hold. Firebrand would roll out of the way before her opponent could counter. Firebrand would stare at her opponent for a minute and nodded in approvement. This was going to be fun!
